    Was honestly not expecting these results! What do you guys think? Will the Pixel 8 Pro get better with software updates?
    Also - don't forget about the iPhone 15 & 15 Pro Giveaway (details in the description) and Nebula Nomad & Peaceful Palettes are now both LIVE in WallpaperZ! 🤩

    I think it is a big deal that the pixel 7 pro has had a year of camera improvements through updates. I think these phones need at least a few months as they also start to learn and teach themselves with machine learning. I believe most phones cameras get better over time.

      Well too bad should of been ready at launch. At the moment it is a downgrade. Rule #1 do not buy things ahead of time with the expectation of a fix. It may not happen. Infinite excuses for multi trillion dollar company.

      You can only compare the phones as they are now, not what they might be in the future,

    • @RealJoseph123
      @RealJoseph123 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      You can’t buy a phone based on the promise of future updates. You can’t also guarantee a update based on past behavior. There’s always something that will go down south, and things definitely change. Instead of apologizing for Google, it’s okay to say that it’s not as good as the previous. That’s how phones improve overtime. I’d said the iPhone 14 Pro photos weren’t as good in the HDR department as the iPhone 13 Pro, people said I was crazy. Look at the iPhone 15 Pro with Smart HDR 5, it has improved. This is what you people need to understand.

      @@lejeuvideo they have improved somewhat in the 8 pro (the details are less oversharpened) but it's not where it needs to be at all. The cutout around the subject is bad and the bokeh dropoff is unnatural. So yes it's better, but I rarely use it as you almost always get a better result just taking the photo normally and applying portrait blur.

    I think they still need to do a better job with portrait mode, you still can't adjust blur strength before taking photos, you can't take 1x portraits without that 1.5x crop, you can't take portraits with the 5x telephoto unlike the iP15 pro max and edge detection is still not as accurate as on the comptetion.

  • @Alex-vp4ky
    @Alex-vp4ky ปีที่แล้ว +14

    I always felt that any phone gen that uses a new larger sensor/mp count will always lose to the last gen simply because all the ai and enhance tricks aren’t fully tuned for the new images. The following yr (S year) is where that camera shines because all the software is fully designed to make that camera produce the _best_ photos.
    So id imagine that any issues in the pixel 8 pros photos will be solved in either a later software update or next gen, since this is the first year of 50 mp tele and ultra wide lens.

  • @stecallaghan
    @stecallaghan ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Not surprised at all. I find the 7 pro an incredible, flag ship label worthy device. The price drop of the 7 pro makes it all the more appealing. Most of the Pixel 8 pro improvement will be by virtue of a hand off in processing to the cloud and not on device improvement. Seems the new chip simply doesn't have the capability to do the level of processing needed. It's no match for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 2. If you've got a 7 Pro don't upgrade - the new 8 Pro features may well come to the 7 Pro in time.

    Outside in the Arizona heat more than 15 minutes the phone starts shutting down apps.
    It can't handle the heat as well as my Samsung did.
