As a Yankee fan, I was rooting for you guys. Everytime they won, I was on cloud nine. I was not bandwagoning. I was rooting for a city that needed an uplifting. When they started making a comeback and tieing the series and that rollercoaster of game 7, I was with you guys. One of the GREATEST WORLD SERIES EVER. 👍👍👍👍👍

Here it is, 2023, and I still get emotional when I watch the 2016 Cubs. Grew up a Cubs fan, hit Wrigley i don't know how many times, sat in left field and had beers with Harry Caray, got thrown out twice, and have incredible memories... but still whined about no World Series. I sat on the couch watching game 7, freaking out more than once, my wife telling the kids to "just leave dad alone for now. Trust me, just listen to him and you'll know what happens." Oh baby, was that true. The neighbors 3 blocks away heard me after Bryant threw to Rizzo for that last out. I sat there for ten minutes just staring at the wall with more than a single tear coming from my eyes. Simply amazing for me.
I live in Tennessee... been watching the Cubs on Tv since the push button cable box days. I cried like a baby the night they won the series... Nothing in this life can take that moment away from me or my friends who are Cubs fans... but most importantly... nothing can ever take it away from the Team or the City. Go Cubs... now and forever!
Watching in 2018 and I still can’t believe they finally won it all. That team was a pleasure to watch. I’m so happy for all of my fellow loyal Cubs fans. Many waited for longer than I did. I’m happy for all the generations of Cubs faithfuls who celebrated together. What a ride it was. I swear Game 7 Of The World Series took twenty years off my life. This video gave me chills and made me cry. Well done.

I grew up in Indiana. So while I understand the Cubs/Sox rivalry...I hate the Cards WAY more. Saying this may make me less of a true Cubs fan, but there is some city pride in the Sox winning in 05 for example. The Sox winning doesn't keep the Cubs from making the playoffs. Thanks for the support.
I too am a fan of the south siders, we got our World Series championship in 2005, sooner than the Cubs. But still I have nothing to badmouth the team.

As a Dodger fan I been waiting 24 years for a tittle got close last year but Cubs fans been waiting for centuries even lifetimes for a championship some fans wont know that feeling cuz there no longer here on earth but 2016 was a dream come true for cubs fans young and old sure my team lost in the lcs but cubs fans deserved it for a stellar season and a remarkable postseason the curse is over cubs fans your team will be contending for a while #respect

Sometimes I still can't believe it happened, even now, *months* later! Fabulous video...says pretty much everything I was feeling as a Cubs' fan throughout that whole dream of a season. It's hard to boil an entire season (heck, an entire lifetime!) of hoping and wishing and laughter and tears and cheering into one ten-and-a-half minute video, but I think you've done just that. Thank you.

Anytime I think of the 2016 Cubs, I think of a few things. Javy’s pink at bat , the Seattle comeback on Sunday night, green apples and that SF Giants NLDS comeback. I live in the Bay Area and I was at both those SF games. That year cannot be explained for me. I’ve watched baseball all my life and while there have been special Cubs teams in the past like that 2003 team. That team just had IT. They had talent no doubt but they were so tight with each other. The WS team was just like that, but even more talented. A group of tight ball players, you can just feel how tight a group they were jumping through the TV. Incredible.
I was born in Chicago til I was 5 years old and moved to Houston and have lived here for 48 years and I have always bleed Chicago bears and Cubs baseball I also cried when my cubbies won it all love my birth place Chicago.

I remember in 3rd grade our teacher would pull up live scores of the games from her phone if we completed our worksheets and homework. The day after the cubs won, our school bell ended up being “Go cubs Go!” That was the best year of school ever!
Never gets old...i can't imagine being older than 60 and waiting for that...This moment!! My story I've told 100 times...i don't own a tv. I normally listen to the game. But on game 7 I wanted to see...more importantly hear other Cub fans reactions. But I was broke and didnt want to go to a bar broke....but I checked my account to see if I had at least $20....not $20....$200!! To this day have no idea where that $200 came from. I bought drinks, hugged, high fives every cub fan in that bar! Top 3 days of my life...number 2 would have been at Wrigley.
I brought a bottle of champagne to the bar that night (which I would normally never do due to superstition). I pretty much spent a month straight with cubs fans at this point -- my wife wasn't super excited about that part. But she came along and I knew I was going to need that bottle at the end of the night. Win or lose. That night I sprayed it in the streets surrounded by fans while far from Illinois. Moments like this are what life is about. I am ecstatic that you got to make a memory for life. Thank you for sharing.

Even though our team now is still pretty good i will always remember 2016. 2016 had that diversity of veterans and youngbloods along with trust among the players and staff. Heres hoping to 2019 being a repeat.

Thank you. I am the writer/narrator. You asked if I was an amateur, and I would say sorta. I don't work in sports, which would be a dream. I work as a videographer for a local (local to me) TV news station. But I made this for me in my free time. It was a memory I never want to forget. On a certain level I was hesitant to put it out there because it was such a personal story. But to see anyone respond to it is truly incredible.
