I just got mine put together. They fixed the coming in separate shipments. Everything was in a crate, with the oil banded to the top. No issues. Glad to see after 2 years guys still liking them. Thanks for the video
Hey, there, frontyardfirewood! thanks for the update and your comment. I’m glad they figured that out. It’s definitely an improvement. Yes I’ve enjoyed that splitter. It’s really a powerhouse. I think you’ll find it the same. Please consider subscribing. Thanks - Joe.
Thanks doc! I’m pulling the trigger on same unit next week. Had reservations due to its origins but seems like everyone is happy with the unit. Yes sir I hit subscribe and gave it a thumbs up!
Hello Larry!, Thanks so much. Let me know how the assembly goes. It’s actually pretty straightforward. Just be sure you get the hydraulic oil filter put on before you fill it up. Consider the other modifications I suggested such as getting a bigger battery than they recommend and putting the easy drain tube to make oil change is easier. You have to change the oil in about five hours. Thanks Joe.
Your video popped back into my feed, My battery does not hold a charge anymore, but it pull starts super easy, i have the raven engine, its awesome starts right up, but have to turn fuel off after splitting tho, otherwise fuel pours out the exhaust sometimes. No joke. Engine will be beyond flooded. 😂 Valves seep hydro. Auto retract doesnt work anymore, i have tried adjusting the valves per ruggedmades video... worked for a while, and now its manual hold lever in retract mode. Broke the lever pins, broke the pot metal pins and the pot metal lever brackets. Kit is 25 bucks on the website, I made my own bracket and pins from sawzall blades and nails. 4 way wedge welds is cold roll/lapped and had bondo all over the welds to smooth them out..., still holding together however. No issues. Just cosmetic. I have run 100s of cords thru this machine tho. It is a work horse. I paid 5100 total shipped. My neighbor looked it up and the price has come down 700 bucks since i bought mine. Is it worth it? Yes. Would i buy one again? No. .. however i will have this splitter as a back up to either an eastonmade or wolfridge high end commercial machine. This machine is a good homeowner model or small business start up machine for sure.
Hello Volcan5678 Great question. No I have not done a video on extending the tongue of the splitter but believe me it is a really good idea. I took a 2 x 3“ tube 2 feet long and literally just welded it to the end of the existing tube, and then put two square plates on each one on each side weld it in to stabilize it.
Thanks for your question. I believe it is a 22 gallon 2 stage pump. This log splitter has to work very well for me, particularly with the modifications that I made to it. Consider subscribing. Thanks, Joe.
Sorry if my video was slow, but if you’re saying that the log splitter moves slowly, there’s no way to adjust that and actually it’s not too bad when you’re working with it. Consider subscribing. Thanks Joe.

What was the total price for your unit?
@@leovogelgesang4398 I don’t remember exactly what the price was because I bought it three years ago. I think it was less than $4000.
@@leovogelgesang4398 with the Honda motor with electric start and longer splitter ram I think about 5600$ but I may be off a bit.

I have a same splitter and it has worked great. I need to add the 2 feet to the hitch. Did you do a video on the hitch?
