At last! A nice fishing video with a veriety of fish an NO AWFUL MUSIC! Really gives me the memories of days idled away watching a float and not knowing whats going to come up from the depths. Even some nice John Wilson style laughing! Great stuff.
+matmc71 Cheers mate, not been doing very well of late, last 5 trips after Barbel and Pike have been a blank hence no new videos. I'm maybe trying too hard lol. Thanks for your comment.
I came across your videos by accident and boy was I glad!Excellent Chris! No nonsense approach to angling I particularly like theTench sessions and the "lift method" ,Brilliant mate as are the Barbel sessions.
Magnificent Chris, thanks for the inspiration, I often pass up a simpler approach on a few drains going the extra distance and extra complexity, may be time to change that approach/mindset as your bag is much fuller than mine at the end of the session
Excellent vid John. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it down here in Melbourne, Australia. I used to spend a lot of time back in the days early morning fishing for tench, rudd and bream. Brought back lots of happy memories. There's nothing quite like it. I just somehow now need to sneak a trip back to get my hand in again!
Oh Chris I do enjoy your vids, you remind me so much of myself, we are so similar. That was a terrific 6lb Bream, and nice few Tench. That spot on the drain has everything, good fish, birds singing, and all round sense of peace about it. Please keep the vids coming.
I have been looking for a fishing video on the Lift method for ages now. Great video, what I wanted to see was the actual bites when the float lifts slowly and lies on the surface so that I could see the timing of the strike. Your video of the many that I have seen, demonstrates the this perfectly. Too many other lift method video's don't show the most important thing ....... the lift bite itself. Thanks for sharing a great video. Tight Lines.
Loved this video mate, as people already mentioned great seeing the float, especially fished for lift bites. Live just down the road at Finningley, will definitely be getting the Scunny book this year, great stuff.
Hi Chris, had a look at your 3 vids and love them. It's the proper way to fish for them using a float on the lift method. Well done, I'll keep an eye out for more of your work..!! Cheers, Tom
Cheers Tom, not been on the bank for a while due to work gobbling up nearly every weekend, got a Tench session planned in mid May at Linear in Oxfordshire, thanks for your comment mate
Nice example well done chris. I wish there were good tench fishing in somerser. Canal is ok but that looks a proper gem of a spot. Plz post more vids!!!
I Like that you dont Talk that much as others Do. Super smoove. Excellent quality of the Video. The Bird Sounds Sound in my 5.1 as I would be there with you. Thanks for sharing!
This is great to watch and it's so exciting when you see the float rise up just heart stopping!! Can't beat it, I was wondering if you could show the set up of your hear as I'm quite intrigued and nice job, keep up the videos 👌🏻 cheers, Tazaboi
Worms are brilliant in spring along with red maggots, try half a lob tipped off with a red maggot, casters are also a great bait. Bread has also caught me a fair few Tincas, the real key to success is preparing your swim, try raking it the evening before and putting in a little prebait, get them feeding confidently. Then set your alarm clock with the aim of starting fishing at about 4 to 5am, once they are feeding with confidence you can catch them on wide variety of baits, sweetcorn is another classic. Not got any perch fishing vids planned as yet but not ruling it out cos I like em, there are some large Perch in some of the rivers I fish so come the autumn I may well give it a crack mate, thanks for your comment.
Yep, sounds like a next week plan on my favourite pond. By the way, I find brilliant that you've choosen not to add a silly music and let us hear birds, reel and nature. Let's let my feeders at home and take my wagglers for a little swim :)
It's a medium through action, soft top section so you can go down to size 18 hooks without tearing them out but it has plenty of power from middle to butt. I've landed carp to 15lbs on mine, the model is drennan series 7 tench and specimen float, comes in it's own ready rod bag, 13ft but breaks into two sections like a 12ft rod. The butt section unscrews and slots into a pocket inside the bag so you can keep it set up. Handles reel lines 4lbish to 7lb and hook links down to 2.5lb, best £100 I've spent, had it years. Also have the power carp version that is slightly more powerful and the silver fish one which is less, all three are fab mate. Get your debit card out lol.
Chris you epitamise everything fishing...early morning ,the birds singing as the world comes to life and a simple float set up. if dawn is the dog's testicles then how on earth can a fisherman explain the exdcitement of dusk when the bats start flying and the old fairty liquid top starts bouncing around.
THANK YOU! Finally someone who understands what I want to watch in the float fishing video - the float. Thank you.
If i had to describe my dream float fishing session, this would be the top of my list.
Great set of video's Chris.
Wonderful upload, thanks.
Puts me back right on the bank of my favourite Tench swim.
+isaac woodgrange Thankyou Isaac.
Very enjoyable viewing, great job.
I wish we had plentiful tench down here in the south west, I do adore catching them

Man I love how I can be actually watching the float in your video. It's almost like sitting on the bank. So cool!
Cheers mate, all the best

At last a plain simple float fishing video without to much talking thankyou
Fish on the lift using a pin are worth a 100 using the method feeder, nicely done proper Tench fishing.
Yes mate they are, tried all that bolt rig fishing, caught a few but I always end up wanting to watch a float.
You made me want to take my old Drennan Tench Float rod out of its bag. Cheers !
That sounds like a plan mate, thanks for your comment.

+Fisherman Chris ok haha thanks

It's a Drennan Tench Float.

I've never known a 6lb bream too fight like that!

You missed it because it felt the drop shot and got rid of the bait..such gentle finickey biters
