UPDATE: This video has been updated here th-cam.com/video/A_DF246uVlU/w-d-xo.html - the update covers the same content (and a little extra as it goes into the types of plants) but it also has improved drawings by Petunia and better audio from Pinky! This is one of our older videos! We have a few things to note. 1. As we mention in our classification video, classification is often changing as new evidence of relatedness is obtained. The most recent textbook sources we like to reference - such as the peer-reviewed OpenStax created by Rice University (openstax.org/books/biology-2e/pages/23-3-groups-of-protists ) still discuss green algae with protists and note that green algae share a recent common ancestor with land plants and are subdivided into Chlorophytes and Charophytes. However, we are aware there is discussion on this as a recent edition of the Campbell biology textbook (Urry, Lisa A, et al. Campbell Biology. 11th ed., New York, Ny, Pearson Education, Inc, 2017) mentions that "some systematists now advocate" placing them in "an expanded plant kingdom." As we mention in our "classification" video, the term "protists" is often not very specific. Please feel free to add sources for this discussion below. If we ever update this older video, it's likely we will mention this. 2. When saying the pine needles are thin - it's in respect to the surface area they have - but we don't want a misconception about the cuticle. In our updated video, we mention the cuticle is especially waxy in plants that must conserve water.

coronavirus- sends us to home school the teachers send us to this video then finally the Amoeba sisters get 616K subscribers! wow the world is messed up!
I'm a huge fan of plant biology, and I love the videos that you all produce. I think, I'm a little late to the party, just seeing when all the other comments were posted, but, still getting a thumbs up, and an addition to my favorites.
Great video! Because I grow carnivorous plants, everyone always asks me if they can eat humans. It means they have a good imagination, but not necessarily true. Keep up the good work!
Our science teacher showed us this in class today and i kept laughing because it was so funny and the drawings are so cute! I love this video and it was very helpful. Thankyou! I subscribed too i like your channel. :)
Awesome video! Already learned this stuff in 5th grade. But since you mentioned Xylem, whenever I go to restaurants, I eat celery. And I say this: "Xylem taste so good!" :)
At its core, Insomniac Games’ new adventure strives to make you feel like Spider-Man. And, thankfully, Marvel's Spider-Man on PS4 succeeds at nearly every swing across Manhattan’s rooftops. I was left delighted at nearly every step of its 15-hour adventure thanks to a surprisingly deep tale that mines the plights of both Spider-Man and Peter Parker to great emotional success. Underpinning that engrossing narrative is an excellent set of webswinging mechanics, which -- combined with fun gadgets and plenty of puns -- makes for thrilling action in both the massive setpieces and in the quiet, confined corridors of tense sequences. Insomniac’s first foray into the realm of Marvel superheroes is a continually exciting adventure whose open world and combat are only occasionally caught up in a web of overly familiar trappings. Swinging around feels, quite simply, spectacular. There’s a small learning curve, but after getting comfortable with the basics, it’s nearly effortless to make Spider-Man look graceful in every swing, leap, and lunge. And man does it feel good to find the right mix of jumping, crawling, web zipping, and wall running.
Can you please make a video on translocation in plants in depth? Also your mnemonics are very helpful, can upload a full list of them on several topics . Thank you.
mum: this isn’t science this is cartoons, sTuDy FoR YoUr SciEnCe TeStS me: tHiS is ScIeNcE DuH mum: Go to your room for saying DuH This was funnier in my head 😂🤔 Like this for no reason
isnt the plants food glucose after the plant transforms it from sugar? this is what my teacher told me, great vid bye the way. in fact, all your vids are good and very easy to understand. thx
Nathan Sueki Hi Nathan! In the beginning, we used MS Paint to draw all the pictures and Windows Movie Maker to make the video - both free and usually pre-installed on Windows computers. In our later videos (like this one) we used Camtasia as our new video editor, and in our last two videos, we have used Sketchbook to do draw the images. :)Thanks for watching!
Everyone who says that they were assigned to watch these type of clips are so lucky. Most of our teachers don't ever encourage us to look up online sources. We just traditionally learn from the textbooks most of the time which is so boring... These videos are so creative and fun to watch and not to mention, they are also so informative, I love them!

correct.
plants originally produce a G3P which can then be converted into glucose after 6 times the cycle has been run.

This has nothing to do with the video but what do you use to make your illustrations? what do you use to combine them to make a video?
