  • How to enjoy nature or being possibly ready for an emergency with just what you have in your pockets? it's possible, and I will shot it in this video.
    what we have in our pockets is way more important that all the gear we have in our expensive packs because 9 out of 10 those packs won't be with us and what we realistically carry daily will change everything.
    i also want to share with you how we can enjoy nature with less, we just need to adjust our comfort level.

    Very well made video! Nature is definitely a living breathing thing with its own voice which through out generations we have lost the ways to translate what it is saying to us, natives centuries ago had nothing but the land to survive and when you are able to make that connection you can thrive. But before all this can happen you must open yourself to your environment and that level respect and humility/ humbleness only mother nature can draw out.

    After watching multiple of your videos I have to say. Your Videography and Photos are TOP notch. I have seen a lot of storytelling content on this platform. But this is really great. There is not many creators in this space who give as much time to create piece of content for quality and story of said piece instead focus on quantity for sake of upload rate. And good on you for that man, its Awesome. Keep up the great work. And so its not only positive pats on a back :D only one thing that breaks it a little in some of videos music level over you talking is little too high I would say. But that might be just me using headset and high volume to listen.

    Plow point is the way to go in a situation where your not sure of the weather and other factors that can play in.
    The Adirondack style which gives you walls to block wind and trap heat and gives you a field of view also.

    If you set up a frame you could drape the drum liner over it and create a super shelter. With a fire it acts like a greenhouse.

    👍👍 Excellent video and presentation. Excellent teachings too. There were a lot of subtle lessons along the way. And seeing the plow point structure working with the small fire I could easily see the light smoke rolling around inside the shelter demonstrating the effect of it's efficiency. Working with Mother Nature....not against her.

    Stupendo Alex ... tralasciando il posto e le immagini che hai catturato ... è un video stupendo per quello che sei riuscito a trasmettermi, skills ed emozioni ... l'inquadratura del fuoco che poi diventa tutto sfumato e si spegne è stato come essere li ... il mio scelter preferito è il Low profile o Stealth, evoluzione dell'Envelop, oppure quello come il tuo il Plough Point, da una buona protezione anche ad il fuoco. it's not about how much we carry around with us, but how important or useful something is. I want to break with two things here, the leatherman and the cheap plan. both are not really worth anything when needed. I don't need to tell you how important a good knife is. if you are satisfied with a leatherman instead of a good, medium-sized knife, you cannot help, especially where the purchase price is similar. my principle, a knife with fire steel in the car, one on the man and one at home. the cheap plans do not work at all. emergency planning with military rain protection, which also functions as a man's shelter. also available in multiple versions at different places. A few words about the sleeping place - for me it is always important to keep your back protected, to choose the place so that it is very difficult to access from as many sides as possible. the level sleeping place was seldom extremely important for me. it takes me an average of 20 minutes to dig a flat sleeping pit with a suitable piece of wood (which I cut to size with a knife). the trough is lined with branches, depending on the circumstances, there is a corresponding softer material that nature provides. I even prefer a slightly sloping ground, as I dig the hollow and draw a moat around the stretched rain cover, i.e. use the excavation of the hollow as that. Furthermore, I can't get anything out of the colorful and transparent things, it is usually better to be seen less well, unless you want to be found :-)

    • @AlexWander
      @AlexWander  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, really appreciate it. This video was a "what if" kind of video plus i wanted to show that we can enjoy nature and be safe. Even with few random, cheap pieces of gear.
      I don't like shiny and colorful stuff, but it was just to give an idea of "emergency" 😊 last but not least i don't like Leatherman at all but carry a Multitool daily can be tolerated from the police where I live, but carrying a knife on your persona daily will give you a lot of trouble here 😊 that's why I went for something that I can realistically carry daily. I would love to have my Silky Saw and my Smilodon daily 😁

      @axt_messer_survival 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AlexWander in austria we are on the lucky side when it comes to carrying knives, even if i wear it invisibly on the belt, as long as it can be seen as a tool no problem. i already understood the meaning of the video, i just think it's better to show people how to prepare better so as not to look bad afterwards :-) our (my age groups born 1964 - ..) learned such things in the military, if we had no idea about it beforehand. I find it terrifying how awkward people have become in just a few decades.

    • @AlexWander
      @AlexWander  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I definetly agree with you on the "awkward thing" 😁 i personally prefer to learn how to accomplish the tasks i have to face with "what I have" in that precise moment (improvise, adapt, overcome principle) than doing it with a "perfect kit" I mean, if you have the perfect "emergency setup" and you can't face what's gonna happen, you're Dumb (not you I mean in general 😊) but if you can do it with an "imperfect kit" that means you are skilled AF. Did I explain my point you better? These are the kind of discussions that make me happy to share, thank you for that 🙏

      @@AlexWander i just saw that the website is online again. i would have liked to know a price for the drago and by when it will be available. I hope that the price on the collini website is not right, that would be a rough rip off. why do you actually work with this dubious website?

    • @AlexWander
      @AlexWander  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Collini is one of the most important knife shop ij the entire Europe and it is our Official Italian dealer. We made only 10 Dragos as a limited edition and it would costs around 900 euros he charged a. Little bit more because he only had available 2 pieces.
