For those who don't know, Aarne Sihvo who is credited for the lyrics, later became the Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces in the 1950's. He, as his brother Sam were both Jaegers. Aarne obviously went up in ranks all the way to General (referred to as Jääkärikenraali, lit. Jaeger General to distinguish from Generals who didn't participate in Jaeger training in Germany). Sam unfortunately died already in 1920's, succumbing to pneumonia he caught one drunken winter night after falling asleep in a house which wasn't heated.
There were four Sihvo Brothers who where all Jägers and two off them become Generals. Other General was General Major Jussi Sihvo who commanded 10. Division on 1944. Fourth brother was Captain Ilmari Sihvo who was youngest.

Fact: Aimo Lahti, who designed the Suomi Konepistooli, received a deal worth three million dollars at the time from a Chicago based gun manufacturer, but refused the deal, because of patriotism. He instead sold it to the Finnish government for a fraction of that price.

I believe thats a Suomi submachine gun. Aprox 50 000 were made before the end of ww2.
