When I saw the first episode I thought this guy must be crazy, why a dawoo? In my country we would throw those away, not even worth $100... then I kept watching, I saw your story how it was your fathers.. I kept seeing points where I would have given up or quit, especially with all that rust. But you kept going more and more, that’s very inspirational. It’s funny in Australia we take things for granted, but you reuse everything. I respect that, I respect that a lot. I actually love watching this restoration now, it’s so interesting. I wish you the best of luck, I know the car means a lot to you, and I hope you’ll keep it forever once restored!

@@jusb1066 Nope, they are, they stated that in another video. It used to belong to one of their fathers, that's why they're putting that much effort into it when otherwise it probably wouldn't make economic sense. Also note it says "Restoration" in the title.
Andrew Tornadoboy, I am doing a 1974 Ford Cortina and your comment about "irreparable" made me laugh, as some said the same about my car when the First video went on my channel, the rust on mine was far worse than what these guys have, but over time mine came back to a mint shell, (hard to believe when you see what we started with), so have just bought a second one to also restore, that no one wanted to do, and it was far better than the first!!, so you might find my channel worth a look, I am loving this one, all the cables. pipes makes my refit to come look easy!!!. these guys have a challenge ahead!!!.
@Robert Phipps Some might take on a project like that just for the challenge and well earned bragging rights if they're successful, but yeah generally speaking 99% of the time people would pass on this one if it didn't have sentimental value. @Cortinaman63 I've taken on the supposed irreparable occasionally too, although not cars. Someone once gave me a coin operated arcade game called "Bump 'N' Jump" that had literally sat out in the elements in his back yard for well over a decade and before that in someone's wet basement for god knows how long. The bottom of the particle board cabinet (which is what most arcade games were made of) had completely disintegrated into what looked like moldy oatmeal and the rest was swollen and disgusting. Anyway I used the old cabinet as a template to make a new one and in the end I was able to save maybe 20% of the wood parts as some of the few plywood parts were still savable, 100% of the wiring, 0% of the original artwork sadly though reproductions are available, the monitor which fortunately had been taken out and kept indoors, coin doors and mechs, 100% of the game controls and about 90% of the metal parts. Still haven't gotten around to fixing the circuit boards as they were pretty corroded but I should be able to save them too, so basically in the end I've got what now looks like a brand new game. Unfortunately while I took photos I don't have any video to post of it.
First off......don’t care what anybody says.......this is awesome! Yes you could get a working one for next to nothing in Europe but the whole point of this channel is to restore and reuse so what better thing to do than a whole car! In Europe we throw to much away, and while this is as far to the extreme as you can go, it does prove that most thing still have a life if your prepared to get your hands dirty and do some hard work. Good luck and i hope you get it running 👍
