  • How to install aluminum fence on dirt.
    The recommender 1-14/"x1-1/4" square steel tubing for fence up to 6' height is 14 gauge thickness. Also, the height of the steel tube should be at list half of the height of the aluminum post (example: if you install 5' high fence the steel should be at list 2.5' up from the ground).
    It is also recommended to use post stopper on the bottom of the post before sliding the aluminum post in order to line up the aluminum slats and post covers.
    Once all the posts are installed its time to attach the aluminum post to the steel using #12 self drilling screws.

    is it the same procedure for gates? Im interested in 6' gate, but need to put posts in dirt. the 6ft post doesnt seem to be long enough to for 2' in ground?
