Another great video! I’ve never seen someone use a large knife to catch/transfer embers, very good idea that could be even more useful in wet conditions!

interesting, have you changed the point on your knife, from series to convex point and why?
Point is original but all my knives are convexed, it's the only type of grind I use. Convex knives have a better edge retention because there's more meat the keeps the edge aligned and they cut better. Downside is you have to be very good in sharpening.
@@AlexWander you must know! I just sharpen my axes like that. i am more than satisfied with the sharpness of my smilodon. your D2 steel has a much better edge retention than about 1095 steel, some of which I have knives.
