Shack I noticed that you only use three ISD’s per-a-fight and you have four in one fleet (including Vader). If you move one of them to the fleet at Byss you could have a new fleet you can take to the north without suffering much fire power in the south.

I feel like Shack falls into the habit of doom stacking and not properly consolidating his forces fairly often. He's got enough ships available spread across his connected regions that he could have three fleets working on expanding, rather than just Vaders.

Shack, great vid, if you want the Tector and other capital ships build a "Imperial Advanced Warship Shipyard" over a plant (Fondor, Kuat, Byss, Corellia...)
The same goes for cruisers, just with the cruiser variant shipyard and also with the fighter variant :)
PS building the star fighter shipyard also makes it so that you can upgrade your victory- and imperial star destroyers to the 'advanced fighter loadout'

Journal of Gunnery Captain Tobias, final entry.
In my many years of service, I have met a lot of ISB agents but never an angry one. So when I came down to the brig for a little 'interview' and saw that he was seething with rage and doing a very poor job of hiding it, I knew I had to be careful or else my entire career and life would go up in flames. He asked me a couple of questions about my loyalty to the emperor, my service to the former republic, and my hobbies of course. But the last question made me go into panic mode as he asked me about black holes, and so I responded with an in-depth scientific explanation of black holes and why they exist, and that might have saved my life as he let me go, but the blaster shots I heard while exiting the brig and the sudden absence of my chief gunnery officer suggests I was very lucky to be alive.
Giju will go down both as my finest hour and the day I signed my death warrant as on that day, I got a notice, a notice of promotion to captain, it seems the purge of the imperial officer core didn't stop at my chief gunnery officer and now the devastator lacked a captain, and they selected me to me it's new captain, and I'm terrified because now I'm closer than ever to Lord Vader and I know if I make a mistake I will go straight to the morgue, and now I wish that ISB officer had just shot me.

    [ Personal Log ]
[ Subject: Galm Foulke, 457th Imperial TIE Squadron, No. 2 ]
    [ Assigned to Gozanti-Class "Seveneer" ]
    "First contact"
So command wanted to make a move onto the Ring of Kafrene. A station in the literal middle of nowhere, now supposed to act as a sort of "early warning" or "bufferzone" for the core's southern front. To do that, we had to break through the world of... Gee-joo? Guy-joo? Jee-joo?- that watery hell of a planet. Parrel brought the Seveneer long after the fleet jumped in, so we landed smack-dab in the middle of a Corellian shootout. ...Speaking of Corellians, this would be our first time taking a look at those Corellian Battlecruisers. Vicke's favorite ship, likely due to bias. The 457th took initiative after Vader lured a few of those starfighters onto his tail. One hell of a shootout, yeah. I'd say robbing a few kills from Kears is karma enough for winning against me in a few bets.
Around maybe a few hours before the ground forces landed, the news finally reached us. Lianna, an outer rim world close to rebel territory, was hit. Badly. Whatever garrison we had was lost to, from what I can tell, a "shield wall" of those Mon Cal ships. The fleet definitely fought well enough though, just enough to destroy a sizable chunk of the rebel fleet.
After the 501st mopped up everything on the ground, we headed off to the Ring of Kafrene itself. Occupied by a small Black Sun fleet and a few pirates, we (especially the 457th), thought it'd be a cakewalk. There was one small issue though. Out in that furball, right in the middle of all those cloakshapes and T-wings, iff showed an unidentified starfighter of sorts. We dismissed it for a short while, until we saw it ourselves tearing apart a TIE squadron in front of us... in seven seconds flat.
Initially, I thought it was an X-Wing. It didn't match it's silhouette though, having one hell of a wingspan and... definitely a lot more maneuverability. Hell, I'm not even sure anything outside a droid fighter could fly like that. The 457th gave chase, actually getting a few shots on it. It seemed like it was... toying with us? Yes, we gave chase. Yes we got shots on it. No, we didn't get whatever the hell it was. It hyperspaced away as soon as furball turned to our favor. Rienn doesn't believe the story. After all, she was in reserve the entire time. Parrel on the other hand was less skeptical. Reagel and I asked about that X-Wing. To quote Parrel, it doesn't ring any bells for him. Not sure if he'll take it to the ISB for investigation or just keep it under wraps for now. Suffice to say, more investigation is required.

    Personal Journal, , Neo-Inquisitorius
    Giju
"Lord Vader led the battle of Giju personally and instructed me to stay at his side throughout. Even on the bridge as he ordered the fleet to orbit and obliterate the Pirate fleet in orbit to the ground battle where the streets were ultimatly paved with the bodies of the Black Sun. It's in these instances, on the eve and amidst the battle that I have noticed the aura around Lord Vader become more intense than what is usual."
"The sense of anger that eminates from him is... suffocating. So strong and intense it nearly overwhelmed me during the 'selection' for his new Inquisitors. Now, while slightly more tolerable it still feels stifling, palpable it could almost be touched. And he showed me on Giju what it was capable of."
"Even as the soldiers and vehicles took up position at the edge of the capital city, I could sense all but those of the 501st detachment afraid, rooted in place by fear of what Lord Vader would do to them if they failed here. Even as our forces marched through the streets of the city, even as they came under fire from the Pirate weapon emplacements this fear forced them to march on into a slaughter field. Yes they withdrew to coax out enemy fixtures but as soon as they could, they turned around and threw themselves at the enemy even as Lord Vader and I marched with them through the streets."
"And then... such unimaginable, raw power. Lord Vader reaching out toward vehicles and even buildings and sought to crush them under the sheer weight of the Dark Side, vehicles compacting as if caught in a hypderdense gravity well, buildings just collapsing under the sheer weight of Lord Vader's anger. Even after the dust settled and the ground forces started to secure the surrounding area, Lord Vader never said a word afterward... he didn't have to as I understood as clear as day. Fear, Anger, Aggression. These give power to the Dark Side and through that the Dark Side can render you nigh unstoppable."
"On the trip back to the Devastator I slowly realize that this is what the Left Hand is hoping to emulate and achieve. Tapping in to what anger and hatred her training has imparted on her, her defeats during our little games only stoking that fire in her. Where as I... am reminded of a saying: 'Beware the fury of a patient man'. Theirs is the most terrifying when unleashed."

Imp Rep 10 - It would appear that some of the recent defeats have brought about some measure of change in the major strategy to be followed, and from what Lord Vader tells me, much of this is understandable. He says things like this happened back in the Clone Wars where the CIS made major strikes at some systems and generated a panic among the civilian population. He also mentions that many, if not all of these defeats, had been the result of the Jedi not understanding war or anything related to it. Which to me, also makes sense. A bunch of warrior monks with laser swords will never understand logistics or military firepower, and thus why they left countless worlds to be ground under droid "boots" in the Clone Wars and forcing the military to power through the Jedi's mistakes. On some levels, Lord Vader's respect for the Force also strikes as odd, but unlike the Jedi who never served a day in their worthless lives in any military capacity... Lord Vader was schooled at all the Republic's military academies and graduated with perfect marks in every course, and thus why Lord Vader was able to defeat the entire CIS at Mustafar at the end of the Clone Wars.
Now, as the Rebels try to push out against our forces in the northeast, the galaxy is recovering from the losses at Naboo and the Maw Instillation and is raising panic among Imperial citizens, likely at what the "freedom" the Rebels profess to support and the "promise" of chaos that the Black Sun has made. Much of this will require a massive amount of infrastructure and Lord Vader has put in place plans for a limited move to secure the major ship building worlds in the core and other areas. The base plan would be to assure that a massive amount of production can be built up so that the Empire may move in nearly any direction with at least three Imperial Star Destroyers per fleet. That will be impressive and will take time, but Lord Vader has invested in this strategy and has appeared to have calmed the Emperor with it.
At present, the campaign has taken us more in a southward direction in order to provide security for one of the major shipbuilding worlds that will be counted on... Fondor. This started with taking the planet of Giju, where while the Black Sun had a fair number of Corellian capital ships, they failed against the ISDs. These ships were likely stolen from Corelian companies still operating "private businesses," which the Empire will surely end as this comes to light. As only the EMPIRE should do business and everyone else is to SERVE the EMPIRE. For look at the fate of Incom after they created the X-Wing for the Rebels... most of their leaders fled and those that didn't were executed, along with 40% of their workforce that protested nationalization, the remainder was enslaved...
Once Giju was taken, with only minimal losses from the regulars, the fleet moved to the Rings of Kafrene and secured that station. Scans of the region of space have reported more Black Sun worlds in the distance, but we now have a southern warning system while Lord Vader then moves back to securing the other worlds surrounding Fondor and allowing for the build of ships and weapons that will be needed for the strength and security of the Empire, which ALL citizens want. - Ensign Iam Minion.

I do think it's interesting that on this super-map, which seems to more accurately portray things relative to canonical star-charts, Shed's first moves have been to try and secure the core, and then all of the major hyperlanes. That's exactly what the New Republic did post-Endor, in the years leading up to the liberation of Coruscant. Controlling the lanes assured their status as a rising galactic power, allowed them to concentrate and project force anywhere, and likewise cut off the feuding Imperial warlords from each other. When each Warlord obligingly lined up to take a run at the 'rebel scum', they could only fight with a fraction of Imperial resources and got, of course, powned.

getting victory 2's should be a priority. they're tanky enough and have plenty of ion weaponry, two or three of them in a fleet and your enemies won't have shields. especially if you heavily micro manage your ships. and if you pair them with the victory 1's then you can handle mc80's no problem.

I think you should consider a northern campaign to secure the "money worlds" past Ord Mantell. There's also a cool scripted mini-campaign up there which will unlock Admiral Thrawn as a hero, as well as his unique tie fighters I believe. It definitely helped to pad my Imperial coffers in my campaign as well, which was a nice bonus. Some great planets up there that give discounts on fighter production too.

So i have indeed played the new dawn star wars mod and enjoyed it. There are two types of map starts "aside from size" one is called cannon the other is sandbox. Cannon gives you the galaxy at the time just after the clone wars with all the empires borders matching so the galaxy is filled. Sandbox is a more traditional Stellaris start where you start with one system. The mod also includes an "optional" crisis path for the empire and leads to the eventual rebellion "works on both types of strarts". And while everything is based on vanilla systems everything in the mod is changed to fit the Stellaris lore, including the artifacts, excavations , and end game crisis. I look forward to you playing it.

Log #10: Forward Operations Post: Gilji
501st legion: Gamma Squad (attached to imperial army peacekeepers)
    TK-534 (Darro Keppen)
Recon. Its an important part of any combat force, or so i was told in basic. Its an important job but a dangerous one. Recon always has high casualties and therefore, nobody likes taking that job. But as I found out, there is an arguably worse position. Vader's Bodyguard.
Lord Vader... everyone talks about him less like a man and more like a force of nature. A miracle on the battlefield, as long as you aren't in his way...or if you are an incompetent imperial officer. All the clones have the highest respect for lord Vader, but being part of his landing party is...well it's got a high turnover, as Kilo squad found out the hard way.
Gilji was part of our ongoing peacekeeping operations as we move from the core to the colonies. The local native government was caught double dealing with the criminal syndicates and it falls to is to restore order with a more... imperial friendly government. But our Air support was delayed due to a hurricane over the capital city platform and recon had to be done on foot. Kilo went with two squads of army regulars and blundered into a flight of Morningstar gunships. The army troopers got back under our flak screens but Kilo squad didn't make it. Kilo held the rear for the army troopers to get to safety.
Its tough when you lose troops, even if you didn't know them personally. But the 501st is different. There are many clones left from the Clone Wars, old as they are. But every battle means less clones and more shineys like me. You can feel the resentment. Jaeger resents us. Hoytt...the Sargent is a good man snd a good soldier. But something like Gilji happens and you know they take it hard. Not only because thats our comrades but because you know it means more new soldiers who aren't the same.
Ive been asked in the mess about what happened on Anaxes. Every time I'm asked I don't know what to say. I should be proud of it. I led my men and held against 4 companies of my classmates. But to them, it just means that the new soldiers coming up are not up to par.
There was a flight lieutenant running supplies down here to the F.O.B, i can't remember her name. We got to talking about it snd she said something I thought was profound. "Extraordinary is expected as routine for the 501st." It goes against a lot of the culture that was at Anaxes. At Anaxes it was "do your job and nothing further because anything above and beyond is a liability." KT-959 believed that. And I put a stun bolt in his back for it. Now he's gone, and We're here. I think that Commander Kimmund chose Me, Det snd Ava not because we were extraordinary, but because we were willing to ignore that toxic culture of low expectations. Kilo squad didn't have to save those regs. We're Stormtroopers, we are more important and worth more as horrible as that is to say. But Kilo's actions saved those regs and helped us clear the sky's. Because of them a loss did not become a massacre and we went on to bring peace back to Gilji. Extraordinary is routine for us. It's the way it should be. Maybe that's why i keep getting asked about it. Everyone is waiting to see if the new shineys will measure up.
Looks like patrol is coming back in. Gamma is taking next patrol. The fighting ended after we took the government sector but most of the platform is without power and utilities from the fighting and the hurricanes. We got to patrol the platform to prevent looters and rebel sabatours. Security is being taken seriously after that mess on Naboo. I'll write more when I get back from patrol.

(Towards the end of Gamma Squad's patrol, they spot Triton squad sitting under the outside oning of the cantina to avoid the constant rain. The troopers obviously on break after the fighting that had taken place. Eating ration packs and energy bars. The bound and unconscious form of one of the Black Sun commanders laying face down against the ground being used as a foot rest by Ace. The other members of Triton either sitting on the ground or on crates. Blue Star waving them over.)
      Blue Star: "Gamma, over here."
(As the squad approaches and huddles under the oning, Blue Star removes his helmet and smiles. Shaking hands with Hoytt and Jaeger.)
Blue Star: "Hoytt, Jaeger, good to see ya. I see you guys finally got your shinies too."
Ace: "You here to pick up this pirate scum?"
(Ace taps his heel on the back of pirate commander for emphasis.)
Blue Star: "Orders were to hold our position and wait for someone to come get us. We assumed it be an Agent Heretic from Imperial Intelligence."
[In my head cannon, the number of clones left now is around 6,000 after the Death Star. Normal legion number is 12,800. The 501st at this point is half clone, half normal human. The humans are chosen to join are the best recruits among the academies with the skill to fight alongside clones.
Commander Kimmund is the overall legion commander now under Darth Vader. He was chosen because he is able to work out the differences between the two groups. He's human to appease the new recruits who don't like clones, but in return he ensures that no weak troopers drag the legion down and that the clones fill command positions first because of experience.
Kimmund is the middle man that keeps the legion together and fighting at the same standard as before. A mix of both cannon and legends here.]

    Death squadron log:
Rarely you would receive more than one good thing back to back, yet you can't do but be hopeful like a fool. Once again I was a fool. Over Ciji, we had a really nice battle, we were the first to ender and we became the focus of their attention, they tried to swarm us, they failed, we killed them in the dozens, apparently the test of the fleet wasn't too late in the battle and helped us a lot, I didn't notice nor cared what they did, all I cared about was taking the chance before me and I did. All this gave me hope that I will have another glorious encounter, perhaps even greater, only for that thought to evaporate. Our ship was too damaged so kept us behind at Kafreine, US, the most dangerous squadron in the fleet, kept away from battle and forced to watch as the rest horded all the glory. I was so furious I was about to shoot the commander, he has a lot of thanks to give to my brethren for stopping. I wanted to scream my lungs off, why does the dark side test me so much? Haven't I prove that I'm a weapon? That I'm lethal? That I'm I'm a true believer in the dark powers? I can't believe I say this but I'm looking forward to today's Stations and Rancors. I need to let off steam.

One thing that could help you is to train a lot of troops and drop them in border worlds that may be attacked, put an outpost, a power generator and a shutter shield. If the world has more space, I put a barrack to help get the troops. Forget about any space defenses, save them for the important worlds. In some worlds even regulars can easily hold huge armies and is cheap to do.

    Lieutenant's Log
    Week 55
    Giju
Things are quiet at the moment. A couple systems change hands now, and we continue to secure the Imperial heartland.
In the wake of the Maw's fall to piratical forces, Vader ordered us to liberate Giju, homeworld of the Herglic people and, as Lucius put it, the oldest allies of Coruscant. The liberation was easier said than done. Vader led his 501 troops and soldiers from the 477th, the same regiment that had troops running through the minefield on Breental IV, the regiment stayed around, but has been on reduced manpower for months. The liberation of Giju did not help them, casualties were felt in the regiment, a consequence of the local Suns having a number of aircraft and troops. The 501st troopers with Vader took losses too, nearly an entire platoon wiped out. Triton Squad and a few others chalked it up to the sheer number of pirates, and I cannot bring myself to disagree with them, there were a lot of pirates.
In the wake of Giju's liberation, new warships were taken from the Fondor Pocket and sent northwards to the Byss Defense Fleet to help strengthen it further. As of now, the fleet reports success in their push against the Ring of Kafrene. Meanwhile, resources have been flowing from a few sectors, Tanarith and a couple others, to Ghorman, regardless of commands by the local governor, and the local people have been receiving large amounts of medical and food supplies. The whole issue with Ghorman is a can of issues, but Lucius and the Tanarithians blame Tarkin and his heavy-handed tactics, Alderaan being another example they point to for why the galaxy is the way it is. The Ghorman people still have not recovered fully from the blockade that was lifted a while ago, and there are those who would seek to make sure they do.
In less uplifiting news, our holdings near the end of the Perlemian Trade Route are under siege. The recent battle there saw three Alliance capital ships fall to the Imperial defense fleet stationed in orbit, though the fleet was lost completely. They gave as good as they received, possibly even better.
The questions in the minds of most of our forces are simple, where do we go now? Do we strike south towards Eriadu along the Rimma Trade Route? Or the Corellian Trade Spine? Do we strike north towards Iridonia and Yaga Minor? Or do we go back east? I for one and of the opinion we stay here in the south, clean up this section of the galaxy as a warmup for the others.

Not speaking as a player, but the Rebellion seems to be making headway into your territory.
Maybe shoring up your defenses and clearing a path through to your isolated territories would be beneficial. Just a thought. Because it seems like the Rebels have an awful lot of strong capital ships just lying around, and Black Sun hasn't really put up an organised defense for a while.
Conquering Giju and the Ring of Kafrene was necessary I suppose, but going all the way down to Hoth seems like you'd be stirring up a hornet's nest. Also, you can at least hold Giju as a bottleneck against Black Sun attacks, and even if they get through Giju, you will have them in a choke-point.
Or just continue with the forward momentum, I dunno. It seems like rebel activity in that region hasn't been very noticeable, so Hoth could just be a red herring in terms of being a hub of rebel activity with just a fun ground invasion mission as a reward, and the Anoat sector in Star Wars canon did become a strong foothold for the Empire, so there may be some benefit to destroying the rebels there since Anoat is also one of the hidden planets on the map next to Hoth.
Furthermore, Bakura is of course where the pretty good Bakuran destroyers are made, so getting those out of the hands of the Black Sun would be beneficial, and Endor's importance goes without saying.

I kinda wish Shack would pick a side of the galaxy and commit to clearing it. The rush to secure hyperlanes is spreading his forces out and leaving a lot of room for retaliation like what happened at Lianna. Even ignoring the state of imperial mining & manufacturing at this point in the campaign, the current strategy is begging for rebel/black sun offensives that cut Shack's main forces off from the imperial core.

@@MajorHickE Exactly, but honestly my point isn't even that drastic.
Shack should at least be focusing on connecting to the imperial planets that are currently disconnected to the Imperial worlds, and fortify the bottleneck points.
He is losing planets like Naboo and allowing rebel fleets to run wild in vulnerable sectors.
I understand why he isn't focused purely on one side, but he is spreading himself way too thin. Like when he went for the Wheel but hasn't cleared out the systems that connect to it meaning that the Wheel is completely exposed and all of the planets beyond it are exposed.

    Field Agent Log:
    Capt. [ERROR: Unauthorized Clearance]
    Imperial Intelligence Agent “Harbinger”
The assault on Giju was nothing like anyone predicted, even me which I don’t say often. The forces there were better armed and equipped than anticipated, and because of that the battle almost became a slog through the capital city.
Strangely enough, Lord Vader requested that me and my squad assist with the 501st in taking the capital. I wasn’t complaining seeing as I had orders to take any pirate leaders alive for questioning, a job made much easier with the 501st and especially my squad.
Once we entered the city proper, something felt off. The streets were too quiet, too empty. I know Lord Vader suspected something as well, or maybe felt something with the Force. Either way, he sent in a squad of scouts and some men from the 501st to investigate. Seems I was right as not long after, they troops got caught in an ambush. My squad and I tried to move in to help but it was too late. However, their deaths were not in vain, as the scouts called out the rebel position before being taken out and they were still very much there when my squad and I got eyes on them. We sent the call for fire and soon the Devastator was raining fire down onto the pirates positions. From there, we moved forward to the Black Sun base on world and found the last commander of the Black Sun forces cowering in the cantina. I would’ve felt bad for him if he didn’t drunkenly try to shoot Tash.
I’ve sent the pirates to Agent Heretic, won’t be long before she gets something out of them.
    Agent Harbinger, signing off.

Augusts armor has him with a small pauldron as opposed to his old, much larger one. Think of the one Iden had in Battlefront II. His helmet also has an Antenna attached to the side. He also has a TL-50 in exchange for his E-11.
Atto has the medic symbol still on his shoulder pad and can be seen equipped with a medical pack on his back.
Tashs armor itself isn’t changed but he can be seen with a grenade launcher slung around his chest and hanging off to his side at the moment, as well as a bandolier for his grenades. The bandolier ends in a satchel for his explosives.
Kevels armor also doesn’t change a whole lot but he has a bandolier for ammo packs around his torso. He is also equipped with a TL-50 rather than his E-11.
Walschs armor is largely unchanged but he also has a pack for explosives and a compact rocket launcher.
And Harbinger himself has had some changes. Instead of wearing armor basically like Inferno Squad from Battlefront II EA, he now has a Kama and armored boots. Roland: No idea, but I know it's important if this commodore can just steal us for a fight.
(Back with the regs, Guy starts barking orders.)
Guy: Alright, marksmen- I mean, snipers! Gather up in your teams! Check your blasters and make sure everything checks out when we exit hyperspace.
[If it's a small group like this, I think Miles would send his XO, unfortunately not Jaxx due to bureaucrats. Cartman is incompetent anyway, so sending him commanding such a small force on what is certainly a deadly mission ensures he either dies or messes up bad enough to be replaced by Jaxx should they need to retreat, or they win and he gets transferred to a higher priority front. That's half the reason Lucius would've sent Roland and his team despite them effectively being part of his battalion now.
As for the way Roland's team is, Star would be able to see they are part of Lucius's unit. Navy blue armorgloves, with scout trooper armor worn over them, and kamas and a couple red markings on the armor.
Roland also has his DLT-19x swapped out for the new one Lucius commissioned for him. His own armor also has a few feathers painted on each pauldron, courtesy of Valencia.

@@Zaeikil (Star, Roland, and Harbinger enter the briefing room where Cartman and Sledge are waiting. Star waves them off and sits at the front of the table. Hitting a button on the projector and bringing up a planet covered in water.)
Star: "Gentlemen. Welcome to the ISD Darkstar. I have been given this mission directly from Imperial intelligence and since your units have been the most successful against our enemies, I have requested your assistance. Gentlemen, this is Selane V. A small, insignificant world of water with a few scattered islands in the Mid-Rim on the edge of the Core. Thanks to intelligence provided by Agent Heretic, we've learned of a small but well fortified rebel resupply and refueling base used by Rogue Squadron and it's support squadron Saber. Alongside an old Venator class Star Destroyer the squadrons are housed in. They use this base to strike at targets all throughout the Core and Mid-Rim.
My orders, our, orders, are to destroy that base, and capture any high ranking personnel and data we can. Putting a stop to these raids that have claimed hundreds if not thousands of lives."
(Star taps a button and the image change to one of the rebel base.)
"The rebel base itself is on an island and as I said, VERY well defended and protected with a shutter shield that envelopes the whole island. There's only one suitable landing site for our forces on a stretch of beach here, but the shield prevents us from landing. As if that weren't enough, the rebels have concentrated the majority of their defenses on this beach. Everything you can think of, they have. Turbo lasers, bunkers, entrenched infantry positions with heavy repeating blasters in overlapping fields of fire, mines, vibrowire, mortars, and more than enough men to hold it."
(Sledge frowns as Star lays out the obstacles. Working out the numbers and outcome of the battle in his head.)
Sledge: "Commodore Star, sir. With respect this attack seems.. ill-advised. You plan on conducting an amphibious assault on a heavily entrenched position that won't have any form of pre-bombardment to weaken it's defenses. The assault force will have no air support, or support craft to cover the men aside from the assault boats that'll have to drop us off. To which they won't last long under turbo laser fire. Casualties will be extremely high and unsustainable. We might not even make it off the beach."
(Star nods respectfully to the clone captain.)
Star: "I understand your concerns Captain Sledge. Do not worry. I have no intention of wasting good troopers like the 501st. Which is why my plan of attack is more... unorthodox. To give you the most cover, this will be a nighttime landing, and we won't be using assault boats."
(The assembled men look at Star confused. Harbinger's eyes questioning Star's competency as a commander.)
"Instead, we will be using AT-ATs. The assault force will load up on the walkers and be deployed on an nearby island from the Darkstar. To which they will then walk underwater to the target, emerge, and then deploy the assault force directly on the beach. To give you further cover and to mask the approach of the walkers, I have timed the attack to take place during a thunderstorm that'll hit the island tonight. That should give you the element of surprise as well. Captain Sledge, your company will be the first wave on shore. Riding in the first four walker of the AT-AT company. The regulars will be the second wave in the remaining four.
Harbinger, you and your squad will be in the first wave. Your objective is to slip through the enemy line and take out the shield generator. That's the only way we'll be able to get reinforcements on the beach. This plan hinges squarely on you and your men. If you fail, all of the assault force will be lost. Agent Heretic recommended you because you were among the best. I hope her confidence wasn't misplaced. Once you've completed your objective, move into the base if possible and secure any data you can. If not, link up with the assault force.
Until the shield is down, you'll have only four hundred men to secure a beachhead and landing zone. Once you do, Captain Dynamo, will land with reinforcements and AT-STs. Together, you'll all push on to the base and destroy it. Capturing any high ranking personnel. If the rebels try to flee, the Darkstar will be waiting to block their escape."
(Star sits back in his seat and looks at each member in the room.)
"Any questions, or improvements you believe to be helpful? All is welcome. Speak your minds."
[We're gonna see if "all terrain" really means all terrain. Did you guys see this coming? I don't think even Saul would predict this. Seeing his reaction to an entire company of AT-ATs rising out of the water should be interesting. Star will hold Roland back after the briefing for a moment.]

You can use a capital ship as a Guild hall in SWTOR. It starts out bare and with many sections locked but as your guild grows and completes challenges you gain more and more decorations to put on them and unlock more sections. The decorations are anything you can think of, tables, rugs, flags, NPCs. That said since it’s the Old Republic you don’t use anything from modern SW. Instead if you play for the Republic the flagship is a Valor-class cruiser and for the Empire it’s an Harrower-class dreadnought.

It May be costly, but if you punch through Yag’Dhul south of Thyferra you could pick up Ozzel’s group from Malastare. Between Malastare, the Byss group and Vaders fleet you’ve got 2-3 functional combat groups, or enough fodder to garrison your exposed flanks

I Played a New dawn for Stellaris and I was the CIS faction based ships with droids. Do not do what I do and attack the Mandalorian faction. They are very very strong in early and late game. With other factions that could hate you for being big. U gonna have a fun time. You should play it Shack Recommend it.

Great battles on this episode. Having to choose a single thumbnail amongst all that eye candy must have been a pain.
As for Stellaris, I was kind of expecting modders to use and abuse the Imperial Fiefdom origin that pits an extant empire vs a relatively small breakaway faction to represent the Clone Wars/Galactic Civil War.

    Personal Log 6
Hangar Operations Lieutenant Kallo Jente - Acting Senior Lieutenant in the absence of Senior Lieutenant Dolder
Temporary Post: Victory Star Destroyer ‘Tribune’ - 7th Task Force
"I'm not entirely sure how much further my career will go. At this point, in the subsequent purge after something the ISB interrogator called the Maw, there are empty places in the ranks across the entire Imperial Fleet, not just the Tribune. I had the feeling as I was leaving the interrogation chamber that I was lucky to be alive. If it hadn't been for my wayward brother's advice, I'm not sure I would be. 'Friends in the Empire, are just stepping stones. You can choose to stay with them and go nowhere, or move on, to new horizons.' That was the last message he sent me before being reported missing by local security forces at Takodana.
That piece of advice signed Lieutenant Dolder's death warrant. I handed in my report of him and his ring of officer's incompetencies I had observed in the few months I've been assigned to the Tribune. I did this mere hours before I was called to the interrogation chamber, due to the words of the shuttle pilot who flew in the ISB. Lev Kyster. I'll have to remember that name.
As I record this in my cramped officer's quarters, do I regret the death of an incompetent but otherwise strong officer? No. Does that reflect poorly on my morals? I would think not. The Empire and its forces are a fortress of order and authority. And any crack in that fortress, no matter how small they may be, can be left unremedied if this fortress is to stand tall and strong.
If I am to help protect these ideals, I think there may be more 'stepping stones' with which I have to cross.
    Log, cease recording"

"We passed through Giju, a tactical officer yelled 'yes! they're running! just in time too, we've got heavy damage on 2 starships' right as the battle ended. I think he thought his comm was off because it didn't sound like something he was supposed to broadcast _to the entire fleet, including Vader's own personal Tie!_
"Next stop; the Ring of Kafrene, we're really starting to move out away from the core, and home... now." Beady stopped his recording with a beaming grin, things were really looking up!

ISD 1s underperform for how the Rebels are playing in this campaign. Since you are competent enough (unlike the AI or cannon Empire) to build screener ships, you should take advantage of your capital ship power. Right now, they are outright beating you in slug matches.

I'm a bit late to the party here, but I'll add my take on tech upgrades anyway. Ordinarily, I would go starfighter tech just so I'm not stuck with swarms of TIE/lns getting curb-stomped by A-Wings, but in this case the Rebels seem oddly focused on capital ships. Personally, in this case, I'd go with capital ship tech to get those ion weapons to deal with those heavily shielded ships more effectively.

  • @Kj-ff6kx
    @Kj-ff6kx 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

You should focus on ion based ships like Vic II then fighter production. You should also consolidate and move a ISD to the Northern theatre as well as make a new one as your income is getting pretty good. While you build up and defend rich worlds of course keep asserting the pressure on the Rebels. Take a couple of their worlds here and there to weaken them.

"The long-dead Markab system," eh? Babylon 5 reference? ;-)
BTW *Sends two Occupiers against one cheap Black Sun tank and nearly loses one of them* "Wow, I should do that more often." ;-)
If you want more early warning in that area, you can push for Takodana to see ship movement. I would finish off that Rebel fleet up north first, though.
I hope you take Tepasi, though. Tagge Battlecruiser is good in early game, but you won't like it if you get it super late.

While everyone is suggesting Capital or Frigate research, I'm one of the rare that say go through the Fighter route.
Now hear me out, having gunships is an option for dealing with OP Rebels shields. While having stronger strike craft will aid vs the quick Black Sun ships.
Plus, Ton Falks comes with the ability to heal fighters/bombers. Why spend millions of credits on 1 ISD; when you can spend a quarter of that for millions of strike craft?

I do not think, you need to tech up jut yet. The regular ISDs and victory’s seem to be good enough.
Maybe put the money into mass producing capital ships and push through to Hoth/ or go north east to mon Calla.
If you take out these two planets (6-7 if you count the planets before that), the rebel alliance will be effectively defeated.
Even if you lose half of your fleet and ground forces, you can always recover.
And we saw that even as „small“ imperial Defence fleet can deal major damage to a sizable enemy fleet.
The Black sun won’t be able to focus their resources to exploit your Excessive Force Operation against the Rebels.
