- Been a rough week, so much so I've decided to shun the Galaxy and make my own! Lathrixian Galaxy is best galaxy, confirmed by 9 out of 10 xenos. Just try and get me to do the housework now I'm in my own galaxy!

Yeah so there are a few editing mistakes, had a long week of travel to care for family and staggered both recording and editing. Between that and a few hours of sleep this week.. it's been a bit rough. One example being the flusion states + origin location events being repeated as I had a few takes trying to read It 'well' and managed to slip both sets of takes in by mistake, so that large section basically repeats! This was all after double checking the video multiple times, whoops!!
Sorry about that, will try my best to avoid it in the future and will be using the TH-cam editor to remove these segments (will take a day or so!).
Really hope you all enjoy regardless, less tired and mentally exhausted Lathrix in the future!

When you tried to explore a "new system" witht he EHOF Ultima, it is not that it didnt work, you needed to select in the pannel wich kind of system you wanted. The Ultima does not spawn random cohesive systems, you can tell it what type of celestial body you want, either black hole or any type of star, with the correct technologies you can even spawn the quasar and massive black hole that are only found in the center of the galaxy.

@@Illegiblescream No, it only works if you have the tech AND the center is not the one you want to summon with the EHOF.
@@seanmcgalliard2957 the tech is designed to have either a birch or gun in center, with a seperate one in the new galaxy. There's no cap to the 'alternative' one - having a birch world as your main means you get serveral hypermassive quasars (not that good) but having a quasar as your main means you get several birch worlds
@@cewla3348 Is there a option to get multiple galaxy cores? I have the Aeternum as my galactic center (by choice) and managed to spawn one hyper-quaser (which I turned into a Hyper-Quasercraft because lol, lmao even) However when I go into find new cohesive systems there is no option to find any more. Is there an option I need to toggle or is it one time only?
Can you get an Ultima without this origin?
That scarlet mist planet is a Fallout reference. It's The Cloud from dead money, which was made in the think tank.

For some reason I pictured myself in a poorly lit room happily sharpening a ridiculously sized stack of pencils when he said it.
The Stellar Eradicator is roughly between a Moon and a Planet in terms of power, and is effected by the endgame crisis multiplier
however it primarily has spinal weaponry and cant really cope with corvette, frigate, destroyer swarms
The EHOF is such a great addition to the mod, the ability to both expand without conflict or even bore a closable wormhole straight into enemy terriroty later on makes it useful for any empire type. It's just a shame that the Sentient Metal and Quasi-Negative ship parts don't hold up to the standards set by other mods such as ESC Next.
it's also the most ridiculously difficult to maintain part of gigas and those who even attempt to are regarded as gods among the discord
@@electricheisenberg5723 I mean, I'm never been one for peacefully expanding using it but I sure as hell use it to mount surgical strikes on enemy forge worlds. It seems to me like some of the more recent iterations make it harder to unlock in the first place? I find myself getting it so late these days that by the time I can choose which system I want to create a wormhole to, it's not really worth doing so.

@@electricheisenberg5723 As in, galactic cores? I usually play with Aeternum on and have only made the QSO once (as awesome as it is, I have usually burned all my ascension slots by then). Or is this something like a way of creating multiple galactic cores for deposits rather than gigastructures?

just to let you know Lathrax, when you use the EHOF, let the fleets reach the center of the system you are jumping to, or they will try to permanently reach it, reissuing orders very veeeeeery many times a second creating some severe lag and a very big annoyance. If they reach the center of the system they jumped to using the EHOF it fixes itself.
EDIT: Disregard, i have reached the point in the video where you realize just that >.
If you just click cancel orders it works just fine for me, no additional orders

The attack moons have a special Lunar Missile Battery x-slot weapon which is far superior to any other type
Also, afterburners are amazing for 400 speed moons

I know how to fix the glitch shown at 1:26:00. Basically, the E.H.F.O wants the ships to go to a specific point in the star system as part of the animation. When the animation is interrupted the fleets are trying to go back to finish. The easiest way to fix it is to cue the orders so they do what you want immediately after the animation is over.

Hey there. I am the one who gave the Elowiny (Lead Dev) idea about the coup based on the experience I had with the UFS that happened in my game. The character in certain, Aaron, got elected in democracy and the AI reformed the goverment into a dictatorship. Based on that, Elowiny loved that idea so much that they've made it into the mod itself as an event that can fire.
If you want to experience this for yourself, either get lucky - > the UFS needs to spawn, not the Katzen, then there is 50% chance it fires in the next 10 years or here are the events you can put in console and experience it yourself: "event giga_flusionunion.010" - Aaron's coup (only use it after 10 years after UFS appears, not sooner)
Aaron is supposed to be Kaiser-lite, but he's more.. let's say... a "gamer" (read lots of warcrimes - the civic is a reference to the Burgundian System from TNO mod for HOI4, if you know that mod, you will get what he's supposed to be)

I remember playing around with the EHOF once then teleporting into a hyperquasar with it and I couldn't build the giant laser around it because it spawned with a ringworld around it. Never seen anything more funny and frustrating at the same time
meh the laser or QSO as it's called isn't worth it compared to the ''basic'' nicoll dyson beam it really needs a buff/change in it's targeting method to be worthwhile

If you're looking for a mod for your next playthrough, try the "Ancient Empires" mod
Its about the challenge if you want it to be but its mostly an event mod
oh if he puts it on max diffculty it will be the gretest challenge hes ever done seriously at max level ONE of there fleets completely obliterates the OP Phanon super star fort Gigastructure in a second.

on hard there about equal.
on hardest they SMASH stellaborne and basically every modded crisis except blokkats.

19:27 Surprised no-one seems to have brought this up, but this event chain with the "scarlet scourge" seems to be a reference to Fallout New Vegas, specifically the Dead Money DLC. In that DLC, a casino and its attached villa have been shrouded by a toxic red mist simply called "the cloud" that was created by a group of mad scientists as an experiment. It kills living tissue as well as corrodes nonorganic materials, and is very difficult to see through. Moreover, there is no protection against it, as even advanced hazmat suits are either corroded or penetrated by it.
and it's basically 'what if that escaped'?
"Innovation forge" was also a nickname of Big MT, the place where the cloud was originally created. Also, in game in the old world blues dlc you can go to the Y17 hazmat testing facility and find a hazmat suit used by the ghost people of the Seirra Madre (Dead Money DLC location)

When you use the EHOF it sets all ships in the system to go to the star of the target system, and if they don't get there it repeats the order. That's why the attack moons were possessed.
Woo, this was so fun! I love all the lore and events, and I absolutely adore the idea of an isolated pocket of the galaxy. Thank you so much for showcasing it and giving us such a fun playthrough!!

The Eradicator Is No Joke That Thing Can 1v1 A Attack Moon.
Normally I Wait Until Either I Have A Behemoth Planetcraft Or Half A Dozen Attack Moon Lead Fleets To Deal With It.
I made a fleet full of corvette with the weapon that bypasses armor and shields, and made as cheap as possible. Throw them at it regularly, and it will die. Eventually.
@@manofironthathasntturnedcr9817 Just ignore the worlds emptied to crew the number needed (I know it doesn’t actually use pops to crew military ships)
I killed Eradicator with ~500 Corvettes with Phase Disruptors and no significant modded bonuses to ship damage (I think I had 5 Speed and 6 Damage Repeatables).
While the Damage of the Eradicator is high, its Tracking is relatively low, and the amount of weapons it has is quite limited. Attack Moons lose this matchup because they cant evade.

If you want to experience the full EHOF story, you're going to need to play with Compound enabled as the endgame crisis.

When a ship would be sent to another system via the ehof, it basically forces an order for that ship to move. For whatever reason, this can bug out and cause it to just keep running back there. An easy fix is to press H.

I really enjoyed this, and those traders are incredibly interesting - even a year later, and playing a lot of gigastructures, I've not stumbled across them before.
On my first Gigastructural game, I used the EHOF and got a 4 ringed Ring World system as my first one. I had insane luck that run.

I realy love these stellaris ppaythroughs. After the mass pop rework,or the dlc's that brought with it, no idea, my pc simply couldn't handle stelaris past the early game anymore. So seeing your playthroughs is my way of still enjoying stellaris XD. Thanks for that lathrix ^^.
