It cracks me up that you worry about the way you say names when everyone else on youtube talks about how you are the only one that pronounces things right and they don't know how you do it!
i had new growth on both of my hoya kerii this summer once i put in a stake for them to climb! since doing that both of mine have shot up their tendrils and have started rooting to the stake. mine are both in a north facing window that gets ambient light all day long. i hope this helps!! keep up the amazing work!! 🙌🌱
Hi Nick! Oh my, what a nice Hoya collection! I'm in the process of growing my Hoya collection. In fact, I have two Carnosa Krimson Princess Rubra's, one Lacunosa and a Publicalyx arriving today. I'm so excited, can't wait for them to arrive! Thank you for sharing! Also, I love all of your videos and look forward to the next one!
Love your Hoya tour. Am amazed at how you are able to put all these plants together and care for them. The amount and variety of plants you have given the limited space you have is awesome.
What an amazing collection of not just Hoyas but all your plants you have around your house. Would love to see a video of you doing maintain and watering of your plants. How you handle it especially with all those plants. 😁💚🌱
Hi Nick, My plant heart is definitely satisfied after watching your video! I have only recently started collecting hoyas, after taking the succulent route first... But so glad I've moved to include these beauties.. My favourite at the moment is Hoya Linearis, she has grown so well for me that i HAVE to take cuttings to keep her in check! Also when you touch the cascading leaves with your cheek, its like soft hair.... My cuttings in case you need some are on ebay.. I live in France, just taken some extra long ones yesterday as she was growing over and into my succulent plants. Thanks for your video, it starts my day just right x
I'm not sure I need any more motivation to buy more plants but I love watching your videos. So many great plants out there. I also didn't realize how many Hoya plants I already had until watching this video. I must have a certain type I like without realizing it. What I do want is the perfect plant to grow in my bathroom inside the shower. There must be a plant (I'm thinking a staghorn fern) that would like the lower light humid environment.
Just inherited my great grandmothers Hoya ( I believe some sort of carnosa cultivar, but i'm not 100% since its never flowered as far as anyone knows ) this video was very helpful! thank you :)
Hi Nick, Just purchased a 4" retusa isn't acclimating so well. Yellowing and lost some leaves. Soil was compacted, so I repotted it to find wet compacted soil and out of 6 cuttings only 4 had very fine shallow roots. The 2 that had no roots were the yellow ones. Any lighting and growing suggestions would be helpful, just hope it recovers...such a cute unique plant, wish it were as healthy looking as yours🌱💚Thanks for the knowledge and because of you I LOVE knowing the latin names of plants.😉
Beautiful selection of Hoya’s! I have had my 3 Kerii’s for about a year, green, variegated, and splash. All are in an area with east and some southern exposure. I live in the SoCal desert so extremely dry most of the year. Have lots of new growth on the green and the splash. The variegated has also but much slower. Hope that helps!
Thanks. 🙏 Your videos are so relaxing, and I’m learning so much! I didn’t even know about hoyas until I discovered this channel. Now I may just get one! Best!
I would love to see a video on your current struggling plants - plants you are actively treating for pests, or that are giving you real trouble for one reason or another. How often do you treat infested plants? Do you isolate them, and by how much? What signs let you know there was a problem and that you needed to look more closely? What about fungal/bacterial problems? I find there are a lot of important, real-world details that often don't get covered in pest treatment videos and I'd love to see your approach.
Loving the Hoya tour! One of my favorite plant families right now. Love the diversity of the foliage. I have definitely found the same thing with my Hoyas that you mentioned. They seem to take a while to acclimate & put out new growth for sure. I’ve found it’s definitely a month or two at least usually.
What a beautiful Hoya collection, thank you for the tour! I am glad I came across you today, just subscribed, looking forward to more gardening videos!
Thank you for these collection tours! Big box stores near me stick ‘beautiful home decor’ tags on the unique plants. I’ve been able to shop by sight thanks to you ❤️
I only have three, and in Catalonia, where I live, it's a very difficult plant to get. I buy them in Germany. I love them so much. Thank you for the great information you gave me in this video about all those amazing tipes of hoyas.
Hi Nick, really enjoyed your Hoya plant tour! Hoya is my favorite plant genus. I would love to know how you manage pests on your plants. I'm currently fighting spider mites in my home. They are the most tenacious pest I have encountered so far😱
Glad to learn Hoya curtisii likes more moisture than most because I got a hanging basket of it at Home Depot today and hooboy did it come MOISTURIZED. 😰
I love this tour! Btw I’m someone who commented about the “ng” and “song” pronunciation. No need to avoid that plant or apologize for mispronouncing! I literally dated someone for THREE YEARS with the last name Nguyen and it took two of those years for me to figure out how to correctly pronounce his last name LOL. It’s definitely a tricky combo in our culture so don’t stress it imo
I wish my husband and kids would allow my house to look like yours....completely plant covered. One day..... 🤞 I LOVE & envy your apartment! Beautiful! Last week we had multiple flies in our house and my husband said, "they probably think they're outside." Ughhhh. 🙄😄
Hi Nick! Beautiful collection, thanks for sharing. A suggestion for your davidcummingii: it thrives in semi-hydro. I struggled with mine, but after checking Doug Chamberlain's recommendation on the species I transplanted it, and its growing bonkers ever since, even though its the dead of winter here!
Always enjoy your videos! Your personality is just always quirky funny. U are clearly witty and low key sarcastic. I always find myself laughing while watching your videos - never at you, at what you say. Its soooo cute. Looking forward to your aroid edition!
Love the tour! you have an amazing hoya collection! The macrophylla's tendrills are amazing on yours! I get load of peduncles on the tendrils but they tend to stay small and stagnant :(
The correct name for Hoya weebella is Hoya vaccionides. ☺️ And the Hoya australis is Hoya australis ssp tenuipes. You have beautiful hoyas! I have had a Hoya Iris Marie that covered my whole ceiling! That is one easy hoya and the flowers are pretty!
I would love to see a complete walk through of your entire home and plant collection. Is that something you would consider doing? I don't believe you did that and I apologize if I missed it. if so, let me know so I can go back to watch it. Love your videos.
Hi Nick! How are you? Thanks for the Hoya Heaven Video! Love Hoyas and have a lot in my collection. Do you sell a lot of Hoyas at your work, The Urban Jungle? I am 2 hours away from Philly so maybe a day trip there soon. Have a good one, Gerry 😎
I love the hindu rope especially variegated. I'm surprised you dont have one I was just waiting for you to pull out the most beautiful big variegated and non variegated hindu ropes I've ever seen... unless I missed it because I did do some fast forwarding.
Roby Tatti Sarasota, mine have been outside, are established and used to cooler temps. I bring them in if gets into the low 40s or cover the ones I can’t bring in. Any sensitive babies I always bring in. I don’t like to take chances. Lol.
Krimson Queens are probably one of the most "standard" hoyas but still up there as one of my favorite. And I collect them all and have some rarer ones. I still hoard my queens.
Enjoy your videos love your hoyas i am up to hmmm 85 hoyas wanted to ask as i see you have them in soil do you get gnats ? I seen a few and i transfered several hoyas in leca i also ordered lechuza i just want to minimize gnats and other possible insects thx
Can you do a video where you do a question and answer. Answer questions like why you love plants and when you started collecting etc. It’s nice to know the person behind the plants.
Krimson Queen and Princess don't get enough love imo. If they weren't so easy to grow/prop I believe they'd be one if the crazy overpriced plants people are loosing their minds over right now. They're just the perfect plants. Easy care, pretty flowers, consistent variegation, all white tendrils, grows pretty fast in the right conditions, they can trail, they can climb. Once they get big and take over a trellis and spill over the pot there are very few other plants that are as beautiful or dramatic (visually) than these. So if anyone is debating getting one because they're kind of "basic" don't, because they are everything but. Sorry for the rant!
Hey Nick, I watch you all the time. So appreciate your knowledge on plants and many planters mention your name on TH-cam. Here in NY at night right now its in the 40's, What will you be doing over there in Penn when this kind of temperature hits your plants. Curious to know and perhaps I can use some of your techniques to protect plants from cold drafts. Keep it up Dude. You are in my prayers.
Nick, do you adjust the time your grow lights are on as the seasons change? I have lights on my tropical plants and my succulents/cacti and I don’t know what, if anything, I should do. I would appreciate any advice you might offer. Love’n your channel.
Hello Nick, thank you for sharing your beautiful plants. I love seeing them and hearing you talk about them. Can you please tell me what is the speckled plant in the background at about 17:22. Is that the Aspidistra Elatior Milky Way?
I have a carnosa tricolour, and it is sending out two major tendrils that have entirely white leaves. About 10 totally white leave, I know they don't have chlorophyll....idk if they like obtain it over time. Are they just sucking energy and not creating any? Should I remove them? There are other tendrills with green.
great content. i live in a high desert area and need help seeking out good plants for indoor growing. a lot of these low light plants do better in higher humidity. our indoor humidity in the winter, the wet season, is under 30%. we had a heat wave that dropped it to single digits. and I am not interesting in going out of my way to fight that. i have some ok east facing windows, good west facing, and one south facing window. I have plans for that... its at the stair case, so i want to get some vines going. i have a prayer plant that has been doing very well, so its not that dry.
hi nick: i'm new to your series and am enjoying your plants and your knowledge of all varieties. when i was a kid i worked in a very large greenhouse that covered acres of property in carlstadt, n.j. it closed after years of functioning because they said of the pollution in the area and moved to central jersey in the 60's. i find it remarkable that you know the latin names of the plants and it rolls off your tongue like fluid. i used to use common names of plants. maybe you can help me with a name of a hoya that i am looking for--it is a variegated leaf and the shape of the leaf is kinda squarish or kite-like. i've looked all over the internet for a photo of it and came up empty. i saw one in one of your past videos and of course, i don't know which one, but being way older now one tends to forget a little. i think it was on a bedroom shelf. if you can help me identify it, i would appreciate it. could it have been a peperomia? thanks, carmine petracca.
It cracks me up that you worry about the way you say names when everyone else on youtube talks about how you are the only one that pronounces things right and they don't know how you do it!
Your home is so lush! Your a pleasure to listen to first thing in the morning. Thank you for your videos.
i had new growth on both of my hoya kerii this summer once i put in a stake for them to climb!
since doing that both of mine have shot up their tendrils and have started rooting to the stake.

Thanks for showing your collection of Hoyas, it is a pleasure to see the way you care and enjoy them; I feel good

Love the way how your plants are arranged. Shows the amount of time spend tending to these plants.

Hey Nick! Awesome video. You are very talented
Such a beautiful Hoya collection 😍 Thank you for sharing
Love this collection, your splashes are my fave. I know they're not an official species but hey! Gotta enjoy what you enjoy
Hi Nick,
Just purchased a 4" retusa isn't acclimating so well. Yellowing and lost some leaves. Hoyas are my favourite, beautiful plants 🌱💖
Thanks. 🙏 Your videos are so relaxing, and I’m learning so much! I didn’t even know about hoyas until I discovered this channel. Now I may just get one! Best!
Your plants are beautiful. How much time do you spend watering all of your plants?

Thanks Nick :) Always so knowledgeable and now i am going to start adding some Hoya plants to indoor collection.

Nick why no Hoya carnosa compactas??? Or Hoya polyneuras?
I wish my husband and kids would allow my house to look like yours....completely plant covered. One day..... 🤞 I LOVE & envy your apartment! Beautiful!
Last week we had multiple flies in our house and my husband said, "they probably think they're outside." Ughhhh. 🙄😄

Love the varieties, but my favorite is the Hindu Rope plant!😃
I was wondering if he had that too!
Love your Hoya collection! Thank you for the video!

So now I have a list of Hoyas to look for.... thankyou!!
Do you have a video on pilea? I have a caderei and peperomioides had a silver sparkle but murdered it. The Norfolk one. Wanna know more varieties.
Great Hoya tour Nick. Thank you. Hoyas are my favorite too. Im in Florida so most of mine grow outside.
Lera Juno where in Florida? I am in north Florida. I brought all my hoyas inside when it started to be colder that 50 at night.
Roby Tatti Sarasota, mine have been outside, are established and used to cooler temps. I bring them in if gets into the low 40s or cover the ones I can’t bring in. Any sensitive babies I always bring in. I don’t like to take chances. Lol.
Lera Juno oh you are more south. I am in Tallahassee. I know some people leave them outside my mom included but I was worried.
Krimson Queens are probably one of the most "standard" hoyas but still up there as one of my favorite. And I collect them all and have some rarer ones. I still hoard my queens.
Hoyas scare me. They all have different needs. But...after watching this I think I will try one. They are ALL beautiful.
Enjoy your videos love your hoyas i am up to hmmm 85 hoyas wanted to ask as i see you have them in soil do you get gnats ? I seen a few and i transfered several hoyas in leca i also ordered lechuza i just want to minimize gnats and other possible insects thx
I have 3 wayetii's and they BOTH have mealies. It's like that particular type loves them.
Aww amazing Hoya collection 🥰🤩🌿
Can you do a video where you do a question and answer. Answer questions like why you love plants and when you started collecting etc. It’s nice to know the person behind the plants.
That syngonium unknown is beautiful!

impressive collection of beautiful hoyas 💕💕
Love your Hoya collection, I just started collecting them. Just wondering where do you get/buy your hoyas, thanks
Beautiful Hoya collection ❤️
Thanks for the tour. I've also heard and seen a hoya minibelle. And it's weird because the leaves are bigger then the hoya bella.
What is the plant between the lacunosa and ladybug in your bedroom?
6:25 what light is shining on them? I'd love to get something like that!
What is the variegated plant growing behind your hoya ban ngong ngoy? So beautiful 🥰
Love your collection!

Enjoyed your video very much. Very informative. You are a plant lover for sure!! Someone else like me. 🪴🌿
Gorgeous collection.
Where do you get your cute round clay pots? I love them so much! :)
The collection is so beautiful
Can you do a new hoya tour/ update? Anything growing/ blooming or could you state what has bloomed for you?
I see you have two Orbifolia plz tell us your tips and tricks! How much light? Water? Do you use humidifier? Etc... please
Literally went from zero hoyas to 6 within a couple weeks haha, love your videos!
Nick, do you adjust the time your grow lights are on as the seasons change? I have lights on my tropical plants and my succulents/cacti and I don’t know what, if anything, I should do. I would appreciate any advice you might offer. Love’n your channel.
Have you got the Hoyas to bloom?
Hello Nick, thank you for sharing your beautiful plants. I love seeing them and hearing you talk about them.
Can you please tell me what is the speckled plant in the background at about 17:22.
Is that the Aspidistra Elatior Milky Way?
Bendiciones con todas. Sus plantas de Hoya hermosas.
Hermosas. Todas
What do you use to clear mealy bugs on your Hoya?
Hi Nick, do you know how many plants you have? Enjoy your videos 😀
One of the "desirable" hoyas you did not seem to have is the Indian Rope. Is there a reason? I love mine and want the variegated one some day.
Why should I be worried if a leaf comes out fully white? Is it trying to say something?
Do you have any linearis or care tips for it?
I have a bunch of different pubicalyx and one of mine is on one of those tiny chairs too!

What causes the scaring on the wayettii?
@nickpileggi What article are you referring to? I try to look for information on the different species and I can’t find any.
Awesome tour..I need retusa and that weebella now....u trouble maker...lol...hugs
Eu fico encantada com suas plantas são muito lindas!!!
I got a Chelsea Hoya and it is beautiful
no hoya imbricata?
where did you get the grow light under the shelf? do you have a link by chance? im looking for a strip grow light like that for my shelves!!
Sounds like he said it is a Modern Sprout grow bar. They look to be readily available online for around $100.
You can get an LED grow strips for your shelves then your Hoya Publicalyx can stay on its throne. 😁
Got to love the name Krinkles Tinkles!!!!
So funny, don’t come for me! U r so cute! No Hindu rope? I have a Tricolor carnosa that is so beautiful! Enjoyed your video💚
The word of the day is "Splashy".
