    Got my a7sIII few weeks ago and today my cage arrived. This thing feels very solid. Your review really helped to make my decision to buy this :)

    Can the top handle be mounted on the left side for portrait video?

    • @1FLASHstudios
      @1FLASHstudios  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, but on the battery grip side. It will not be centered to the lens.

    Can you say how thick is bottom part (talking about that part under camera at 06:18)? Thinking about this cage, but I also want to add my QV-1 LCD Viewfinder which has another plate, it connects same way you did with base plate, so I wonder if this viewfinder still fits on this cage.

      hey! just measured and the cage thickness under the camera should be under 11mm (milimeters). I would say 10, but I've measured using a tape measure, so 11 just to be safe ;)

      @@1FLASHstudios That is a power of smaller TH-camrs, thank you for your answer! Looks like it might be good for my viewfinder. I'm filming most of my stuff outside, so I can't live without it. To be honest, I don't have A7SIII yet, I'm planning to buy it next week, because my old A7III has problems with microphone and headphone jacks way too often. Imagine, it's already 3rd time these things stopped working for me so I'm looking for upgrade. A7SIII isn't new camera, but would be stupid to thing that this camera is "bad" just because it's 3 years old. Didn't use any cages with A7III, but I always wanted bigger grip, I think camera should be more comfortable to hold with that extra grip, what do you think about this after testing it more?

      I'm sure you'll enjoy the A7SIII! Tbh about the grip, the premium cage feels... more premium. But the cheap basic one kinda feels better in my hand, a bit more comfortable for me. Anyway, either of them aren't a bad choice 👍
      Thank you!

    Does this help with camera stability? I do a lot of gym edits?

    • @1FLASHstudios
      @1FLASHstudios  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      it might give you a better grip on the camera, but better get some handles for it, or even better, a gimbal 👍

      @@1FLASHstudios great thank you and you for getting back to me, I’m going to order the rhino cage for my A7iV now with the top grip and side handle grip 😁😁

      @@musclemanmontystability goes like this
      Gimbal / easy rig
      Slow motion
      Shoulder rig / handheld .
      If you want a handheld look or itis easier for you to shoot, ( gimbals require a lot of hassle ) , try building a rig. Weight will keep your center Of gravity low , micro jitters wont show up in your video since it is “ harder “ to jitter a 4 kilogram rig than a 1 kilogram one. So handles ofc help , especially top handles and a v mount battery as bonus weight , monitor and so on. Top handles are really cool, take a look when you get it , try to mount it in reverse. Sometimes ( deepnds on camera ) reversing the top handle is actually a better grip and has a better center of gravity. Try to hold it with your hand but dont flex your wrist, see if its pointing downwards or straight.

    I hate that it did not work with my A1 😢

      Hey! Sorry to hear that. Maybe with some diy or some grinding it will work? 🤔

      @@1FLASHstudios is just that the A1 have that shutter mode wheel at the left side and the cold shoe is too low so 🤷🏻‍♂️

    When you're trying to do a product review/showcase video, it's really dumb to use such a shallow depth of field. A lot of times part of your product is in focus and another part is out of focus.
    You may think it's cool to use F1.2 recording TH-cam videos but it's working against you if you can't get your entire product in focus.

      yep, totally agree! but you know, we learn from our mistakes. ✌️ i've managed to find the proper cam + lighting settings in the studio since i've posted this video to avoid this issue 👍
