So, sky did not use the best TV brand to make their package deal television - no shit! Sky glass is for people who don't care about PQ, otherwise they'd already have an OLED
@@GamezGuru1 if the tv is setup right it has a great picture it also depends on the source of the image just as the same as most tvs if you dig into the settings there are plenty of options for the picture it you want to dial it in how you like it which I what I have done, most 4k movies aren’t outputting 4k the whole of the movie only the important parts or when they want to make a part of the movie stand out this is a well know fact in how they make movies plus most movies will have a filter giving it a grain or what the director wants. See the below as not sure what you mean in oled? QD-OLED utilizes quantum dot technology, resulting in significantly improved color accuracy, wider color gamut, and higher peak brightness compared to standard OLED I do agree I like LG’s panels better but that’s just me
@ReviewBoxUK your comment about 4K movies not being 4K the whole time is just plain wrong. MAYBE on streaming although that's certainly not the choice of the director or movie production, but a limitation of streaming. If I watch a 4K Blu-ray, it is 4K the whole time, cos it's not compressed to shit like Sky's broadcast or on demand content. I know what QD-OLED is, and both are superior technologies to whatever Sky use in their TV, that was my point. No way, in any circumstance, can this TV be 'adjusted' to match the performance of a high end TV...
@ you know SKYGLASS is QD-OLED don’t you? Watching a blu-ray (old tech) will be upscaled to 4k go watch a documentary on how movies are made will open your eyes on how it’s done and really interesting
@@ReviewBoxUK wouldn’t surprise me if the Hisense rumours are true as they have made a tv for Skys owner - Comcast in the USA. I suspect Hisense will be cheaper for Sky to deal with and they will be able to bring in a micro led tv as similar cost to QLED from TP

@@ReviewBoxUK it uses a QLED panel, not QD-OLED! It's a crappy LCD made on a budget, for people who don't care about pq.
@ Here are some features of Sky Glass TVs:
Display: UHD Quantum Dot display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160

Rumour is that the new Sky glass is made by Hisense and is Micro LED
@@marcosgilson3578 be interesting to see bit micro led tvs are normal a cost a fair bit more than qd oled etc so not sure how that will go.

Hisense mini led is currently £699

Sky chose TP Vision to manufacture Sky Glass for price mate.
@@marcosgilson3578 lol that sounds about right for sky
