Matt always seems so relaxed while shooting these great photos. That's one of the best things I take away from his videos. I'm always missing something like there's a tornado in my brain (posing, framing, lighting, what's in the background, spin CPL, DoF, etc...). Feels like the shoot is going a million mile per hour.
Trust me I feel like that inside a lot of times, I just do a good job of hiding it. It’s important not to ever act frazzled or panic because your client will feed off that.
i’ve been doing this by use two camera setups (two flash triggers). One camera set to dark ambient, other set close to actual ambient. I then dont have to mess with changing settings back and forth.
@@MattHernandez lately I’ve tried to avoid blowing out portions of the background (to get more detail in the sky) even in my action shots shooting a little under and adjusting later in post.

Thank you so much that’s a very nice compliment!
Great vid - Lots of info in a short amount of time - thanks...I'll have to watch multiple times to digest!
Awesome thanks for watching and the feedback!
Love it! Been using my ND filter more lately and really like how it makes me slow myself down a bit plus I love the look!
I agree the color cast give it a different look for sure!
Great video Matt! Thanks for making it easier to understand flash!
Glad you liked it!
Awesome video, Matt. Thank you. You certainly make it look easy 😊
Thanks for watching and the feedback! I have LOTS of practice. Trust me, it's never easy haha.
Great job, Matt!
Thanks!
Thanks for another great video - you've inspired me to get my ND filter out again 😊
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Hey they still have use for sure!
Video moves along at breakneck speed but this one is worth looping/pausing a few times to fully grasp the various settings.
Sorry if I went a little too fast! Hope you enjoyed it.
You’re a great teacher I’ve already learned so much from you
Happy to hear that! Thank you!

That’s great if you have the equipment to do it!
@@MattHernandez i would hope most people have a backup.
What nd filter do you use?
Polar Pro 6 stop. It’s the best one I’ve ever used.
Hey Matt, are you aware that the audio has been sped up on this video? Great video by the way thanks.
I don’t think it is, I was just talking fast that day for some reason 😂
This is great! I think I need a separate tutorial on how to use nd filters though. ☺️
I can do that!
@@MattHernandez would love that because I was on a struggle bus trying to expose properly. Greatly appreciate it!
I vote for the dark background.
It’s a tough call! Thanks for the input
