Tomodoro Mexitalian on Carnival Firenze: Is it worth the hype? Check it out!

- It's been almost a year since we first enjoyed Tomodoro Mexitalian on board Carnival Venezia where the dining venue was first introduced. We were curious: Will Carnival Firenze deliver the same experience? How will the food be? We ate breakfast at Tomodoro Mexitalian to find out. We share the menu, what we ate, and our thoughts on the food and venue.
Introduced on Carnival Venezia, Tomodoro Mexitalian has all of the familiar offerings of line favorite, Blue Iguana Cantina. For breakfast, the menu includes customizable breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros, and arepas. We loved this spot for breakfast on Carnival Venezia and and wanted to check it out on sister Carnival Firenze!
There are tons of places to eat on board Carnival’s newest cruise ship, Carnival Firenze. Tomodoro Mexitalian is just one of multiple spots open for fast-casual breakfast service. We recommend skipping the buffet and checking out one of the included spots to elevate your food options on board.

How's the cruise so far? My first ever cruise is on the Firenze in August. We middle of boat on deck 9. Can you notice the boat movement out at sea? Wondering if I need to bring some motion sickness meds just in case. Thank you Mark!
We’re loving this ship so far! We always recommend bringing motion sickness prevention on any cruise, as the weather can only be predicted so much. You’re in for a treat on this ship!
Hi Mark, I did try Tomodoro and thought it was okay. I can't speak for the huevos rancheros, since I did not try it.
Ohhhhh, I'm sorry to hear that! The Huevos Rancheros are my favorite with the Arepa and salsa from the Toppings Bar. The breakfast burritos can be hit and miss; I've only had one over the two sailings, but will try again this coming week to see if they've gotten better.
Did you both have a long traffic backup getting to the parking structure?
Upon arriving for our sailing, we were surprised at the lack of traffic in the port area. That might change for the remaining cruises though, as there will be debarking and embarking passengers.

I’ve tried the burritos at this stand for lunch yesterday. They’re delicious!!!
We still haven’t made it for lunch! We had to try Il Mercato, Chicken Shack, Pasta Bella… there are just so many options. Our goal is to try it Cabo day!

the wife and I are on the 5/7 sailing. BI is our favorite breakfast joint but i still have not tried the huavos rancheros
That’s awesome; please say hello!! And, yes, Blue Iguana is my personal fave - so I was soooo thankful that Tomodoro is a familiar (e.g., same) menu with burritos. You’ll definitely have to try breakfast in a week when you’re on board!! -mark
