That shot is filmed on the A6 2 miles south of Rushden at a village called Sharnbrook . The pub there has an annual car show which is impressive to say the least . I once saw 12 or more Lamborghini heading north from there as I was driving south . A petrol heads dream

I met the guy that owns that replica GT40. He owns a lot of very valuable cars and has a massive lockup where they’re kept.
Anyway, he has a few which were ex-racing cars which have never been washed. His words were “the dirt is the money - that’s what gives them their legacy”

Somethimg i grew up hearing
The sound of the older cars, consisted partly of carburettor intake sound. Sadly, with the injection of today, that is unheard these days. Until recently, motorbikes did still offer that sound, but alas
The 1936-1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic would've been the perfect Nr. 10 rare car on your list. There were only 4 units built, 3 of which exist to this day. One was sold in 2010 for 30 million US dollars, one is quite a few a million due to its new parts added after a complete restoration and the other, Ralph Lauren's one, is estimated at 40 million US dollars. Or the Shelby Daytona Coupe, only 6 built in the '64-'65 period.

R Michael 46:.. Look again closely, the '67 Stradale ripped off the April '63 GT40's rear 2/3ds and grafted it to a 2nd gen late '50's Porsche 718-Nov '63 LM type of front end.. nothing wrong with copying great ideas.. Ford was/is notorious for the same in many cases

That Alpha Romeo 33 Stradale is absolutely beautiful. 5.5 seconds is an amazing 0-60 time, especially for a car built in 69'.

That Alfa is a true beauty! Is it my imagination, or are the tail-lights of the Ferrari Spyder (the first car) from an MGB? They look awfully similar. (If you're only making single or double digit batches of vehicles, it makes a lot of sense to use minor parts made for mass-market machines.)
Notice how a lot of these are Ferrari's, it will be interesting to see if in 50 years the Ferrari's of today are going for tens of millions

Yeah they are too easy to get and not as much power as other super cars, cool ars but not really set apart from everyone else like they used to be, for these kinda of prices you usually need fame and extremely low production run, price also plays a factor but its not extremely important, just that the cheaper they sre the less exclusive they usually are, something like the Bugatti veyron or however you spell that is going to be a collectors piece and extremely expensive, its broken a crazy amount of records, is extremely famous, and is extremely exclusive added to that with its heavy maintenance costs so even someone who can afford the vehicle usually cant afford the upkeep, but that could also cause it to be unwanted and absolutely destroy its value as a classic
True but the older ones were also around the same time these cars were ever being built. It will be interesting on how sentimental value changes with these 2000 cars

The GT40's didn't just challenge Ferrari on the track, they sent Ferrari back to Italy with their tails between their legs by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans four consecutive times, from 1966 to 1969 (1966 being the Mk II, 1967 the Mk IV, and 1968-1969 the oldest chassis design, the Mk I), including a 1-2-3 finish in 1966.

And they sandbagged massively A Host, bad enough for the WEC to look into anti-Sandbagging rules for the first time..........and it was a Class win in GTE not an overall Win like in 1966.
But I guess Ford didn't want to spend the money for that or miss that lucrative marketing opportunity.
I guess they don't make 'em like Henry Ford II. anymore, willing to risk things.
I respect that man, he did show the Commendatore what for after the latter tried one of his many psychological games with him.
And while I do like Ferraris, anyone who decided to give the Commendatore, also known as "Il Drake" (the Dragon), a much needed lesson in humility gets a massive ammount of respect from me.

At the top price ya going to have to spend, is just the tip of the iceberg the maintenance cost to keep it running.
Much like the modern-day Mclarens,the dealers will charge at 200 dollars per hr. to change the oil.
This is art, it's like buying a Van Gogh painting. You'll have to call restorers from Europe every year to maintain the painting. And the price will ALWAYS go up. There will be no new Van Goghs, and no new 61 Ferraris 250 California.
The insurance alone would probably be more than I make.
It is insane to drive some of these beautiful monsters in regular traffic, like the Camaro did.
