Can confirm. Worked for an airliner and our moto was "f it" this was 2013ish and if we saw a fragile sticker it wouldn't matter. We had to be fast and gogogogo

Any idea what those sealed games would have sold for had they not been graded? Just curious if the $80-100+ grading price tag is really worth it for three figure games.
Not sure about VGA, but Ive spoken to Wata grader on the phone, he stated they will always try to remove stickers, (with cleaning)but won't if they feel it will it could damage seal)

VGA has a horrible website been trying to figure out how to send in games for weeks now. Keeps saying I need to update my flash player before I can make a submission. 😭
I can only say that I chose to have a few of my games graded by wata just for the fact that I didn’t want my sealed games to take any damage over time and the wata packaging as well as the grading make for a nice display. I don’t plan in having much graded , I’m still waiting for my 2 games to come back from wata. I might not ever sell the graded games but I still wanted to experience the process. I have had limited emails with them, response time has been slow but I think they have been busy to be Fair. I do plan on posting my own unboxing of my wata graded games when I receive them. Thanks for the great idea. I heard about vga’s old school and rougher grading scale. I think it’s fair overall
What if they want the games people send and they order a beat up disc or cartridge and switch them out and then seal it and send it back while charging you more money then what the game is actually worth. From what i just seen and heard of the scam they were doing, i would immediately open up my games and make sure they didn't switch em out.
Grading artificially raises prices on everything. Say a game is worth 100 sealed and then someone sells a graded version of that game for 1000, then other people will think that game has high value and someone else will list their sealed ungraded copy for 500 to see if anybody will buy it. Now a newbie will see the 500 dollar ungraded sealed game and think its a good deal and buy it based on the 1000 dollar graded copy selling on ebay basically artificially raising the prices.
I hate this trend in gaming, grading and keeping games sealed just doesn’t make any sense to me as a gamer, I can maybe understand if all you do is sell games to make money but I dislike it in general, I would never want to keep a game sealed in a box I’ll never open and would never send a game to a company who are basically running the whole “graded/sealed game industry”, and the people buying the games going for ridiculous prices are shady ass speculators
They probably grade how well the shrink wrap was applied, just a guess as to why the grades differ. The older games were shrink wrapped a lot better, newer stuff like ps4 the shrink wrap is so loose and wrinkled on almost everything.
Me as well. Being a card collector, it's hard to fathom that you would grade and hold value of something that was meant to be stuck in an entertainment system. A, toy is understandable. You need the box if you want to resell. Video games to grade that no one can play is crazy

Too bad the Chrono Trigger DS games aren't the original printings with the posters. I bought one at launch and kept it factory sealed. I don't think I'll ever get my games graded though.

While I have zero respect for WATA as they tend to up-grade everything sent to them and are very arbitrary in their grading; VGA has been around a long time and has established guidelines. The same games have been sent to WATA multiple times and come back with multiple very different grades. That same thing did not happen with VGA.
Do you think it would be smart to get new switch games graded now to sell in like 10-15 years? It'd be easy to get a near 10 or a 100 on a brand new switch game but would the value be there down the road?
I dont think so at all. Due to the fact that the Switch has sold 100M+ units which means there's ten of millions of copies of games out there. It's a different story for the GameCube since it only sold 23ish million units which means less games and the popularity is high right now

Anyone willing to pay for a graded fac sealed game would be a serious collector and the thought of opening it would only come up if the whole world were going to blow up the next day, and the person were extremely desperate to play the game. So only a Simple Jack would spend that amount of money just to bust the seal to play.

I used to think like you... until I found a valuable sealed game at a local store for pennies on the dollar. It's not graded yet. I might just sell it as is. I can get well over $500 for it online maybe close to a $1000, and I've already got an open copy of it in my collection. The game is Silent Hill 2 for the ps2. Since then I've bought quite a few fac sealed games with alot of promise. Yes... games are meant to be played, but an enterprising individual can make alot of money off the idiots in the world. Sadly I'm more into the collecting aspect and less into the selling part.

Congrats on your grades and sales. Graded games are hot now. I think it's the way to go if you know what you are doing. From a preservation standpoint it's great. And from a Sales standpoint it's even better. I collect graded Comics and if I ever needed money or came into a financial situation it's easier to sell a Book graded by a 3rd Party Company versus a raw copy.

I got one game graded from WATA and when they sent it back they said "please be sure to leave us a great review and in favor we bumped up the grade a little higher" that explains why so many people are praising WATA way of grading games. They been scamming and people knew it but never said anything.

Sometimes VGA/Wata will keep stickers on games if taking them off could damage the seal/game in some way.

85+ is about the same as a 9.6 wata so keep that in mind when you're selling
