You were only saying what we were all thinking. Anyone who says they are trying boxing, followed by exclaiming "kick, kick, punch," while simultaneously throwing two punches and a kick (in that order). . . I mean, they KINDA have it coming. Still, they tried. Which is kinda their thing 🤔

did they have any other choice though? they were on camera and knew that whatever they did would be uploaded to TH-cam for thousands, or millions of people to watch
of course youd push yourself to the absolute limit when youre pressured by having whatever you do be known to millions of people
besides that, they also had another pressure of needing to go longer to get more filmable moments that would make it to the final cut, if they gave up at the middle and cut the fight short, theyll have less moments to work with

I use to coach new guys at my old gym. The biggest flaw I saw in them is that they're too married to any one particular punch. They wanna get set up in one particular position, then throw whatever one punch they like. It's kinda like watching someone set up for a shot put.
Against most new guys (barring guys that have that natural killer instinct) you can literally just hunker down, absorb whatever punch they throw, and then just throw whatever you want. Granted, you would be a d-bag for doing that, but it shuts people down who aren't ready to handle more than one punch coming at them.

They are still new to boxing so you still have a lot of mistakes to point out (but far less than tryguys) but also a lot to give points to (some actual tactics, decent forms and the boxing itself). For few of the fights you could even watch some interviews (or videos of their own) they did after the matches explaining what went wrong or why they changes something that made them win/lose.

The girl I was seeing got into it with a girl at a party where like 90% of people attending trained one style or another.
I asked the other girl’s boyfriend to not escalate the conflict and maybe work with me to break it up… which he wasn’t into as a concept.
I’ve never seen or heard of another time where a couple who trains got into a fight with another couple who trains.
It lasted like 20 seconds before the rest of the party broke it up and absolutely nothing “cool” happened. Drunk morons at a party - even ones who train - never look cool in real fights.

i got my ass beat when i was sparring my friend who did boxing for like 1 year and me who did taekwondo for about 7 years, notice that we were in year 7 and you could just hear thudding and my head bouncing from side to side from being hit so hard and this was apparently 'light sparring'

To be honest, the try guys are not exactly what you would call the toughest guys out there…. Watch their videos on firearms, or testosterone testing. No one will pick them in a competition of “manliest men”….. i wouldn’t

My pet peeve are people thinking they can master boxing in three months. The human body does not work that way.
Any sport from boxing to golf to
MMA to karate to tennis takes years to master.
You think Terry Bradshaw, Tiger Woods, Micheal Jordan and Chuck Norris mastered their sports overnight?
No. They practiced hard for years.
