I started riding in probably 1981. I have NEVER rode a bike that approaches the grace and beauty of my Wing!! Powerful, elegant, smooth, sexy, sporty, and utilitarian all at the same time!! What more could a rider want?!! My vote is the Wing!!! Hands down, no hesitation.
I've owned a Harley Dyna, Roadking, and Road Glide Ultra along with a 2018 Honda Goldwing DCT but after I damaged the frame on the DCT I went to a 2016 (older body style) Goldwing that was like new and so far I am in love with this bike. The 2016 Goldwing would be my choice to ride forever.
I definitely agree. I started my Sidecar business on the Electra glide classic and found it too weak, too loud, too fatiguing to ride. I can transport 4 passengers and pull a 250 pound sidecar up the hills of San Diego no problem.
Hey Mike; same. I've owned 3 Harley baggers. I recently purchased a '13 F6B with just 14k miles and I love it. How was the frame damaged on the 2018 DCT? I'm in Atlanta.
@@chilipalmer2428 I believe what i hit was a broken leaf spring off a truck. It hit the crossmember right on the tip of one of those square blocks that stick out like a sore thumb on the 2018+ that holds the center stand. I initially thought oh well i can live without a center stand then i got a good look at the damage and it didn't just bust off one of those square blocks but cracked all the way around the back and if you look at the back of that cross member it holds part of the rear suspension so i knew then this bike was dead in the water.
@@chilipalmer2428 I absolutely love this bike as when i found it it only had 6.7K miles on it and the dealership did a fresh oil change, clutch and brake fluid change and threw on new tires so it was like a brand new bike. Ive got a couple more years left on my truck payments and when thats done i want to get a 2015-2017 F6B to have with my GL1800.
Hello Folks! After 9 years and 40k (the motorcycle and the parts/accessories, no including maintenance) I traded my 2014 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Limited FHLTK for a simple 2016 Honda Goldwing 😊, I found it with just 433 Miles on dash, lol.... Luckily for me, the dealer informed me that the Goldwing was in a box/crate until 2019 and the previous owner park the motorcycle in his house in Florida and then he went north to his other house. The truth is that I am super happy with my Goldwing, my friends always told me that Harleys are good motorcycles but I don't think so after I tried the Goldwing. I finally have my Goldwing and I don't regret it, it's atotally reliable motorcycle And it's not expensive like I've been told for years.
The goldwing is the king of the road! I wanted one for many, many years...I finally bought one. A 2005 with 38,000 miles one owner mint condition paid 9,000 and I love the bike. Awesome machine wouldn't want anything else.
Greetings and happy new year! We are on the same team then. I hope you found the review helpful and accurate. Thanks for participating in the conversation - I recently release a second review of the Goldwing - a buyers guide for the generation you own along with all the issues they are known for so you might find it useful. Also, I will be releasing a series of episodes about a rebuild of my own 1979 blue wing (I released a video today about what's coming in 2021) so please consider subscribing to be informed when they come out. I have the 2003 Wing in Candy Apple Orange and bought it because of the colour mainly. After 63 years of riding over a dozen types of bikes, and over a million miles in total mileage all over the world, the Wing is my final and last bike. Had I known it was such a perfect touring machine, I would have moved to the Wing much earlier in life. I have spent a lot of money customizing it for comfort and I am now easily able to travel in a day much further on the Wing than in either of my cars. As you say in the video, it handles beautifully and is as sporting a bike as I have ever had...nothing missing there at all The saddest part is that now that I have the perfect machine for me, my touring days are coming to an end due to increasing age. At 75, I am of the mindset that the day I sell my Wing is the first official day of old age. This 20 year old superb machine looks like and performs like the day it rolled off the assembly line as I am anal about maintenance. Old age will only necessitate changing the switches on both handlebars but they are literally an easy change out at about $125 a side ( you don't want to ever be in Upper Rubber Boot, Montana and find yourself stuck in reverse.......) The Wing is the ultimate machine. There is nothing finer for real long distance touring. Your mileage may vary but you have my vote.......
Thank you so much for sharing! What a cool story - I too am saving up for my own new Gold Wing - believing it to be the ultimate motorcycle one actually wishes to keep for a lifetime. I don't know what you are going through regarding potentially retiring from motorcycling, but I can only imagine - I have made motorcycling my life and lively-hood since I hit my 18th birthday and got that endorsement. I could not imagine giving it up. If fate revealed to me that my last breath is destined to be on a motorcycle, I would ride until that day with a smile on my face and gratitude in my heart. It's such a supreme form of life experience, education, therapy... You let me know when you feel like it's time to park it for good, and I will be happy to draw you a gorgeous route somewhere near you to end the riding career with a bang. Personally the Utah area for me is most dramatic, and riding there is always a sublime - practically a holy pilgrimage. Thank you so much for sharing - I really appreciate it.
@@pegasusmotorcycletours Sir, I am with you totally in regards to the motorcycling lifestyle. I have driven most of Europe back in the late ;50's early 60' and pretty much all of the USA and Canada since then. I have had (listing only the good ones...had lots of mediocre ones), a Honda 305 Dream and a 1966 Yamaha Venture, both of which I was well pleased with until I bought the ultimate touring machine, my beautiful 2003 Orange Goldwing. I have driven over a million kilometers over the years, but now I find myself concerned with going for more than a day trip simply because I am my wife's primary care person. I do not want to risk things at my age purely for her sake. Enjoy your motorcycling ventures and never let negative thoughts keep you from enjoying a truly life altering way of travel. If I could turn back time to be your age again, I would only drive and tour MORE than I have done (and work less..much less) and see places I passed by thinking I would get there again and never did. Take life one day at a time and enjoy it like that. With luck, your ticket wont be cashed for a long time. Best wishes my friend
@@TOURMANBOB Thank you for the inspiring advice - we all need to hear it more often from veteran ADV riders such as yourself - it's easy to have "life" get in the way, and I try my best to make this youtube channel my hobby, and not my livelihood, because it takes a ton of time. I try hard to fight off the need to be on all the other social media sites since they are so time consuming- I hope others find more time to ride rather than to click through other people's adventures - the purpose of this channel is to inform and help riders go out and ride - next time I pass through Montana (assuming that's where you live) I will say hello - I'm eager to hear a story of two from the road...
No, I live in the capitol city of Ottawa in Canada. Montana, Wyoming and Utah were my favourite touring locations in North America and I have visited there many times over the last 40 years. At the moment, we are buried in snow, so the lady is "asleep" until early April. I envy you guys out on the west coast with all year riding at your disposal. All the best, and as my lifelong touring partner said to me just before he died of brain cancer..." keep the rubber down" (he follows me now as a guardian angel just over my shoulder...:)) @@pegasusmotorcycletours

pretty accurate. I'm now older and have been middle income w/ no kids for a long time. I bought mine in 2003, at 37 years old, and have enjoyed 20 plus years of weekend rides and frequent transportation to and from work or errands. You're spot on if you could buy one and enjoy, this is the bike. Sometimes I don't like all the plastic and dislike the air filter access but it will keep putting a smile on my face when I hop on and get a little spirit. I'll just keep it until I'm 6 feet under!
I feel the same about goldwings. Every time I sell one I moss all it has to offer. It makes my life easier since I commute via motorcycle. Some other bikes I own might give me more of a rush but they don't do what the wing does in terms of its utility.
Nice review, thanks. I just got a 2006 GL1800 back on the road after purchasing it as an insurance write off and fixing it up. Very different bike to get used to after also having grown up on sport bikes. Think I need to get it resprung as it's loving to drag the centre stand and footpegs at the moment. But absolutely cannot fault the power and comfort. It balances surprisingly easy for it's weight at low speed. The real mind bender is adjusting to 5 gears and low redline, have to change gears and drive it more like a car in that respect. Not sure if I could ever only own a Goldwing... but I still have my GSX-R1000 track bike so all bases are covered for now!
You definitely do. I started in the gsxr and understand the appeal. I agree that a sixth gear would have been appreciated. Thanks for watching and safe riding. Nik.
Yep... gotta agree... absolutely love my 2012 wing! I've ridden many different brands and models of bikes and I have to say the goldwing has earned its place as #1 for me... best of all worlds... Goldwing is king...😉😁

06 “ Gold “ gold wing, 8 years running now , gave up my 84 aspencade Ya said it all in one statement. If your not smiling EVERY time you get off , then DON’T get back on ! Thanks.
The problem with a Gl1800 is that once you have one you won’t be happy riding anything else. Sold my first 2001 Wing and shopped around for my next ride.....realized other bikes seemed inferior to me. Got an 08 Wing now. Love it. BTW I enjoy having a radio, nice to have onboard entertainment for the long hauls. All the handlebar buttons are backlit on the 06 (I think) and newer bikes.
You know, I have to agree with you - at no time did this bike leave me wanting something more - for a daily commuter and weekend warrior. Obviously the limitations are understood and go without saying - but the Goldwing has a fan in me for life, and it's the only bike I can imagine owning my entire life. Also, have you seen what can be done when you strip an older one down to the bare bones!? Wow, what a magnificent bobber that can produce.

I had a Kawasaki KLR650 dual sport that I commuted on for 10 years at 120 miles a day. I had a blast with that bike, but the highway wind beat the snot out of me. This year I traded it for a 2001 Goldwing and I am so loving this bike!! Its got massive amounts of power, it's so nimble, great comfort and wind protection, lots of storage space, great radio and controls. Believe it or not the mirrors are my favorite thing, they are perfectly situated and I can see cars coming from all around me. It's a 900 lb bike which gives me greak comfort on the highway in stiff wind conditions. The seating position is just like my dirt bike, my feet are on the pegs just below my knees...very comfortable and no stress on my legs. I should have bought one years ago. I plan to make this my last bike. I bought it used with 49k miles for $5k and it looks and rides like new. I just replaced the air filter myself and it was way easier than I thought it would be. Honda did an awesome job of making the bike easy to maintain. It's just as easy to maintain as my dirt bike was. I'll do all my own work on this bike and save bundles of money. It's a great daily commuter/ sport touring bike.
Thanks for that - 120 miles a day on the KLR would be brutal. I have one with 40k miles on it so I know. But I'm glad you agree the gold wing is the king of the road. It has everything one could want in a bike, if that bike were his or her only ride. Mine has a sidecar o. It now so it's strictly a business mule, but I sure do miss it solo. I'll have to get another soon. Thanks for the support.

I've been looking at other offerings in the Gold Wing's category, and thanks to this video, I'm warming nicely to the Gold Wing. I had a '95 750 Magna in Pearl Yellow that I really loved. Honda is legendary for their quality, intelligent design (read here ease of maintenance!).
I too have been surprised at how maintenance free and easy to work on the Gold Wing has been - compared to the Harley counterpart - the Electra glide. The difference in the amount of fatigue I have after each ride is tremendous between the two bikes. I too am a huge fan of Honda bikes. Thanks for the input - I have no experience with the Magna, but have been looking for a full faired Sabre for a while now, from 1984 preferably. I understand those were later renamed Saber, then Magna. Cheers! Nik

Early on in my ownership of a 2012 BMW R1200GS Adventure I was riding some easy single track trails though the forest when it dawned on me; I'm riding a Gold Wing through the forrest! This massive machine is sure footed and nimble over all types of terrain and when the trail ends and you're back on pavement it has no problem gobbling up hundreds of miles in plush comfort. The whole reason I bought it was I was on an amazing road on my street bike when out of nowhere the pavement and my journey for the day ended when the road turned to gravel. Even if I never took it off road, the huge tank gives me over 400 miles of range, nothing else on the market does this.
Not an incorrect assessment of the most iconic adv bike on the market. However there is something that has more.impresive stars, and that Guzzis adv bike, the stelvio. Similar road and dirt capabilities, but a larger tank. Half the price on the used market too. I also loved my super tenure reviewed on this Chanel.
Good video. I agree 100% about radios on motorcycles. I have had two Yamaha ventures and a BMW K 1200 LT. I’ve never listened to the radio. I did have recordings made of some of my favorite songs, they quickly became songs I used to like.. I have owned dozens and dozens and dozens of motorcycles. Actually 106. If I had to have just one motorcycle. It would be a Honda pacific coast. I have been riding them commuting mostly for 24 years. I have upgraded the suspension front and rear, the only Corbin seat I ever tried that was any good for me, a taller windshield, and reel horns off of a Moto Guzzi I owned in 1979. Those horns go with me from bike to bike to bike now. I own a yellow 2002 Gold Wing. Great bike, but if I had to just do with one ,it would be the Pacific coast. I consider the Pacific coast the greatest motorcycle in the history of the universe.. Like I said, I’ve had dozens and dozens of motorcycles since 1968. I have over 700,000 miles behind bars. And in my opinion, the Honda pacific coast is the best of the motorcycles I have owned. The most useful. It’s my mule..you get no heat onto the rider in hot weather. Zero heat. In cold weather, the faring protect you from the wind chill. It has hydraulic valve adjustment, shaft drive, two spark plugs per cylinder which means it will run on Mexican gasoline, they actually use the Pacific coast in London as taxis because of the horrible traffic jams there. I like my Gold Wing, I like my Moto Guzzi norge,But I love my Honda Pacific Coast
Wow! You don't hear much about the PC these days - I haven't seen one in years. Thanks for bringing that into the conversation. And my goodness - you have a lot of bikes under your belt. I am a tad bit envious of all the experience with so many different rides - that's my goal in life - to try as many as I can. It's nice to know the perfect bike is out there - you seem to have found it - It gives me more will to continue the exciting search :) Thanks for your input. Much appreciated! How about top 5 then?

Straining the engine at 90? I’ve ridden my 06 across the country five times and there have been stretches where I cruised 110 for hours with no strain at all.
Hey there - thanks for your message. Point taken. Would you agree though that it could really benefit from a 6th gear - more so this large, heavy touring beast made for the highway than any other bike?

I started out in the 70s with Yamaha 400, Kawasaki 400, stopped riding. Resumed riding 2016 with Victory Sport Cruiser, then Triumph Rocket III. Now I've purchased a 1990 Honda Goldwing GL1500 SE. Test rode it. Loved it. Picking it up October of this year. it has everything all the other bikes didn't have stock. I got all the others out of my system and the Goldwing is at the top of the food chain.
Greetings and welcome to the channel. Thanks for contributing to the conversation. Congratulations I'm joining the Brotherhood of Goldwing owners. I've never owned the 1500 but I've owned to first generation gold wings and if you care to know what they are like, I posted a review of those 1970s motorcycles recently in my playlist. They were titled King of Kings by Honda when they were produced. And they remain so. Thanks again for being here and please look forward to more Goldwing reviews. If you are interested, I also interviewed a gentleman, traveling Carpenter who pulls a trailer behind his Gold Wing. Till the next time. Nik

showed a lot of interesting features i havent seen on other reviews. most of the others just hop on and ride. nice to see someone taking the time to show and not just talk about how stuff operates on this bike. given how fast these bikes lose value i would never purchase one new. used and well cared for is the best way to shop. ps, i hate that yellow color but to each their own.
Thanks for the support. I agree with you about filming style - I have no patience for videos with people just talking in their Bluetooth as they ride down the street. I'm glad what I am doing is useful to the community. As for the yellow, the video can never do it justice - the pearl yellow is definitely eye catching - give it a chance hahaha, I have never met someone who didn't like it. I have a 2012 Goldwing and I have ridden a 2020. When I don't like about them is that the motors don't rev like a normal motorcycle. I compared the motor to the V8 in my truck. It has a lot of torque but not much rev. My previous touring bike was a Kawasaki Voyager 1200. That motor seemed a lot more interesting to me.
Thank you for that - work is play when you love what you do. I also am lucky to be working with one of my best friends, and the best traveled men I have ever met, check out his inspiring landscape photography for destination ideas at PengShi.com - as for the Gold Wing, keep in mind if you take it for a ride, it is highly likely you will want to keep it. I'm glad we agree. I just test rode a 1977 wing and it rides as strong as a locomotive. Gotto respect a bike that can roll after 4 decades. Thanks for watching, I have a new bike review coming out next week so please consider subscribing. Cheers, Nik

I’ve own an ‘06, ‘08 and now a ‘19 Goldwing. The ‘19 is by far my favorite Goldwing and a contender for the number one spot. But if I had to pick only one to do it all, it would be the FJR1300. It’s sportier and fits my riding style a little bit better, It’s easier to work on and it’s a tad more comfortable for me.
Interesting - thanks for the suggestion re: FJR. I've always been interested, and their used prices are really attractive. I'll definitely pull the trigger on the next good one I find - I have no experience with it thus far.
@@pegasusmotorcycletours I have an 07 FJR 1300 and as far as I'm concerned it's possibly the most beautiful power-bike made (please feel free to disagree politely, as we all have our individual tastes) but TODAY I went and bought a 2003 Goldwing! I love it so far, and the reason I bought it was for longer trips than are comfortable on the FJR (400 miles a day on my FJR is max because of my knee/leg issues) so I thought I would extend my range, and my legs, and go BIG! Please don't hesitate to go after an FJR... lovely bike all around.
@@chrismaggio7879 CONGRATS! That great, I am happy for you. Yes, I do agree that the FJR is a great looking bike - I've been looking for one honestly and will be reviewing it in the near future. I have also been looking for the Kawa 1400. But at the moment, the newest addition not even a week old is a 2006 BMW K1200S - with luggage of course. Please stay tuned, and in the meantime thanks for participating in the conversation - and go enjoy your new ride!

Love the review man, definitely the Goldwing rocks! But hey, I just gotta ask a tiny question: why ride the bike in between vehicles instead of doing the lane-change thing? Seems so many people who do the review vids are into that... just wondering that's all.....
Hi Timothy - thanks for your question and thank for being here and participating in the conversation. California is the only state in the country that allows lane splitting. Lane splitting is an incredibly valuable practice for bikers cause its safer - contrary to popular belief. I actually did a 2 part video about lane splitting on this channel so I urge you to see them - it's common abroad, and it would be so beneficial for all motorists if lane splitting was introduced nationwide. For example, if only 10 percent of drivers switched to commuting by moto, it would alleviate 40 percent of traffic congestion!!! Think of the time and money that would save. Please check the two videos out - I think you'll learn a lot of useful info.

GL1800 yes but on the 2001-2017 generation you have to do a few things right away to make it top of the line. Front suspension is briefly garbage on a stock bike. Why Honda did that is a big question but... You need to upgrade it to either Progressive or Traxxion Dynamics suspension and also replace stock cheap bearings with ceramic ones. Then put on a front brace and you have a superb bike with no wobble or other riding issues. Earlier models (2001-2005) had also a temperature-rising issue at a slow speed, side radiator cooling fans needed to be rewired in the opposite direction. 2006+ models have better cooling, correctly wired fans, better and bigger radiators, better speakers, and a new cluster. Stock seat is so-so and if you ride a lot think about Corbin or Saddleman seat upgrade. Always use good tires like Bridgestone Exedra (I prefer these) or Dunlop Elite 4.
Tommy thanks so much for that wealth of information. Those looking at buying the GW will be grateful for it. Although I have had another 5th gen GW, I made a video, a second part to this review about what to look out for when buying the GW, but a lot of this information you added is new to me. So thank you for that. I hope you take a look at that video and let me know if you think it was accurate. Presently I am trying to revive a 79 blue GL!000. Needles to say I am quite a fan. Thanks again for being here. A few days ago I interviewed a nomad who pulls a tent trailers behind his 180 k mile GW. That was an interesting conversation and it will be released this weekend. Please consider subscribing to get notified when it does, and I hope to hear from you in future video. Thanks again!
@@pegasusmotorcycletours Another great review, yeah. Very useful to learn a lot about Goldwings and share experience is the www.gl1800riders.com/ A forum where GL enthusiasts are hanging around. I love your videos but .... 4:17 you scared me bro.... geee. I would never ride like that between cars especially not on a heavy beast like GL1800. Not recommended... Ride safe and many greetings from Chicago!

You mention the 06+ has better cooling, radiators, speakers and cluster.. I have a chance to get an '05 30th anniversary edition with 13k miles, should I pass and look for an 06+??.. to me the 05, 06,07 and 08 look like they have the same cluster
I probably would choose the Golding do to this video plus my own experience owning a 1500 model I also owned a Harley full dresser which at low speed is a little more nimble but the Golding features and longevity sell me on a lifetime of ownership! Thanks for the video!!
Thanks for watching. Yes, pulling the plug usually works as a workaround. I haven't tried it with the GW though. With the goldwing it's actually difficult to engage it cause locking up the rear takes a lot of effort - on dry asphalt anyways. This is due to the linked brakes. Why do you hate it so much? I too could do without it but the idea is you need it when you aren't expecting (wet, slick, sand on pavement). I love the linked brakes on my Honda vfr. Great tec. If you enjoyed this video you might appreciate my review of my first gen gold wing with some interesting history as well. Thanks for watching.
Great video! I've also own a GW 06 in mint condition. I'm 46 but I've bought my wing at 40 because I like to travel a lot. I've always ride sportsbikes, owned dozen of these bikes and still own a 05 CBR 1000rr and 07 CB1300 Super Four both strictly stock in mint condition but I agree, the GW It's for life, I can't even think in not having my wing in my garage. Of course I ride my others bikes and love them so much, every bike has a place in my heart and bring me a lot of joy. I have to say that I also had HD's but this is a different story to me, I'm prefer the Wing hands down but I also respect the opinion and choice of every HD's riders. To me, the GW's are extremely reliable, cheap to maintain, easy of use, sporty, good looking and very comfortable, the best (Sport) touring bike ever.
Couldn't agree with you more. I also owned a Harley Electra glide Classic - and although I loved that bike - I sold it since it was so much more fatiguing to ride. No comparison really. The gold wing will always be a classic (very nearly picked up. a mint condition 1978 model with only 18k miles). Thanks for the comment! Nik

this review was extremely useful as im looking at one right now for sale the low top end speed is a little upsetting but i guess in reality id probably not push more than 80 mph
Glad to hear you found it useful. Please do check out my buyers guide for the Goldwing as well where I outline the main issues to watch out for. I also reviewed the first generation GW in case you are interested in the history of the bike. I also just sold a practically ne 5th gen with only 1600 miles to one of my viewers. Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for the support.
I see that your comment is a year old but thought I would reply to you. I've had my Wing going 120+ mph and there was a little left in the bike but not in me. A lot of people are afraid of some of the big roads. I have been on interstate route 95 with the cruise set at 80 mph all day long. Rocky Mount, NC, 540 miles home in a day.
I think the fjr gen 3 would be my pick. The six speed transmission increased gearing 10 percent over gen 2, which also had a 2,7 percent taller top gear than gen 1. I find most large bikes do not have tall enough gearing, although the gen 3 fjr does. One of the criticisms of the gl 1800 is that it could have had a sixth gear, or taller gearing. This is solvable, through commissioning a gear manufacturer to cut a larger drive pinion gear for the final drive, and space the driven pinion gear, but it would cost. if I was allowed to alter the gearing, then the Goldwing gets the nod. 10:39
Just over two years ago, I traded a 2012 Goldwing for an Indian Roadmaster. The GW is a decent ride, but has a personality of a refrigerator. Looking past a few design flaws and limited aftermarket options, Polaris has it figured out on the Roadmaster. Maybe one day in the future, if I feel the need for a quiet ride, I will go back to Honda.
Thanks for sharing. I too owned a scout, also reviewed on this channel and I absolutely loved it. Amazing bike and build quality. But I think the comparison is unwarranted due to the very different nature of the twin engine vs the boxer 6. The whole point for the GW is to be quiet, low revving, low vibration, basically the company lete opposite of the Electra glide which I also owned, during the same time too. Bit I agree, it's not very.charismatic. the styling between the two is polar opposite as well from heritage classic to ultra modern. Classic never goes out of style. Tha ks for planting the seed, I'm curious to own one myself in the near future.
Having owned the roadmaster, gen 5 and gen 6 wings, preference is driven by riding style. My 23 tour 6 speed allows me, and my wife to ride very comfortably. When riding solo I can hustle the wing way more than the Indian. Living in NC I never worry about slow traffic in summer heat. The Indian’s touch screen is very nice. For me, if I only have one ( which is true), the wing is hands down the one for me.
Glad you asked that question! As Ive thought about it for years! One bike for the rest of your life? To me? Its easy! Answer is The BMW 1200 GS Adventure! Near heres why! Supose your tour the rest of your life? Eventually...Someone is going to force you off the road..probably at 75 mph or so!? Now? Youre touring ..so you want to be on something thats a comfortable ride? At this point ...going from pavement to turf? Youre going to crash! Unless youre on one life saving bike!!!!! And that is the GS! Ive had mine up to a hundred miles an hour on a freshly graveled road and felt totally safe! A Goldwing would go down so fast...there would be no time to think! I cant say enough about The BMW GS! They are just heavy enough for the highway...yet just light enough for unpaved state roads. With Jesse bags...a ton of gear or groceries are easily carried. I am suprised this guy here? Didnt mention the fact! That the 1800 Goldwing is probably the best touring Sport Bike ever made! Look on You Tube at the famous eleven mile piece of road called Deals Gap! Theres videos on there of a fella on a yellow Gold Wing...burning up those 313 curves with only highly skilled racers on racing sport bikes able to keep up with him! Its something to do with Hondas frame ergonomics I had a 1999 Honda Valkyrie that my son ended up with .He took the bike across country and back!!! With his little girlfriend on the back and 60 pounds of camping gear. She said ...that at nite...going thru the twisties in Colorado that theywould throw sparks for hours! When he made it back? both driver foot pegs were ground in half!! To a sharp point! He was isane! and bragged about that bike all the time! I said" Ya! You were lucky you never hit a big leaf in the middle of a turn!! I drove a GS at the time...and he could outrun me at Deals Gap on that old Valkyrie!! He finally overshot an exit ramp here at home... by about a foot...and as soon as the tires left the pavement? He high sisded and the bike did end over end flips for 120 feet. It was late a nite and he was probably doing a 100mph or better! Nothing ..bags... mirrors etc remained on the bike! Yet it fired right up the next day! He broke his leg and was beat all to hell
Thanks for watching. I too am a huge fan of the adv class for the exact reason you mentioned. I rode the deals gap and dragons tail, cherohala skyway, etc on my KLR. Excellent point you raise. Shame to hear your son broke a leg, but it's true, it does happen to the bes tog us to run off the road. I find the gs 1200 too heavy for what it is marketed to do, bit it can certainly do it in the right hands or in a pinch. Please stay tuned for my review of the super tenere 1200. Thanks again . Nik
Totally agree with you if riding from Patagonia to Alaska, London to Beijing, or Sweden to South Africa. 1200 GS is the best adventure touring bike - no doubt! However GW is in a totally different category, it's a luxury tourer not meant for adventures. Speaking about BMW I liked my 08 1200LT as well, better seat riding position than on GW, plus I loved the powered center stand and powered windshield.
That's a healthy spread - we are on the same team then. I hope you found the review helpful and accurate. Where did you buy the leather jacket you were wearing at the end of the video, Gave up on my 1983 Gl1100 bought a 2003 (notice 20 years) GL1800. Ride on! Ride forever.
This is the Bilt Abbot in matte black (they make it in gloss black as well) but no longer in production. Bilt is a cycle gear brand and it's not the highest quality honestly although it has been one of my favorite jackets. Look on Ebay. What's your size?
Agree with this review. I was a road racer for 7 years (Privateer) so I feel somewhat qualified to make this comment: After owning 2 Road Kings & a Street Glide...I recently purchased a 2013 F6B. I really like it. The two things I like most are its handling (low center of gravity) and wind protection. Both these aspects are superior over the Harleys. Question: If you could only have 1 helmet - what would that be? (Love your Pegasus Tour biz!)
Well that is a huge compliment to receive from someone like you then. I have immense respect for racers such as yourself, who live their passion as privateers, which is something I'm trying to do with my own endeavor. Thank you very much for watching my review and for taking the time to comment. I recently raffled off the cleanest 5th generation with only 1600 miles to one of my viewers. Just two weeks ago. And interestingly enough one of the most successful videos on this channel is the goldwing buyers guide. I also review the first generation goldwing if you're interested in the history of the bike. But the F6B has to be one of the most handsome motorcycles on the road. Where would I be able to see some of your racing? Thanks again for being here.
@@pegasusmotorcycletours And I have respect for you to be your own man and start and run a successful business. Next time my wife and I are out your way I will be sure to book a tour. That sounds like so much fun. All my road racing happened between 1990-1997, so all vids are VHS. One day I'll get them converted to digital. I have pics. I'll send one to your Pegasus website address in a shameless act of self-promotion! : ) GREAT story: So, understand that in a Regional race, after 3 years I could usually grab a trophy. Much of that was at NHIS. (New Hampshire). I did however, qualify for 2 professional races, but I was a back-marker. For your readers, that means I qualified but was lapped at least once, or even more in an endurance race. Example: Both qualifications were at Daytona (during bike week) and Mid-Ohio. In 2 of the many races at both tracks I crashed trying to keep up. Luckily, both were low-sides and we were able to get the bike buttoned up to not ruin the weekend. Get this. After the crash at Mid-Ohio, a professional comes into our pit. I'm thinking..."ok, I am about to get this tune-up I deserve for causing unsafe conditions." He then put his arm around me. He asks if I am ok. He then tells me that he admires my courage to be out here with professionals that get much more practice, factory support, the best bikes, mechanics, and equipment. Then he says, "I am proud of you". Let me tell you it was one of the best days of my life. That pro was Miguel Duhamel. At that time, he rode for a factory called Harley Davidson. Harley-Davidson selected Duhamel to race its VR1000 Superbike. He led parts of the Mid-Ohio (and Brainerd Superbike) finals, which were the only times the Harley VR1000 led an AMA Superbike race.
I was thinking, way you love your Honda, I wanted to tell you I got a phone call from Mr Honda. He took my 750cb an developed 100cc oversized piston system for all his Honda shops! Interesting story. I loved my Yamaha Venture Royale, but I'd have newer goldwing for only one bike (not automatic)
That's a wild story. Did that really happen? And I love the big Yamaha. Underrated and not often seen on the road. The new one is exceptionally good looking. Unique in styling. Thanks for watching and participating in the conversation. Nik

I had a 79 gl1000, it was an incredible machine. But I currently have an 07 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic. It by far is a more enjoyable motorcycle. But I would probably replace it with a newer goldwing if I couldn't get a new Harley.....
The Harley's definitely have a lot of character. I found mine Electra Glide too tiring for business purposes, and it always needed something however it was a 1996. For the money one really gets a lot of bike with the Gold Wing that's going to be fairly trouble-free. That's the main appeal aside from it being quieter and easier to ride long distances. I also found the Harly very hot, but they did are gorgeous machines. I do this profesionaly.every day so I have to think of the long term in terms of my riding career and which bike will help me roide into my 90s.
I have a 2006 gl1800 for trans european rides and summer holidays plus a yamaha wildstar 1600 2003 for trips out for a cup of coffee on hot summer days, life is great and at 71 i never need another bike 😊
I love that. Great to hear. I also reviewed the Yamaha stratoliner as well as the warrior. Fantastic bikes. Thanks for watching and sharing. Ride on friend!

You and I have the same taste it seems - what an amazingly beautiful and unique motorcycle. There is a local rider who has one and dresses like batman - he plays the music on takeoff, and drags his feet to create sparks - I wish I interviewed him but hopefully our paths cross again. That motorcycle has to be one of the most beautiful and unique bikes on the market. I'd pull a trigger if I encountered one honestly, I think their value will just go up.

Main reason is that the 1800 engine is considered bullet proof, honda set the limit around 6,000-6500 rpm. In reality it is closer to 8,000rpm, so this boxer engine is just purring no stress what so ever. Honda knows how to build motors.
Congratulations bruce. What color? 2 weeks ago I raffled out another 5th generation goldwing to my viewers in stream silver. That one only had 1600 miles on the clock. Safe travels and keep in touch, I'm curious to hear your impressions.
Red, it's got 58k on it. Kept my Harley but the wing will be my primary ride. I had a 1500 years ago. Been riding Harleys for year and wanted to go back to a wing. Great video!
Yes, I've had a few issues. I have the 1 in 1 million Wing that had a module go out that tells the bike to start when you press the start button. Got that fixed, 475 bucks later. The turn signal switch broke as well as the cruise control switch. You can't purchase just the switch, you have to buy the entire housing so they are 500 a piece new, and I will be taking care of that this winter. Overall, its still the best bike I've ever owned and I've had several motorcycles over the last 345 years of riding. Very happy with the bike and the performance. I will be investing in the full monte next year.@@seatime674

The last person that is riding with me will be my mother in law. That was very funny the why you said it and after that there is just silence. Good information. Thanks.
Glad you found it entertaining and informative - and glad to have you here. My mother in law is great, truth be told, but bikes are not her thing, although I've taken her on this bike prior to the sidecar install. She liked it actually but prefers the comfortable type of travel. Stay safe and thanks for being here! Nik

Thanks for a great video. Love the Gold Wing. Such an iconic bike and so much bang for the buck second hand. I tend to hold on to bikes and ride them till I’ve rung every last drop of experience from them. My bike history includes learning on a TS185 dirt bike, graduating to a two stroke RZ250 race rep. Then the do it all sports tourer you could race the VFR750. A big break then back to biking on a Triumph Scrambler 900 as a weekend machine and a change last summer to my current ride a Ducati Multistrada 1200. I recently rode the Ducati from London, England through France and Andorra down to Spain to ride the Pyrenees mountain range. A wonderful 2200 mile round trip. Always looking for that next iconic machine. I’m sure a Gold Wing is in my future.
Thanks for the chime and I am very glad the video was helpful for you. That is quite the collection of bikes - the VFR800 is one of my personal favorites - I have owned two of them with the luggage ad all and would own it again in a heartbeat. The Gold Wing is on a whole different level. I've done the Pyrenees my self and the Gold Wing is a perfect touring bike for around Europe. Let me know if I can be of any help, ride safe, and be well in the meantime!

okay after watching the full video I really liked it but many poeple these days click to a next video when the intro song is 'too long' still a great video!

I noticed later model years, like the 2007 on have switches that are under the mirrors on both sides that slide laterally to open ducts toward the bottom of the bike. None of my wings had these air intakes. I thought the ducts scoop warm air which would be more useful for cold weather riding than if it provided ambient air in warm days.
@@pegasusmotorcycletours those switches you're talking about are on the comfort models and open air ducts at the bottom to take warm air from the head pipes of the exhaust system and blow it on your feet. I learned from experience that below 40° they're ineffective.
Minis 40 is a balsy time to ride a bike. I've lived two Michigan winters in a motor home, riding all year so lomg as there was no ice or snow, so I know what -33 feels like. But not -40

I agree. I have 4 in the garage ATM. Including a 6k original miles sunburst orange one that I will be offering to the viewers on this channel next week for the highest offer basically. I already did that wirh a 1600 mile stream silver. That's one way to share the benefits of the rich southern California market. If you haven't already if other you to check out my review of the first gen goldwing, so you can get the fascinating history. Thanks for watching. Nik
I'm really digging the New Harley Adventure Bike. I just can't decide one one bike. I've got the Wing, Honda St1100 and a Harley Vrod. I may be selling 2 to get the Harley Pan America .. I doubt the Wing gets sold!!
Quite the array in the garage - I like it. I also had the Nightrod and it's been one of y favorite Harleys - I speak about it in my review of the Yamaha Warrior part 1. The Pan America looks great in my opinion minus the unattractive looking engine, but it seems quite large and heavy for any serious ADV touring - depending on what you are looking for, but I prefer lighter more dirt capable motorcycles for my adv touring. But the PanAm definitely is appealing and I will own one in the near future. And we agree about the GW -that one stays - I actually just picked up a 1976 first year fully dressed GW and it's still an amazing bike. Cheers - Nik
PS - I did a part two of this review talking about what to watch out for when buying a 5th gen GW so I hope you check it out and let me know if I missed anything.

I loved the review, and the mother in law joke 😉. I'm in the market for one as we speak, just not sure what to buy. A used older looking goldwing, or the more recent one in bagger or tour version. Coming from sportsbikes and being almost 40, i have owned a bmw rt, so it's time to buy the best GT Touring sports in the market. Regards from belgium!
Thats true however doesnt need to bedonetoo often. About as often as tighten8ng the head bearing nut. Which to be sure is also a complex job on the wing.
CONGRATS! How exciting - you will love it - how are the first impressions? I hope you had the chance to see my part two of the GW review where I talk about what to look out for when buying these. Greetings Kenneth and thanks for being here and for participating I the conversation. My 2003 does not lock the trunk when closed unless I lock it, that must be a select-able option. My 2002 would not lock the trunk automatically either...
So you did not have a FOB? The Fob locks them with a push of a button (and they lock automatically after a few seconds, but it's not a good option in all honesty since one can lock the keys inside (speaking form experience). So if that is the case, you aren't missing anything. Glad to hear you too are a connoisseur of the Wing. Best bike on the road, ever. @@pegasusmotorcycletours Yes I have the fob but the trunk and bags don't lock automatically, I think there is a way to make it not lock automatically but i don't remember how do it. My Honda fob unlocks and locks the trunk only when i push the button, never by itself...

Great vid, thanks. Getting close myself on pulling the trigger on a used Wing. Rented an 1800 for a long weekend, and now nothing else is good enough, especially with the missus on board. However, my question is this: which model, which year? My buget is limited, so it will either have to be a high milage 1800, or a low milage 1500 (yes they exist, believe it or not). I know pretty much the very big differences between the 1500 and 1800, but within each of those, I can't seem to find much info on which year's update makes a big difference, eg "... Make sure you get from 06 on, because they improved the blah blah..." or something like that. It sounded like you did a fair bit of homework before buying yours, do you have any insights which years are the desirable ones?
Greetings and welcome to our channel community. Thank you for your question and for the compliments - glad you found it valuable. Here is what I would say - since your experience is informed from a ride on the 1800, than you are bound find the 1500 underpowered. I also find the look of the 1500 outdated and too angular, since the 1800 style stayed largely the same (front and side from 2001-2018!!! - that keeps the resave value higher, but like me, you could own an older Gold Wing that still looks relatively newer. The main differentiation from the 2001-2013, and 2014-2018 models is mainly visible from the rear. Otherwise look very much alike despite one a decade of age difference. My personal philosophy is to always opt for the strongest engine, because it it is readily available, I find I will always gravitate in the direction of more power , especially for a bike like the Gold Wing, and if one plans to tour with a passenger. And lastly, and most importantly - the 1500 has carbs while the 1800 is electronically fuel injected - I personally abhor carb work especially if I would have to do it on a bike like the Gold Wing where it would cost me a day just to get to them, and also cause there are 6 of them to clean - very tedious (and expensive) labor. I say observe the market and snatch an 1800 - the market is very buyer friendly right now and gold wings are common. (PS - one of the services of our company is assistance with motorcycle purchasing - research, advice, going out with the client to see bikes, etc. - all for a ten percent of the sales price. I've read on Goldwing years to avoid and 2003 was one of them regardin aluminum frames. Is this valid or any truth to this? And second, is the '03 pretty much the same model/features as the 2005 30 yr anniversary addition?? I'm not a goldwing owner yet and Love the 2012-2017 appearance, however really dig the models between years 2002-2011 and those are definitely with a more forgiving price tag that's along my ability to afford. Any advise??
Hi there and welcome to the channel. This is absolutely a valid problem to consider - it is actually a lifelong recall for Honda so this is something you should check. But it only affects a certain number of motorcycles in 2002 and 2003, not all of them. If the bike you are looking at is in that affected VIN range, you can have the frame repaired, or replaced for free from Honda, as part of this mandatory recall. I own two at the moment - a 2003 an 2002 and neither of the two were included in that recall so I lucked out. I would highly recommend this motorcycle, and yes, it is much friendlier on the wallet. In fact this 5th generation was made entirely in the US, in Ohio until 2010. Then production shifted to Japan (so there are no 2011 model technically). The rear end was modernized and made more angular - I like it honestly but otherwise the bike was the same. In 2006 an Airbag was also optional. And both my bikes have reverse gears. These buttons can stick though which is another common problem - Actually, you will be pleased to hear that my next video is talking precisely about most common problems of the Gold Wing, and what to watch out for when purchasing a used gold wing. I talk about all these points in great detail and you should definitely tune in for that review since you ar ei the market for one (please consider subscribing to be informed when that review drops in a week or two). Thanks again and good luck hunting. Nik

I don’t mind letting folks know what I paid for mine. I picked up a mint 08 NAV/Audio/Comfort model with 26k miles for $10k cash, one year ago this month. Mine also came with a $600 Garmin Zumo GPS, spare set of new tires, lots of other addons and the service manual. I feel like I got a pretty good deal. I have since put another 6k miles on the bike and have only done 2 oil changes. I also own a Harley Electra Glide but the Wing is the best bike I have ever owned.
Most motorcycle enthusiasts myself included find it impossible to just own 1 ! You need at least 4 minimum in my experience. You know horse's for courses 🤷🏾♂️
Very true. I clearly agree having ten at the moment. My last video outlines my current garage which is very diverse. I had to look up that saying. Thanks for watching. If you like this one i also review the first generation GW and have made a buyers guide for it. Cheers Nik

That's a gorgeous machine. My sidecar mechanic makes trikes of all sorts, mostly working on GW, and also makes them operable to handicapped riders. They are expensive to put together, but look and ride great.

Greetings and welcome to the channel. I appreciates you participating in the conversation. I'm not sure what comment in the video you are referring to. At about 2:25 you stated the first goldwing produced was a shaft drive 1500cc. The first gen Wing was a 100cc 4 cylinder shaft drive as the one shown in the pic. That’s all I was saying. Then it went to an 1100, a 1200, all of which were 4 cylinder up until the1500 which was the first 6 and now 1800. Then at 2:37 you stare it’s a “V6 boxer engine” which is false. A V6 and a boxer are two totally different engine designs. One is a V and one is horizontally opposed.
@@chrislovett87 Thanks so much for taking the time to point that out - let me clarify the first point - I am referring to the M1 prototype which was a 6 cylinder 1498cc engine that never went into mass production, that ultimately gave birth to the 1975 first GL1000 which was 4 cylinders. So perhaps not the clearest way that I presented that info, but the 1500cc is referring to the 1975 M1 prototype. As for your second point - absolutely correct and you are not the first to catch that - The V rolled off the tongue and I never caught it in editing. But definitely you are correct, two different engines, one flat one in the V" shape. I don't think there is a way for me to edit that part of the video now unfortunately but I REALLY APPRECIATE you taking the time to point these out.

We agree there. Thanks for watching. Ps, I'll be announcing a goldwing only for starting and ending in Las Vegas. Please stay tuned.

As you say in the video, it handles beautifully and is as sporting a bike as I have ever had...nothing missing there at all
The saddest part is that now that I have the perfect machine for me, my touring days are coming to an end due to increasing age. At 75, I am of the mindset that the day I sell my Wing is the first official day of old age. This 20 year old superb machine looks like and performs like the day it rolled off the assembly line as I am anal about maintenance. Old age will only necessitate changing the switches on both handlebars but they are literally an easy change out at about $125 a side ( you don't want to ever be in Upper Rubber Boot, Montana and find yourself stuck in reverse.......)
The Wing is the ultimate machine.
All the best, and as my lifelong touring partner said to me just before he died of brain cancer..." keep the rubber down" (he follows me now as a guardian angel just over my shoulder...:))

pretty accurate.

06 “ Gold “ gold wing, 8 years running now , gave up my 84 aspencade Ya said it all in one statement. If your not smiling EVERY time you get off , then DON’T get back on ! Thanks.
That's exactly how I feel everyday riding my newest one in Pearl Orange. What a beauty.

Cheers!

I’d choose Africa twin as my one bike.

My 03 seems to like 80 for the highway and does it with little effort...Lot of passing power even at 80.
i have cruised my 02 for SEVERAL minutes between reno and vegas at 135. only problem the cruise control wont go over 100 so i have to crank the throttle
Nik
Ps. That is one heck of a collection you have there. Very impressed especially with the last one. I absolutely love power Cruisers and have to at the moment, including completely custom 114 cubic inch twin Chopper. It's Saturday I will release a new video which will include a brief overview of my nine motorcycles of all types. Hope you find my collection interesting as well, and I hope to hear from you in future videos. In the meantime enjoy your Goldwing. Cheers

My '01 Goldwing is coming up on 134,000 miles. Probably the last bike I'll ever own. With regular maintenance, it runs as good as when I bought it.
Glad you agree. There will always be. Gl in my garage.
showed a lot of interesting features i havent seen on other reviews. most of the others just hop on and ride. nice to see someone taking the time to show and not just talk about how stuff operates on this bike. given how fast these bikes lose value i would never purchase one new. used and well cared for is the best way to shop. ps, i hate that yellow color but to each their own.
You and I seem to be the same generation so if you recall. Nissan 300zx twin turbo in a very rare stock yellow... It stuck with me since 2007 when I first saw it in Europe. Do you have problems with your '02 overheating or does your needle stay at the middle and under?
I have a 2012 Goldwing and I have ridden a 2020. When I don't like about them is that the motors don't rev like a normal motorcycle. I compared the motor to the V8 in my truck. It has a lot of torque but not much rev. My previous touring bike was a Kawasaki Voyager 1200. That motor seemed a lot more interesting to me.
That's very valid. It is a very low revving motor which makes it last longer. It's less stress on the bike but one for sacrifice the torque.
I love the humour at the end. Riding a Goldwing is definitely on my bucket list
Just putting it out there. Cheers,
Nik

I have the same one in yellow . Mine is 2005. It’s the most beautiful of all GW.
Agreed. And ive had the sunburst orange as well. But the yellow takes the cake.
I have a 03 Honda Goldwing now this is all new for me coming from riding a Kawasaki Versy 650 for years so hopefully the Goldwing is truly the king of the road .
It will be a night and day difference, but you will be absolutely happy for the change. Tons of smooth, predictable power with legendary reliability (I still have a 1979 GW) and a whole new group of dedicated and passionate fellow GW owners to welcome you to the club. I am glad you found the video useful - please do check out the part two - GW buyers guide. Also please consider supporting my channel bu subscribing - I'd be curious to hear your impressions after you get to know the bike. Safe travels

As a former Road Racer and new owner of a '13 F6B I approve this message. : )
Thanks for watching and sharing
Hopefully the ABS can be switched off by pulling a fuse? Many of us old timers (and possibly a few youngers too) simply LOATHE ABS!

I have a 2006, along with a 1982, 1976...love my wings..

I've always loved Goldwings, and have a 2003 right now, but sometimes my hips cramp up because it is so wide on the foot placement.

GREAT story: So, understand that in a Regional race, after 3 years I could usually grab a trophy.
Nik
I miss the stereo on my bike. I once had an XS11 with a Windjammer fairing and a Cycle Sound stereo. It was awesome. My next bike will be a GoldWing.

The bike to have is the Goldwing love it.

I have a 2010 Honda Goldwing GL 1800 Pearl Yellow. Looking for replacement engine assembly. Original engine assembly that forth gear locked up.
That's not to common. I wonder why. What's the mileage?
Awesome beautiful review, absolutely love my 2002 illusion blue, best motorcycle ever made in my opinion, all the very best.
Thank you for watching. And for taking the time to comment. I'm glad you found the video helpful and the videography pleasing. I love The illusion blue as well, and have been the owner of it myself. Gorgeous color. I see that you've also watched the buyers guide with it in it. By the way the bike I would love to own is the Honda Valkyrie Rune but won't due to future shortage of parts since it was only produced in 04 and 05.

Thanks for sharing. I have a 7 thousand miles sunburst orange that is absolutely stunning in the Sun. I love these bikes so much.
Just bought a 2007 GL1800. Excited to get it out.
@@navcop33How is your '07 doing so far any issues worth noting?
Yes, I've had a few issues. I have the 1 in 1 million Wing that had a module go out that tells the bike to start when you press the start button. Got that fixed, 475 bucks later. The turn signal switch broke as well as the cruise control switch. You can't purchase just the switch, you have to buy the entire housing so they are 500 a piece new, and I will be taking care of that this winter. Overall, its still the best bike I've ever owned and I've had several motorcycles over the last 345 years of riding. Very happy with the bike and the performance. I will be investing in the full monte next year.@@seatime674

None of the vents draw warm air from the engine bay. They are connected to plastic ducts that lead to the front of the fairing.

Glad you found it helpful and happy hunting.
How about changing the air filter. A 2 hour job.
Thats true however doesnt need to bedonetoo often. About as often as tighten8ng the head bearing nut. Which to be sure is also a complex job on the wing.
The longest one engine run is with an Argentinian rider Emilio Scotto 457000 miles
I remember reading his book in high-school during lunch hour, I think he might have inspired me to go the same route.

great video.....the lane splitting isn't really too safe or smart
Greetings Kenneth and thanks for being here and for participating I the conversation. Actually - that's an extremely common misconception about lane splitting when in fact it provides numerous benefits - I made two videos about how great it is, and why it ought to be the law of the land - I hope you take a look cause I think you'll find it eye opening (it's actually much, much safer, saves a TON of money, time, etc etc etc - many unexpected benefits of lane splitting make it a fantastic law and one of the main reasons I moved to California where it is legal.
The color matched dash is sick
Thanks. It's not hard to do it - the dash literally pulls off just be sure to watch a video to see where exactly to put pressure. Paint store can sell you that exact color (take off and bring them the gas cover for them to scan by laser, or find the paint code on the sticker). Good luck and have fun with it, its hard to screw up (too bad).

If that is something I can help you with, please let me know. www.PegasusMotorcycleTours.com - GOOD LUCK!

The first Wing was a 1000 cc 4 cylinder not a 1500 6 cylinder
Greetings and welcome to the channel. I appreciates you participating in the conversation. I'm not sure what comment in the video you are referring to. I have had two first-generation Goldwings and had recently finished a review of them as well. If you care to know what they are like, please take a look here. Amazing motorcycles in their day, and not too bad even in modern times. Thanks for being here until the next one. Cheers, Nick. th-cam.com/video/TtGTLTHaXMo/w-d-xo.html
Greetings again. I hope this message finds you well. In about 30 minutes I will premier my newest GL1800 ABS with only 1600 miles, in hopes that the next owner will be one of the my subscribers and patrons. The rich southern California market has blessed me with probably the cleanest 5th gen on the market today, and I'd really love to have this mint condition low mileage gold wing go to one of one of my channel's supporters, so if you are in the market, please tune in. Cheers! Nik

Interesting that you have two. Different years? It's definitely an amazing bike. Now my golding has a sidecar to it so it's strictly a business mule. Thank you for the support.

Being 6,5 tall for me probably it would be gsa1200/1250 . It's not perfect but good bike for tall riders
Yes. A great all around bike to havein the garage. I dontthink you'll be cramped on the wing though.
Good video...thanks!

I definitely want one
I have the lowest mileage pearl orange one for sale in the US right now. 7.5k miles, mint. Check out my playlist to see it, and if you like it, feel free to make an offer.
Goldwing under 2001 is the best. Because the big size. Gold wing 2023 is more slim and ruins Gold wing original Chracter.
Interesting. I know they are lighter but I didn't know they were physically smaller. Please be sure to subscribe so you can get notified next week when I release a trailer of my newest tour, a week-long loop from Las Vegas on Strictly gold
