I think dragon song if given the treatment that the other lunar titles were given, could be an amazing game. Particularly if it had anime scenes akin to the previous remakes. Also if they could make some changes to combat to remove the inability to pick individual targets and the requirement to blow into the mic to escape. Also the weird way you lose health to run was bad too. Essentially the systems would need a major overhaul but there is a skeleton of something decent beneath all the crap

I’m not a big JRPG fan, but yikes Lunar DS sounds AWFUL! TMNT Arcade Attack…yeah I agree it’s so dull and could’ve been great. Many games here are definitely games to avoid! Excellent episode as always man!
Card Fighters DS was such a slap in the face. Not only was the game bugged. It was also absolutely briandead easy, that there wasn't any point in even completing the game to begin with. Rare cards? They generally have high costs. It's generally better to just swarm your opponent with tons of low cost characters, and just brute force your way through the game......And this tactic works for the ENTIRE game.
I think duke is best left as he was. A new set of levels for 3d could be good but he was such a product of his time that he just doesn't work in a modern context.
He may have been correct about these, but the nds wasn't really a wonderfully graphical system. And some people if they don't have anything to complain about then they aren't happy.
Of course Lunar Dragon Song is here, that game is a game to ever exist. Whoever designed it had absolutely no idea how to make an RPG, let alone a good game.

Honestly, Dash isn't that terrible. It's far more playable than the first Pokémon Ranger. That one just... isn't fun at all. The consecutive loop mechanic veers into artificial difficulty. I mean the devs had to completely change it for the sequels by giving Pokémon health bars instead.

have you ever played the Astroboy Gameboy advance game? leagues better and based on the early 2000s anime reboot. also it has my home boy atlas and some pretty decent boss fights. the DS had wonky games for sure but some games such as the fossil fighters and dragon quest monsters joker series during the era are gems.
Yeah, Pokémon Dash was complete trash.
Thanks for the list of games that I won’t gonna install on my DSi 😂
6:54 This one is so bad that's good.
14:04 If you want to buy this game, avoid the original American release.
Not sure why Thundercats is on here! It's a fun little game but certainly could have been expanded on!
8:04 You mean the Houndoom? :)
I'm trying to remember the one game I played were you are defending earth from alien bombs and yet I am getting mad not remembering its name
Mezase! Koushien is a terrible baseball game!
Various glitches, questionable gameplay, bad graphics...
I think that's the angriest i've ever heard you when you were talking about that turd Lunar Dragon Song.
Bigfoot hits the barrels and ... they just explode? No effect on the game? What's the point?
Literally no reason for the game to exist.
More ds and 3ds stuff...i love it mate...well done
I’m not a big JRPG fan, but yikes Lunar DS sounds AWFUL! TMNT Arcade Attack…yeah I agree it’s so dull and could’ve been great. Many games here are definitely games to avoid! Excellent episode as always man!
It’s beyond awful mate. A real abomination 😅
Friggin Super Man had to lay his horrible curse on the DS too?
the SNK v Capcom card game was great
I was hoping NFS Most Wanted or Burnout Legends would be in there
Card Fighters DS was such a slap in the face.
I think The Lunar Dragon Song looks interesting~ the difficulty is pretty nice~
Oh god, you can't even see your shots in that Duke Nukem game.
It’s beyond terrible man 😅
after hearing your description of Lunar got me thinking the developers were ahead of their time 😂😂
Even Duke Nukem Forever also released in 2011 looked and played better than Critical Mass. (1:57)
He may have been correct about these, but the nds wasn't really a wonderfully graphical system. And some people if they don't have anything to complain about then they aren't happy.
There is plenty of examples where the DS hardware was utilised correctly, that resulted in some pretty graphically impressive games on the system.
@@thatvideogamesshow i do enjoy watching your videos whether it's about you complaining or not. Thank you for making the videos you do.
Very interesting idea for a review! Too bad some games have decent visuals for the DS.
What I hate about Arcade Attack is how bad the controls are
Yeah Thundercats made me sad it could have be so good.....wish it was wayforward
That's basically Superman64 again, but for DS
It always feels cheap to put Superman games on bad game lists, it's pretty much impossible to make a good Superman game.
Haven't really seen you do that many "negative" videos. Kind of interesting.
I'm a simple gal. I see Athena on a "Something terrible" titled video, I click xD
I quite liked Pokemon Dash at the time but I probably wouldn't revisit it.
Of course Lunar Dragon Song is here, that game is a game to ever exist. Whoever designed it had absolutely no idea how to make an RPG, let alone a good game.
Need for speed most wanted on the DS is truly abysmal. Play it for 10 seconds, and you'll see how truly bad the handling is.
Did my Patronage not come through this month for the shoutout?
What’s your username on Patreon man?
Cheers man, updated the list now so it’ll be included going forward.
Well, we all know which game on this list you hate most! I feel you. I've been 'betrayed' by series I trusted before, too.
Omg i played some of these game😭 another great video!
Haha I feel your pain man. Thanks for watching!
That intro music is just sublime.. 🥰 #Tekken
Personally, I kinda like DS Thundercats visuals (NPC animations, at the very least). Shame it's bad.
LDS suffers from major flaws all over the place. I once wrote a doc detailing those to a friend and it wasn't that short. Somehow LDS endeared itself to me. It's such a trainwreck, lmao. Still the only game of the Lunar franchise I've played.
Have you covered Orcs and Elves? It isn't a terrible game though, its a gem.
Thanks for the heads up now I know what games not to buy
Who's the Character on the Thumbnail?
I clicked this to specifically make sure Lunar Dragon Song was on the list. I honestly don't think a worse RPG exists.
@nhatanhhoang3131 Tales of the Tempest is a thousand times better than Lunar Dragon Song. It's not great, but nowhere to close to as shit.
@nhatanhhoang3131 Guess I don't know that one, if it's that bad then, maybe it's for the best lol.
@nhatanhhoang3131 Doesn't seem to exist there, smart ass.
@nhatanhhoang3131 Ah, I see, it was a typo. Yeah, it looks pretty fucking shit lol
@nhatanhhoang3131 I don't think it's a case of worse or better, I think it's a case of they're all garbage.
Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers is an absolute pile. Definitely a sour note for the GG series and a subpar outing for a DS fighter.
