Nice video Chris. Nice to see someone that just gets enjoyment from his fishing without all the shouting and fist pumping you get on a lot of videos. Tight lines fella!
Thanks mate but if I ever catch a 30 pound pike you may see me do a few cartwheels down the bank and run around with my fishing suit pulled over my head.
Very enjoyable viewing mate; keep up the good work please! Easy to watch a quietly spoken angler in step with nature around him... Beautifully recorded and exciting content. Makes anyone want to get out on the bank. Thank you.
First location the sunrise shot is awesome mate. Well done on the big pike at the end! Tight lines. P.S you fish you've fished on one of my local stretches of the Swale but we won't mention where. :-D
Nice pike Chris,I see your paternostering in mid river,do you find this a more productive location ?as I've found that in the edge laying slightly over depth my most productive both on pits&rivers.also I've been using single 1/0 hooks on a trace and hooked and bound on with elastic thread for 2 seasons now.i wouldn't go back to 2 trebles any more.👍
On the venue I was fishing I have to say I've caught most of my biggest fish in the central channel where the deepest water is. I used to use three rods and cover near edge, far bank and one in the centre. I found it was nearly always the bait fished in the middle that picked up the big fish, so now I mainly fish a maximum of 2 rods usually in the centre, or one a third out and the other two thirds out. Having said this not all venues are the same, I have another water close by and if your bait is any further out than three feet from the reeds you don't get a run. Thanks for your comment mate and tight lines.
The one's in this video are martyn page marvic pike rods at the beginning and greys prowla at the end, the martyn page one is 2.75lb test curve and the greys are 3lb mate. Both are now discontinued but if you are after a dead bait rod check out the fox rage predator with a 2.75lb test. I've been using a pair this winter and for the money I'm very impressed with them.
Nice filming. But didn't like the way the first fish was returned!!! No revival time given!! Just slid off the mat straight in to the river!!!! Pike are a very highly strung fish & not that hardy!!! Nice fishing though fella...
Good work again Chris, it isn't easy making a video of yourself fishing. Hope to see some Barbel stuff again in the summer. )))
That's what early morning fishing is all about. Lovely camera work, Chris.
i guess it's quite randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to watch newly released movies online?
