We like to pin clarifications or corrections to our videos! Our audio had a statment that said "pollen is the sperm of the plant," but we *should* have said "pollen *gives rise* to the sperm of the plant" ---as later on at 5:26---you can see the generative cell (within the pollen) giving rise to sperm cells. Pollen is the male microgametophyte that makes sperm. With TH-cam's updated snip feature, we were able to snip this sentence out of our audio. We appreciate the feedback we received on this!
The Amoeba sisters helped me through Biology class! My professors should've just played these instead of going through boring Powerpoints. I find these videos SO much easier to understand than whatever I read in textbooks. Thank you Amoeba Sisters!!!
I really appreciate how creatively this entire video was done -- not only are the drawings highly informative, adorably funny at some parts, and demonstrate the lesson clearly --but they're also quite beautifully done.
Absolutely amazing Videos! You guys are explaining concepts simply and brilliantly. Thank you so much for sharing and taking the time to produce these clips!
Oh my god thank you thank you thank you thank you! I didn't get a thing in class, literally this video saved my life. What would I do without you? You guys are just great at this, I love you
Wonderful! I think I learned this at some point in school but it melted out of my brain. I'm growing all different kinds of peppers now--- which do self-pollinate, but need a little help if they're grown inside--- and this really refreshed my memory on what exactly needs to happen. Thank you for a great video!
Thank you so much, this helped clarify an entire chapter. The biggest question I had was answered in the end which was about the self pollination of the plant. Keep up the great work !
Thank you so much! I take online bio, and so each lesson takes about 2 hours because of the amount of notes I have to take. This video really helped to summarize what 16 hours of online bio attempted to teach. It makes it seem so simple, and I actually enjoy it!
Can you please make a video on Alternation of Generations? I'm pretty confused on the subject and I know you guys can help me. Your explanations are always clear and easy to understand.
Do you have a video about alterations of generations in plants? You should make one if you don't, your videos are so helpful to my students and I used them to help me study for the MOCA biology exam.
Thank you! I'm taking botany at university right now and i was so confused for so long. I was so focused on trying to understand and memorize all the details I completely missed how the whole process actually worked. This really set my understanding straight.
Pretty SWEET story about the barbecue. Your stories always BEE so entertaining. Does the other amoeba sister ever speak? In what video can we hear from Purpie?
It’s 22:10 and I have a N.S. test tomorrow on plant and human reproduction and I really don’t feel like getting off my iPad ._. So I looked up plant reproduction on TH-cam and actually feel proud and good because I’m still studying, just on my iPad!
Thanks for making this easy for me to understand. I'm in Grade 7 and I have to finish my study guide and I'm on this topic. This video made it quite easy for me😁. ThankQ😇
I wish i had you guys when I was in school. I really struggled to learn this when i was doing GCSE's... Thanks for another great video :) was really happy to see you pop up in my subs list
A wasp bit me in my toe two days back late at night . Somehow, their nest had fallen down and I was outside dismantling our swing . It was the sharpest sting ever cause I guess the toe skin is pretty thin and it pained a lot and I was literally jumping on one foot and cussing all the time loud enough to gather our neighbour's attention . BUT I remembered reading in one of my textbooks that a wasp's sting is basic in nature so I run inside hopping on one leg all the time and grab the glass bottle of vinegar(Acetic acid) go outside again and empty the whole damn bottle on my toe . So if a bite is basic you apply acid . In case of a honey bee it has an acidic bite so you apply a suitable base like baking soda which i available in most kitchens . The area did not swell up at all and I did scrub my toe with lots of soap and water and didn't even take the sting out and still its same as the other leg . Nothing happened and for sure vinegar worked
Thank you very much, i am doing a project on this and our teacher gave us no prior knowledge this was a very easy to understand and informative video. Thank You

Can I ask a doubt ?
Though hibiscus have all reproductive organs it doesn't bear fruits. Why?

@@worldoffun1384 interesting… what is the “fruit” of the reproductive organs of mosses? 😀

I love how you guys have made biology so easy and fun keep up the good work
Once again, the Amoeba Sisters provide the most relatable explanation for a biology concept...
So we basically eat the ovaries of flowers when we are eating fruit. COol
Once again, they simplified what had been muddled and "obfuscated" by others. Thanks, Amoeba Sisters!
This helped me alot on where all these terms are coming from, im more or a visual learning and this was so helpful ! THANKS!!!!
Great video guys. I'm Studying FOR My DAT for dental school and this video was very helpful. Fun and informative! Thank you!

Rae B Hi I'm studying for my DAT too! I'm taking it in a month. Did you take it already? Did you get a good score in the biology section? :)
