This recipe is really helpful I will try it out. You also gave reason for not using a mixer when Goldie in the flour does this apply to other flavours of cake or just the red velvet? Thank you for sharing
You can add preservatives if you wish to. I didn’t add preservatives to mine and it can only last 4 days outside the refrigerator. In the refrigerator it can last up to 3 weeks and 3 months in the freezer
My able Chef , thanks again. Please kindly share with me link to your butterbased vanilla cake... I followed some else's own and it didn't come out so well, cake was scattering
this can last for 4 days outside the fridge. in the fridge it can last for up to 2 weeks and 3 months in the freezer. i do not use preservatives and may not be able to recommend artificial options. you can however try lemon juice.
Hey I need this question answered asap since im making this cake for xmas day. I bought cake flour, Swans brand, is that ok to use or should I just used unbleached all purpose flour? Also if I have buttermilk, should I still add vinegar to it?
apologies. just saw your question. unbleached all purpose flour is best since youd have to add baking powder and soda. if using buttermilk, you dont need to add more vinegar because buttermilk substitute is milk + vinegar
@@TheChefAine o wow, thanks for the information cause in other recipes they add vinegar to the buttermilk and they still add baking soda and powder to the cake flour. I still made the cake and my family loved it but I’m going to try it the way you make it.
Can i choose to whisk my eggs when preparing a red velvet cake cuz i noticed almost all the videos on red velvet, they all don't whisk the eggs before adding inside. So is there any particular reason for that?

Yes you can. 10 tbsp full cream powdered milk + 1 cup of lukewarm water + 1 tbsp white vinegar
You don’t put hot water?
No, not in this particular recipe. I have others on my channel where I used hot water though 😊
Please can i add any vinegar apart from white vinegar

Please which type of milk did you use ma
I used UHT full cream milk
My able Chef , thanks again.
Please kindly share with me link to your butterbased vanilla cake...
I followed some else's own and it didn't come out so well, cake was scattering

Please how many days can this last
What type of preservate would you recommend ma
this can last for 4 days outside the fridge. in the fridge it can last for up to 2 weeks and 3 months in the freezer. i do not use preservatives and may not be able to recommend artificial options. you can however try lemon juice.

You can add oil to milk as well. I haven’t noticed any major difference in both outcomes 😊

Your video was very explanatory.
I have a question, would I still get the same result if I mix with hand
Thank you 😊 . Yes you can mix with hand but you’d have to mix for a long time to achieve same results
Wow this is beautiful, but why is coco needed in red velvet cake?
redvelvet cake is essentially a chocolate cake that schooled abroad lol.
When did you add the veg oil please
the veg oil is added into the butter and sugar and creamed together
Question can I use buttermilk
yes please. buttermilk is required
Aww this cake looks so delicious. Please can you cover this cake with fondant?
yes please. its firm enough for fondant cakes
@@TheChefAine thank you
Pls you didnt include vinegar? What qty? And also was it what you added initially to the cup of milk?
add a tsp at the end. the vinegar added to the milk was simply to make buttermilk. buttermilk substitute = 1 cup milk + 1 tbsp white vinegar
Can i choose to whisk my eggs when preparing a red velvet cake cuz i noticed almost all the videos on red velvet, they all don't whisk the eggs before adding inside. So is there any particular reason for that?
you dont need to but you totally can if you want to
U can whisk ok and it gives you a very and sweet fluffy.
Wow!! This is beautiful, Please can you share your recipes ??
Please ma i need the recipe
I mean the measurements please ma
its in the description please. kindly scroll
How did you get the buttermilk ma
Is it the normal milk?
And is the vinegar necessary?
Weldon ma 👍
I recommend UHT full cream milk and yes, vinegar is absolutely necessary or you could use lemon juice instead.
👍❤️
thank you
So salt is not necessary for this recipe.
i used margarine which is salted. if you use unsalted butter please add a tsp of salt.
thank you, I used Land O Lake Unsalted normally but I just noticed you didn't add salt I will work with it... thank you..
@@TheChefAine
