Youve def got the right idea here - I like how the hi-lights emphasise the curls at the back of your head at 11:55. Once your hair has grown out, I would do another perm using either the red rods again or one size larger, and do white blonde hi-lights, but using the frosting cap method instead. That will give nice even results over your whole head that are similar to the back of your head this time!

It's all part of a learning experience! I think you should carry on with both perm and blonde highlights in future as this looks really good on you! Doing this on healthy new growth hair should be fine - it's just your hair was over processed before you did it this time!

You shouldn’t bleach hair that has been permed due to metallic salts, it can burn straight off.
