Hey really nice video. My keyboard power button and some of the other keys stopped working and i can't start my laptop from keyboard is there any way to start it from motherboard
Does anyone know what screw driver is required to unscrew the one that's all the way on the right in the middle? I was able to use the same screw driver to take out literally every screw except for that one. So i can't take the back off because there's one screw that won't come out. I've tried to find out what exact screws the laptop uses but haven't found any answers.
Any chance you'd give some insight on how one would change the fans on this model? I have an issue where a fan is giving out and vibrating / failing to spin properly, I want to replace it myself but from what I can see it looks like those heatsinks are locking the fans in place and I think I wouldn't be able to replace the fan because of them?

Hey my laptop was working just fine and then it stopped charging. Like it wouldnt charge at all. The battery was overdue for a calibration so i dont know if thats why. Would u recommend changing the battery?

Hey, cant quite open the case up. You seem to not find it struggling, i think because its been opened in the past. How do i open it up without damagin anything, thats what im afraid of doing - accidentally messing it up.
For what it's worth, I broke the virginity seal on my gf76 today, and for anyone reading, if you follow the instructions order of where he starts -> moves on to exactly (I used a small, triangular pry tool), you'll open it up no problem. Trickiest was at rear near the heat fins, it's tough to see where you gottah pry. But my man's video was SPOT on Much appreciation and respect for homie making this video

I have the same computer but the biggest isue of this computer that I have that it's cpu overheats. I dont know if it's of the liquid being dry or if the fans don't do enough work. But while I play games on it and if the fps or graphics are way too much for the computer to handle it starts to flick. What I mean the screen just starts to flick black and back to the game and again back to black and it does that till i change the fps and graphics. Well it seems it's reallly hard to get the cpu out and reattach with new liquid. P.S. I'm kinda a newbie at computers so what I mean by liquid it's a special one that glues the cpu. I have no idea what it's called. But thank you for the video that you made a year ago lol. It was helpfull!

I have to use an external keyboard with mine. I bought a replacement keyboard, but I have yet to see any way to install it. What were they thinkng when they designed this laptop? If you try to remove individual keys to clean it.. forget it, they break very easily.
I wound up buying a new motherboard! The ethernet port was not reliable, one speaker ws buzzing, and the battery would not keep a charge for more than 3 minutes. When the Katana is operating as it should, it is great, but it is too fragile and falls apart quickly. Also, the keyboard cannot be repaired, and is hell to replace.

It's interesting that for the 2023 GF76 Katana I see M.2 PCIe 2280 slot is suggested. I've got that from the vendor's specs though not sure it that's correct.

How would you like it if I took your computer completely apart just to make a video for others, when all you asked me to do was reinstall windows? There are risks involved. Where can I find that thick thermal pad for the m.2? All the ones I find are really thin.

The 3060 model has 2 nvme slots.
I now have both M2 and SSD. Work great both of them. 512 GB each.
