Canada 🇨🇦 has been dominating this tournament for a while, and yet tons of Canadian players don’t get looked at for NCAA football. As a Football Coach in Canada 🇨🇦 I try my best to get Players looked at.
Before anyone overreacts, please hear me out. 1st, my background - I am an American who has lived in Japan for nearly 40 years. I know Japanese culture, language and thinking VERY well. I have been going to watch the Japanese semi-pro X League football games for 15 seasons now. They got good players who play in the CFL, but they are not main players in the CFL, but rather 3rd string and or practice squad members. 2nd - This is an Under 20 international tournament, not a top level tournament. 3rd - This Japanese team consists of a mixture of Japanese kids who have lived most of their lives in the USA, and, American kids who have a Japanese ethnic background, and, are mixed race kids with dual Japanese and American citizenship. Only some on this Japanese team have true blue Japanese citizenship as in Japanese guys born and raised in Japan only. 4th - This so-called American team consists of guys who at best may play at the NCAA division 3 level, but I suspect some or most of them are at the junior college tech level, or, are guys who played high school ball and this is their last rodeo. Seriously, but look at how out of shape some of those guys are and their lack of athleticism. Plus the coaching on the U.S. side is miserable. 5th - In saying all that, the Japanese are getting better at football, period. There is no doubt about it. I suspect it won't be too long to where we will see a Japanese guy from Japan who will play in the NFL. It may or may not happen in my lifetime, but it is coming. I guarantee. it. 6th - The Japanese never give up. Never. One should never under any circumstances underestimate the Japanese, ever. The Japanese could be getting blown out in any kind of sporting event but you would never know it because they never give up until the very end of the game, ever. What that means is that we are witnessing live from year to year, decade to decade how the Japanese have been getting better and better at football. Decades ago it was just a dream of the Japanese to have a Japanese citizen to play in the NFL and now it is becoming a reality. Again, it will happen, but it is just a matter of time. 6th - If the U. S. had put a respectable team out there on the field, we would see different results. But the fact of the matter is that the U.S. is hodge podge at best and the Japanese team looked really good at this Under 20 level. They looked sharp, practiced, serious, and ready to play. The U.S. looked abysmal. Yet, in saying that despite the U.S. being a ragtag team, they still scored 20 on a better Japanese team. 6th - So what does that mean? It means, as I said before, that that Japanese have CERTAINLY improved at playing football over the years, but I can guarantee that if the U.S. had put a well organized, well-coached USA team out there that the U.S team would win handily. There is not question about it. But, it is what it is and the Japanese are taking this tournament (as all tournaments of any sport ) seriously and the U.S. is not. Japan deserved this win and the U.S. had better re-think their approach to any internamtional tournament that we play in. ( I am sick and tired of the U.S. putting out an inferior product when it comes to football, baseball to give the opposing teams a leg up. It is frankly nauseating. )

A lot of them don’t even play division one. Now there is a guy I heard from New Jersey that visited Ruckers and a Notre Dame commit but these are highschoolers. I will give Japan credit or credit is due though they are catching up in football. They wanted it more, but this is not a representation of what American football really is over here. The USA under 20 team hasn’t won this tournament in quite a while. Better than pearl harbor 😂
We got to beat them in karate now
Either they send the right players are they should get rid of the whole thing there's no way that team deserves to represent the USA. The u17 basketball team send the top players and they are 50 and 0. And they win by 60 point.
This sounds like a scam😂
Shameful. Do better, Team USA!
Wow
Let’s just be honest, the world has caught up to the USA
Physically yes, but if it weren’t for the USA constant search for new and better athletes in foreign places than none of these countries would be good
no the united states did not have their best players playing.
Yes, because you have a bunch of international (American) football players playing at SEC schools
You're serious aren't you?
That USA team had nobody stop.
NCAA players aren't allowed to compete for Team USA. These guys aren't even D3 vs Japan's top talent.
japan's top talent would be the equivalent of high school football players in usa lol american football is not even top 10 most popular sports in japan. how could you lose to a country that doesn't consider american football a priority? thats like any european country losing to usa in soccer lol
Easy.. USA uderestimated these teams…
Wdf is tackle football smh
Not important. The whole world knows these players aren't NFL players. NFL is a different beast.
Manny Matakis
I can say the US really lose on their own game.
That was for Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Yup... that was truly for Hisroshima and Nagasaki
Are the Japanese starting to get serious about football?
Go watch the game Holtz coached back in the day. Ever since then, they’ve been serious!
American sports are going down
highlights on my channel 💯
This. Can’t. Happen. Again.
USA U20 football crooked as poo….
Biden football team.
Blasphemous
I don’t know if America realises that if the rest of the world played gridiron as much as America, the USA would not even be top 5 in the world..
Is rugby and league boys would be laughing all the way to the inzone😂
If the rest of the world played as much football as America, then the rest of the world's talent in other sports would plummet. That's how it works, and we already utterly dominate the Olympics in general so I wonder how much more dominant we'd be if other countries were less dedicated to all those other sports.
Borraron comentarios los gringos🤣🤣🤣
r a c i s t comments are unaccpetable
Our players are trash!!!

American football is a minor sport in Japan Lol So don't worry, no one is interested in Japan.
then how could you lose to them lol shouldn't usa have dominated them then? i dont think they even have high school football teams in japan
Their national Championship Game has 20-30.000 in attendance
That's not nothing
Boring shows….
