Totally agree. I think this has been the case for several years. Always pushing the boundaries. I got the Forged Tec X irons and I’m a 3 hcp. Great feel, very forgiving and long. Highly recommend.
I got my RAD SPEED with hzrdus shaft for $178 after Amazon bonuses. I couldn't resist snd have picked up a lot of distance over my 10+ year oldTM R11S. Got the radspeed 3W and 19° Cobra Hybrid. Solid clubs
I’ve been running the LTDX LS driver, LTDX one length irons and the Cobra Nova 40 for the last 6 months and have been very happy with all of it. I love the style and appreciate the technology that seems to help improve my very average game. Totally agree that Cobra is up there, if not on top, when it comes to current innovations all around. Great content!!! Keep ‘em coming! Hope you all in FL are safe… 🤘🏾
good to see cobra getting some love!! i am one who goes to fittings with an open mind , within the last year have purchased a ltdx driver, forge tec irons and a 3d super nova putter . i chose cobra because they performed better for me than other brands. ive been playing for 25 years and never purchased anything cobra until now. i whole heartily agree that cobra as a brand is putting out some of the best gear in golf.
LTDx is a perfect driver. Most importantly, Love that you brought up the fact about the Tour Length option. That is why I use Cobra drivers. The TL is easier to hit both fairways, and bombs. LTDx Tour Length is incredible.
Gabe, LOL! Do you know how much validation I get from seeing today’s video title/description?!?! At some point I would like to tell you the story behind the MIM irons idea. That started back in 1994 when I was an engineering student intern. I would love to share it with your audience.
Happy to see you made it through Ian 🎉 I had Cobra One Length for awhile…didn’t work for me though. I’m sporting the PXG 0211 XCore2’s right now and loving them!
I agree. I have the vintage sport 60 putter and absolutely love it. It gives a lot of control on the looooong putts. I also have the radspeed 5w & 7w in the bag.
Im a huge fan of Cobra’s early 2000 models. That being said…as far as innovation goes…no other company comes close right now! Another great video! It was great bumping into you today. Play well my friend
@@LetsPlayThru sadly no. Was looking for a club that could produce slightly more then my 5 wood but all the 3 woods I demoed didn’t come close. Tried to use my 20 dollar credit you so generously got us on some golf balls but they didn’t have a single box of Titleist Trufeels lol
Love Cobra, play the radspeed irons and really enjoy them. Recently went from a sport 45 to a SIK SHO slant neck….. loved the sport 45 but a noticeable upgrade even more consistent and way better feel.
I would agree about the putters. I finally got my hands on the Grand Sport arm lock and have putted really well with it. I'm ambivalent about one length and didn't find the Forge Tec to be any better than anything else I've tried this year. I really don't think you can credit Cobra for the SIK face though. Yes, well done for persuading SIK to let you use it but that's it.
Totally agree Gabe. I only have a Cobra hybrid and most of the club's in my bag are Taylormade, but they are a fantastic brand whom l feel don't get the recognition they deserve.
I haven’t been back in golf for long but Cobra stands out. They’ve tried to push the mold more than the others. Them and Takomo have had quite a year for golf in my opinion. Their reviews are basically “why are the this good?” I’ll soon be getting a matching LTDX driver and 3 wood (finally got the wife signed off on it).
I agree Cobra is making a real name for itself lately. As a product designer myself I was drawn to their designs several years back and use a Cobra driver as a result. Thinking of making my next set of irons Cobra as well.
My bag is a mix of Ping woods and PXG irons. But the most important club in my bag is my Cobra Rad Speed One Length 4Hybrid. That club gets me out of almost all trouble I get in to. Fantastic in the rough, tree troubles, fairway bunkers, around greens. I just can't give it up.
Every club in my bag is Cobra except for my driving iron. I got fit last year at the Cobra Tour Fitting in Encinitas. They are definitely thinking outside the box. Love my clubs!!
Bryson’s results out on (clears throat) “tour” … I do agree Cobra really should be commended for their tech but was surprised you didn’t mention the milled face on their drivers
Ive recently ordered the Cobra Vintage Nova fang putter with custom Breakthrough Golf shaft at 35.5" and1 degree flat. Going to be a sweet putting experience very soon!
I agree with most exhibits, however E I will have to challenge you on. Ricky Fowler is 5’9 and I believe that’s the reason why is clubs are shorter due to his proper fitting.
Your video production quality has really gone through the roof. Great looking product on your end! Now if Cobra, or any club manufacturer, could slow down Father Time, I’d be grateful.
i have their SZ fairway woods and they are great value, the big plus is the loft is adjustable. i use the "setup at impact" swing very similar to Bryson, just easier on my back. I would like to try the single length irons, but there are none within a 3hr drive to try, unless a rep comes to town with some.
Just bought a set of last years forged tec in copper. I love them. I’d like to see you try some Sub70 stuff. I think you’d really like what they have to offer, and I’d love to hear your opinion.
I can't prove you wrong Gabe. I agree with you. Most definitely the most improved brand competing against the big 3. I have a cobra putter as well and agree with your statements. Although I might have been forced to start using a Scotty now... 🤔 😂😂😂. Plus arccos is the best automatic tracking system in my opinion.
Can’t disagree. I’ve been playing cobra for years. Just bought the full line of rad speed clubs and absolutely love them. Have not purchased one of the new putters yet but they are certainly intriguing.
I agree. Cobra has been the most innovative over the last few years. My one criticism is to please stop changing the driver weight shapes. If you are an equipment geek/fitter, it’s great to accumulate some weights for driver brands and be able to re use them in future products. Changing the shape of the moveable weights is maddening. Particularly given how hard the manufacturers make it to get custom weights from them.
I wholeheartedly agree! Particularly when I look at some of the technology packed into Bryson Dechambeau gear and what he discusses on his channel alone.
I love Bryson, but the OneLengths I tried didn't have enough gapping. I'm not necessarily a slow swing speed either. 8 irons = 160yds 5 irons = 180yds Really need better gapping than that for them to work for me. Which is a shame because I love the idea! Maybe a different/more spread set of them would work? I'm not sure. P.S. Yes, I agree on Cobra too! Love their brand.
agreed, they are definitely pushing design and innovation, i picked up one of their stingay putters and it rolls true and right where im aiming every time.
Hi Gabe, I play the new forged tec irons which are amazing, but I have an Evnroll ER8v putter which is one of the best putters ever made IMO, but those Cobra putters seem legit as well!!
I have always been a Cobra fan. My dream set would be the Forged Tec MIM. I've tried the One-Length and they didn't work for me. Cobra Connect works if you have the after-market sensor. I tried with my cell phone and app. Didn't work. I have the Rad Speed driver and it is the best driver I have owned. No hype, real added distance and control
Compelling arguments for sure. I think all of the companies that are successful have a big R&D department. Almost all of them can claim some sort of ‘groundbreaking’ design be it Jailbreak technology, Carbon Face, Variable Face Thickness etc. etc. But Cobra does a great job of creating top tier clubs that often are 100-150 dollars cheaper than their competition. The LTD LS came very close to going in my bag. The company makes outstanding clubs for sure.
They aren’t afraid to step outside the box, and surprised more people don’t give them a shot. Have a used set of F9 speedback irons on the way to hopefully replace my 0211dc that I’m not impressed with. Did you ever hit the F9’s
Just got me a Radspeed XB driver and the thing is honestly insane. It's the first driver I've ever had that I don't have to think or worry about at all I just smash lol
Wasn't the AMP cell the set that had the cheap plastic dampening badge on the back that would come off all the time. A good friend had a set and the ball really went far, but things were always falling off.
The F9 was my favorite driver, but it did not last long. Got the speedzone, and after 8, 9 months, caved the face in. The Radspeed was mediocre. The LTDX was very forgiving, and long. Switched to the LTDX LS, and won my first long drive in a tournament, at 370 yards. Now the LS is not as forgiving, but longer for my swing. I game all Cobra, sans my putter. Radspeed irons, F7 3\4 Hybrid, Radspeed 3, and 5 wood, and the LTDX LS. I wouldn't trade them for any other brand.
I used to be a Ping guy, but I think their products lack innovation and they are now trading on their past successes. I'm in the market for a premium 5 hybrid and after hitting a few, it's between the Stealth and the Cobra King Tec. Really tempted by the Cobra, it has amazing adjustability and feels top-notch.
Great Video. Depends i think, I’m all for innovation but it’s also got to be good. Like a 3D printed putter is cool and innovative but is it better than a Scotty or Toulon? I don’t think so. So Innovation also has to be competitive in the market against the market leading brands in terms of a performance aspect. The new forged Tec Irons are great but I wouldn’t call them innovative, They’re a great product that is a hollow body construction iron. The Sik face is awesome but that’s not a Cobra innovation, that’s a Sik innovation that Cobra have incorporated because of Bryson.
I think Cobra is def top 3, and maybe #1. I’d also put PXG and Takomo on that list. I think PXG is a bit gimmicky, but they do seem to innovate (and the putters are underrated).
I play Titleist but would agree that Cobra are innovative however love or hate them Taylormade often lead look at the only 5 piece golf ball and their driver technology and speed pocket technology, they have now moved to carbon.
Although I agree that Cobra is certainly innovative, it could be argued that Tour Edge is equally innovative if not more so. Obviously they have different business models, but both produce outstanding equipment at outstanding value compared to the stupidly expensive big brands with their outrageous advertising and sponsorship budgets.
Innovative maybe but in terms on actually a winning brand? There's only 1 person on tour using 1 length irons and not many players winning consistently with their clubs
I ❤️ you gabe, but Bryson is a d bag!!!!! Aint no way im giving up my saacks parente putter for a cobra? Heck i wouldn't give it up for my scotty cameron. 1 putter man here.
Prove you wrong? Innovation is dead. Why? Forgiveness? CAPPED. MOI? CAPPED. Ballspeed? CAPPED. Thats it. Its now purely aesthetics and cost. I will say though the arccos... is... quite powerful. If you give it enough of a sample set that over the course of a season, it WILL absolutely give you a very good suggestion to hit for your next shot. I tried that multiple times the last two rounds of the year when my swing was the best and it was correct almost the entire time. almost. So to put it in perspective. The second year of my golf league, but this year I went from a 28hcp to a 17.5hcp. Did arccos help? yes. Was it the whole story... no. That was mostly finally learning a swing for my irons. However combined with the data from arccos it did help. The arccos link sucks though thing is finicky as hell. Avoid it. my phone worked lighyears better more often. I will grant them the design though. They were near #1 when I did my fitting for how they looked at address. That did not though offset how hey felt when I hit them. Would I discount them the next time? no.
I'm sure the engineers at TaylorMade would strongly disagree since we have moved into the carbon age of golf gear. I think the red faced plastic driver is a bit of a gimmick. I agree, Cobra is releasing some great clubs. Nice job Gabe.
Totally agree. I think this has been the case for several years. Always pushing the boundaries. I got the Forged Tec X irons and I’m a 3 hcp. Great feel, very forgiving and long. Highly recommend.
