Heavy trigger return springs are life. I put them in all my USP/P30 series now. Adds a negligible amount of weight to the trigger pull, but gives that positive, bouncy reset that you're looking for, and makes the take-up in each pull more responsive. Lighter isn't always better
@@navyman8903 Stock hammer spring, heavy TRS and Enhanced FPBS is the way to go. Clean wall at sear engagement, but responsive and not draggy. I'm looking forward to adding a Grayguns kit whenever they're avail. again too.
Yes agreed....my favorite pistol of all time. Im not just saying that. I've a P30L and P30sk both V1 LEM'S. I also have a VP9 and VP9L. Im pulling the trigger on another P30L V1 with Night sights this weekend....
I installed the greyguns flat trigger in mine and WHAT A DIFFERENCE for me!! I have big hands and with the standard p30 trigger that starts vertical and breaks all the way at the rear, I just couldn't get a smooth pull without my finger moving on the face of the trigger and affecting my accuracy. The flat trigger starts more forward and breaks when its vertical. Huge improvement!! And makes transitioning to other guns easier.
Just installed the flat trigger on mine but haven’t made it to the range. Did you also move to a larger/smaller backstrap given the angle of the trigger?
@@jrodie7I didn't change the backstrap after installing the trigger. I'm not sure which backstrap I have on mine , it's either the smallest or the middle one. I chose the backstrap that puts my grip fingers where I want them around the front of the grip so I didn't want that to change. I had tried all the different configurations of grips when I was using the old trigger and settled on my current setup as what fits my hand the best . The new trigger with that setup is perfect for me.
I'm glad to hear you went back in and changed the sear pin. Looking forward to hearing more. Thank you for posting on this! I keep waiting for the v3 version from GG to be back in stock... Also interested to learn how you got the pin out of the sear/decocker.
IT was a horrible balancing act with my magpul AR wrench being used as a hammer with a punch. It came out with 3 swift and firm hits. I'll make sure to do a proper install video on another gun here soon. Once I can afford additional kits. I have a P30 V3 and possibly a P2k V3 planned.
Can you please do a video with the lem with GG trigger kit please? I like the LEM giving you that much push before the wall but I'm curious to see how much the GG kit shortens it😊
@@runningjalapeno4707 Yes, since that post I got the P30L, a HK45, a P2000 v3, P2000 v1 (now my daily carry) and this past Monday I picked up a brand new USP Expert 9mm. I was lucky to get smoking deals on the HK45 and P2000's as they were "used" but all were in excellent condition.
gotta run but I will be back to watch this one later tonight. very interested to hear how it turned out. I've been running my SIG's lately but itching to get back into my Hk's
Very cool. I agree with you, I love the p30 and when you shoot it a lot I really like the trigger. But if you shoot a lot of different guns you can notice it. The usp match trigger is great. If hk could make triggers like SIG the world would be perfect. And we definitely need to find time to get together.

Did you notice more overtravel on DA after installing the kit? When I installed the kit in mine I noticed the trigger sat back just a touch in single action mode, which decreased overtravel in SA, but it seemed like the DA broke sooner, creating a little bit more overtravel on just the DA.
I've been watching some of you vids . You have a nice HK collection . I have one question and I figure you would be the person to ask because you know HK's . I have a HK USP 40 S&W and its a real beauty of a beast . I was wondering do you think the HK P30L in 40 S&W is just as good or do you think its better , considering the HK USP was made for the 40 S&W ?
I installed most of the kit no problem on the p30l no safety variant but my question is do i have to install the firing pin block spring? Just seems like it reduces take up in the trigger and doesnt affect functionality.
Is this just one way they charge more for the hk45? I mean, hk could have made a better trigger in the p30. Seems like they were purposely sandbagging the p30.
That's an amazing choice. I'm eyeballing one and an OD green P2k. We'll see what happens. But the USP9c is a great little gun. Highly recommend Trijicon HD's for it also.
On the p30sk I did the initial install following your guide, with no issues, but now I'm going back to install the pin and I cannot locate where it goes... Please help!
I hope its not a dumb question . I installed the kit sear pin and all and the function of the safety before would not allow any movement of the hammer...since i installed the kit the safety is different now when i engage it there is hammer movement is that how ot works? PLEASE HELP...THANKS

Love my p30, do you have any experience with the m and p 2.0 compact. If so, your thoughts? Personally its very good out of the box. Especially after I put a apex in it.

Is it possible to get the P30S with the LEM? I'd want the P30 for an EDC. I like what people are saying about the LEM trigger. However, I want that safety on it! (I have two small girls.) I'll train my butt off to factor in the safety, but it has to be on it.
