    Hey Joe.. this was interesting.. But I was wondering why so many filters.. even a salt water water maker doesn't have as many.. Just curious. Wait 2 gallons waisted to one used.. that doesn't sound to smart to me.. unless of course that 2 gal. goes back to your water heater for showers, toilets and the like.. you should have explained that a bit more because it doesn't make sense to me.. Plus you should have tried the water at the end and given us a rating of your water now or your water measured against bottled water.. Well carry on my friend.. I like your ideas and the fact that you explore things like this for our benefit

    Hi Dr Joe Like you I have purchased and tried numerous grease couplers. The screw to lock is effective but a little slow! The more expensive (better quality, we hope)lever types are my pick. Have a lock n lube and find it good. They all seem to dribble a small quantity of annoying grease when disconnected.

    Thank you for your video. However, regarding 1:13 & 11:33, that 10 millimeter retaining nut is not "Nylon". Instead it is made of steel. This is because nylon is plastic and would be too soft to withstand the rigor of retaining the pivot bolt. You can verify that the nut is made of steel by confirming that a magnet is indeed attracted to the nut. On the other hand, nylon or plastic is not attracted by a magnet.

    • @JosephHunstad
      @JosephHunstad 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I used yours to build inspiration for mine...I cheated a little and found it a little and cut the bottom recesses as well as the top and bottom out with a CNC router. I designed a half circle and rectangular top mashup that I sawed in the middle like yours before drilling for the magnets. For those without a CNC using your method, you can easily replicate by running through a dado stack on end to square up the top recess...or with some patience, a single blade.

    Thanks for a great help. My old pad wore out and just put a new one. The bottom screws rot out after a while and it made the unit to fall off.

    I have a 2022 Rzr with the old terminal block in the same spot. I wonder if I can upgrade it to this pulse bar instead, and how difficult it would be.

    • @JosephHunstad
      @JosephHunstad 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You ask a great question. It should be easy to connect because it just needs a negative ground a positive power terminal and then the switched or blue terminal. What’s those three are connected your pulse bar is good to go and then you just need to find a good spot to mount it.when you remove the old block, take a look for those three wires. Those are key wires to connect to the pulse bar. Consider subscribing. Thanks. Joe.

    Hi doc, thanks for sharing, I just received my XL and I am building an enclosure for it. I am thinking on adding these feet to reduce vibrations. Did you notice a significant improvement? Thanks!

    • @JosephHunstad
      @JosephHunstad 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey man, I’m glad glad you got a printer. You’ll love it. The most important thing is to download the new firmware that’s reduced noise by 90%. The feet help but they’re modest they’re not huge but I like them so it’s another thing to help things, but the bottom line is the firmware is super critical. Thanks buddy. Have a good day. Take care. Joe.

    I see you are using the Encloxure I have the a 2 head which i upgraded to the 5 head i have been trying to print polycarbonate with the enclosure closed and found the high temps required for PC i get heat creep blockages that kill prints now where before the enclosure i mostly only had to deal with warping and problems related to that warping off of the bed.

    • @JosephHunstad
      @JosephHunstad 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you for your comment. Yes I like that enclosure a lot. It was fun to build and I use it continuously. I have not used polycarbonate so I can’t comment on that. Pelle and PETG work great. TPU or flex doesn’t work at all. I’m having a lot of trouble with that and I’m very frustrated. Do you have any TPU suggestions? I hope you can resolve your issue with polycarbonate. You could have just used a short piece of pipe to fill the gap in the angle iron, but if you have a welder everything looks like a welding job! I want to get one actually.

    • @JosephHunstad
      @JosephHunstad 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you for your comment. Yes you are absolutely right. I could’ve just put a piece of pipe there, but I have a welder and yes, it was an ideal welding job. It made an L turn into a square which was a perfect piece to mount the spare tire carrier on.get a welder it’s great. I don’t use it as much as I’d like to but boy is it handy and it’s a real fixer. The one pound canisters are well over built. The procedure used to refill the bottles is low risk in my opinion. The pressure in the 20lb tank as well as the 1 pound canisters is low. The tank structures can likely take thousands of pressure cycles. Look up the fatigue life of carbon steel. Everyone needs to assess their risk level and make their own choice.

    • @JosephHunstad
      @JosephHunstad 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      James, thank you for your comment. I totally agree with everything you said, but I had to put some caution caveats in my video description because of my worry of liability. The 1 pound cylinders are indeed very heavy duty and unless there’s some sort of trauma to the 1 pound bottle itself I have, no concern about refilling these. If there was an issue with the integrity of the 1 pound bottle for sure I would just toss it. Thanks again. Consider subscribing. Joe.

      Hello Harry. Thank you for your comment. Yes you’re right. Thx! Great video instructions. FYI, to remove the hydraulic unit, you don’t have to take all that stuff off. Just the cotter pin and the two side bolts. Raise the lift arm by hand, and then the hydraulic unit then just slips out the bottom.
