Wow! That octatrack perkons combo is out of this world! Awesome demo Connie!
Finally, after dozens of bad demos/videos, by people that have obviously hardly touched the Perkons, i get someone that can show/teach some potential magic of this instrument. Thanks for a great demo!
I dont need another drum machine. I dont need another drum machine. I dont need another drum machine.
What an incredible demo. TY.
LOLOLOLO..........................................................................go get it. No one will know.
DO it.
🎉😮 coole patch performance
You need this👆🏽
You read my mind! 😂
I just got mine last week and I haven't been able to put it down. It's incredibly playable, intuitive and most importantly fun to use!
Just got the ottobit, love it! Awesome colour co-ordinated combo you’ve got there 🤛
Engaging, textured, clear, and entirely enjoyable presentation! Love the OT combo at the end. 💙
Connie's intro was like she'd read my cheat-notes on why I was looking at the Perkons (and as an Octatrack companion piece too!). Big thanks for this! Really enjoyed Connie's presentation and creation
Is it limited by only four tracks to make sounds
Love the individual voice sends. Very cool demo, thanks!
Really enjoyed the performance at the end. Nice work. Perkons is definitely on the list. I have the Analog Rytm mk2 and it's great for a lot of things, but even thought I've had it for a few years, the Elektron workflow continues to feel alien to me, in some ways.
Thanks for the demo and jam Connie. Ive had mine for about a year now. Its an absolute blast to jam on and can be used in live performances all night, but def limited on the voices. There is just not enough variation on the different voice models. I wish Erica could do a firmware update with more voice models maybe accessible with a key hold + switch or something. The sounds it has are good quality...just not enough of em. The individual sends are what I think they thought would fit the bill for morphing up the voices and it is a great feature, but it would be nice to provide some additional voicing models with the flip of an onboard switch.
Fair cristicism, what are you pairing it with, and for what kind of creations?
The performance was awesome!!!
Gorgeous sound! The difference in size between the two instruments is quite striking😮
Beast of a machine. Excellent demo.
love the performance at the end, beautiful sounds
Loved that performance. Where's the link to Connie's tracks?
Great video Connie! I love the Perkons too!!
Just went off with it for hrs
Wowzer that was super great. Fantastic track and performance
Mind blown! Awesome video!
Great demo 🎉
Learned a bunch from this vid. Thanks!!
Excellent performance, bravo!
great show off... definetly one of the best uses of this great drummachine...
wow, each voice getting an fx send is really cool. erica makes such interesting stuff
Beautiful track!
I don't love the fact that its four instruments are digital ... but I do like them paired with analog filters. Bottom line ... if I could justify the expense I would buy the Perkons in a second. Great demo, thanks.
Good Perkons presentation. The only machine which can compare is the Jomox Alpha Base.
Amazing performance
This looks amazing. I'll trade you my drumbrute impact :) molding drum sounds is so much fun and it's really limited on the arturia, but it's also an 8th of the price. Great demo
I’ve had the HD-01 for a few days, I love the simplicity and I intuitiveness . But I’m kinda disappointed that the sends don’t work like a true return bus. Meaning, when you plug in an effect it cuts the dry volume signal and you only get the wet signal on the effects knob, so you have to use the effects button or mix levels on the actual effects which for me is disappointing, I’d love to use it like a true effects return bus where you can have a pedal board tucked away with settings previously set and just send wet volume to the dry signal, oh well. Maybe the next generation they will think about this. Otherwise it’s a great piece of equipment. Oh and doesn’t seem like you can sequence external midi out on each channel, that’s also disappointing. Other than those two things, oh and the compression is noisy as hell, so other than those three, oh and the new chromatic feature isn’t tuned to C at the bottom range, so other than those 4 things 😂😂😂
💯💯💯
I'd love to have this for morphing. Sounds like it can do anything.
You're really pretty by the way 🙂
Nice jam at the end! 🙌
The sends make it really intriguing.
Total Perkons Envy!
Very cool.
🥳
what model of headphones is she wearing?/
Rad performance 🔥
Mines on its way 😎
Can’t tell if that’s a big synth or very tiny hands! Hahah Love the video
Best Perkons video. Damn Connie is cute o.o And what a performance! Well done.
got daaaamn connie
If I don't buy one of these soon I am actually going to die
Jesus it is so huge..
I just received mine and very underwhelming...It looks like it high quality but it feels like an empty shell...Someone opened it and took pictures of the inside and its literally empty...This product is not worth over 2k and shame on Erica Synths for charging so much for a giant bag filled with air...
What exactly are you underwhelmed by? Did you not watch videos on it beforehand?
Personally, I’m glad they didn’t make it super compact with tiny buttons and knobs
@@mt.nowhere You should read my comment again...I said go look and see whats under the hood and tell me what exactly whats worth 2300k inside this damn thing.. I dont have an issues about the controls lol wtf.
@@terrorbytez6537 if that’s your only complaint, don’t look inside a moog either lol
@@terrorbytez6537 Its mostly digital ya silly goose. Ofc it doesn’t have $2,300 worth of components on the inside. Were you expecting a gaming PC? The software could run on raspberry pi. If you don’t have any issues with the controls and you are either misinformed or looking for something wrong with it.
Yep, it's a 4 voice digital drum machine with a 16 step sequencer with some analog filters for over 2k! It sounds nothing like it does in the videos , I could not return this POS fast enough.
Save your money and buy a Syntakt. It does so much more for less with a smaller footprint.
But.. menudivings
@@suntzu6122 That seems the default response to those who have not really played with Elektron boxes (except the Octatrack, that is a menu diving beast). A lot of UI/UX went into the Elektron workflow, you can feel that while operating the machine. Yeah there are menus, but everything is intentional across all products. The Perkons has a very shallow UI/UX interaction with tailered back Elektron/sequencer-like interaction with mediocre UI/UX decision making, a lot of missed opportunities. It feels like it was made in the 80s with a few modern ideas baked in. Sequencing, effects, LFO, modulation, are all very limited on this machine compared to the Syntakt. Not to mention the bugs with parameter locking, saving is weird, global LFO/modulation outside of saving to name a few limitations. So, if 2K is worth alleviating the fear of menu-diving, maybe the extra money is worth it for you. I think it's a good jam-out on the spot drum machine, but not for 2K.
unfortunately the syntakt sounds very bad
@@HungerSymons Thanks for the laugh
I own both and they’re both great. Don’t have to be a contest. For what it’s worth the Perkons is way more fun. Syntakt is a beast though no doubt.
It sounds not even close like 2k. Nice interface, poor sound. Maybe good for a little bleep bleep or useless noise, but definitly not enough for a serious drummaschine... Sadly
Having just played one for the first time, I couldn’t be agree less with you. Exquisitely constructed, very very very good sonic translation when recorded, astounding when amplified with sub bass amplification ( sound systems you) and a logical, performative layout. Perkons has limitation by design, less has always been and will always be; more.
