🇮🇳 MUMBAI WALKING TOUR, DHARAVI SLUM, INDIA WALKING TOUR, INDIA WALK 4K, Dharavi is a neighborhood located in Mumbai, India. It is one of the largest slums in Asia and has a reputation for being densely populated and economically disadvantaged. Dharavi is situated between the suburbs of Bandra, Mahim, and Sion and covers an area of approximately 2.1 square kilometers.
Despite its reputation as a slum, Dharavi is a vibrant and bustling community with a diverse population. It is home to thousands of small-scale industries and businesses, including leather goods manufacturing, pottery, textiles, recycling, and many others. The residents of Dharavi are known for their resilience, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to make the most out of limited resources.
Dharavi gained international recognition through its depiction in the 2008 movie "Slumdog Millionaire," which showcased the struggles and triumphs of its inhabitants. Over the years, there have been various redevelopment plans proposed for Dharavi to improve the living conditions of its residents and transform it into a more modern and sustainable neighborhood. However, the implementation of these plans has faced challenges due to the complexity of the area's social and economic dynamics.

Western countries people have no idea how these people in poor parts of India live their full of life daily life without luxury but with a lot of human interaction and smell of exotic food. Their life is never boring. I dont say i would live there but definitely if i could i would visit it.
