    I know an extremely intelligent creator that has taught me and thousands of others that "perfection is overrated". If everything came out perfectt and the same every time they wouldn't be homemade pieces of art. With that said, I really respect how real and raw you are in your tutorials. It shows us that making mistakes is part of it, and it's ok. I could go on and on, but you already know how I feel. I still like to remind you sometimes.💞

    Hi Delonda! I used the Hippo brand waterslide decal and didn't have any problems getting my image to slide off the back. I didn't mirror my image and I put all of my decals in a large bowl of warm water. Most of the decals were sliding off the backing when I was ready to apply them. Great tutorial, thanks

    I do know if you put in the oven it will set the ink or paint. When I have done Painting on Glass and then baked in oven it set it so the paint does not run or come off. Thank you for this Tutorial - I tried 5 times with the Waterslide and gave up and decided it was a waste - I will go back and do it your way and see what I get. Thank you for your time I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful weekend Delonda!

    I enjoyed watching the tutorial. Definitely need to place warm water on your item when applying as well as in your tray. I use the the Hippoo waterslides both clear and white. On painted surfaces I use the clear. On glass I have used both clear and white depending on my choice of pictures. I also spray my waterslides with clear urethane spray 3 coats allowing 20- 30 minutes dry time between each coat. ( with each spray coat I spray 3 directions)
    On tumblers I like to mirror my picture so I can place the wrap face to the tumbler and then pull the carrier sheet off gently. Then using a silicone ‘brush’ to squeegee out excess water and any bubbles or wrinkles. I love doing those.😊

    Hi Delonda! First time viewer. I found your video while trying to figure out how to distress inkjet printed waterslide decals for a guitar build I'm doing. First I want to say you have the GREATEST smile on TH-cam! Thank you for brightening up my day!

    • @CraftingwithDelonda
      @CraftingwithDelonda  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are so welcome! I really wish I had an answer that would help you; but that is so far above my crafting level, lol. The only distress I know is when my Cricut won't cut accurately. Try doing a search on TH-cam for that exact question and see what comes up.

      Yeah, those cricut cutters can be agitating. I use one for glass and metal etch resists,... I'm more distressed over weeding, frankly, 😂
      I searched a bunch, but not finding what I'm looking for. (The usual on google and TH-cam) I think tech hates me, lol. I might be the ONLY person on EARTH who NEVER gets an accurate response from Google. I could ask for purple and it will show me green. 😂Thanks anyway for the quick response! I'll continue searching.

    It’s funny this is a recent video. I just used a water slide decal yesterday. It will is an interesting product and takes some time. I’m still learning. I got a couple wrinkles in mine but it’s just a product for me so it’s all good.

  • @TeenaCook-mk3fy
    @TeenaCook-mk3fy 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The trick to it is to have the water at exactly 78 degrees. I also sprayed it 3 times and let it dry as you recommended. If it is warmer the decal will stretch and tear. You don't have to reverse the decal. The temperature of the water is critical.

      @@CraftingwithDelonda I don’t think it was all that bad Delonda. I really believe the trick was in the brush smoothing it out with the brush, also making sure the water was a little warmer. I believe when using certain products warmer water and maybe letting the decals sat a little longer my thoughts. You really did a good job.
