Yeah, it’s just the three of them… no wait, at 4:33 and everywhere else too, vocally it’s only one of them. Jonah. And his riff at the beginning - unreal. (Aron and Henrik singing is just a spoof for the camera :) I love how that chorus at the end opens up and takes you high…. All three are superlative musicians, and this is a masterpiece ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would absolutely love more Dirty Loops reactions on your channel! ☺️👍
Great reaction! Thanks! My favorite band! Saw them two times live now - and they pull all this off with a smile. They are just three really great guys and awesome musicians.
Recently saw Dirty Loops interviewed by Rick Beato, the master. Not only are they incredibly talented musicians, but they're super nice, laid-back, almost innocent young men. They have quite a career ahead of them.
Thanks for doing this one. My favorite performers: Dirty Loops, Dimash, the entire Ren-o-verse, Snarky Puppy and VoicePlay. The only thing they have in common is outrageous talent w/ skills to match, and a total disregard for genre. They make me so happy. Dirty Loops knew each other in music school, all were session musicians and decided to get together to play the way they wanted to, the "stuff that would get them fired" as session musicians. So yeah, they are having FUN. They're on tour right now, managed by Quincy Jones.
6:36 How can you not be crazy happy when you are in the middle of producing these collective soundscapes? I can't tell which one I prefer as favourite, Rock You, or Follow The Light.
Fun fact: Jonah comes from a choir family and he did all the vocals and layers for this song, overdubbing himself imagining being different types of singers and personalities of a gospel choire. The switching of instruments in the video is just for poos and giggles. 😅
These guys met a music school in Stockholm Sweden and realized they liked the same kind of music. They began rearranging songs from like the '80s and more contemporary with Adele, Britney Spears and uploaded them here on TH-cam. Needless to say they went super viral and more or less everyone in the biz were singing their praises! After some intense years they took a long break but came back in 2021 with new material. During the spring and summer they have been touring Europe!
Jonah Nilsson does all the backing and harmony vocals himself. The others are shown singing, just for the video. What a full sound with Jonah's vocals and his remarkable keyboard parts. They are so inventive and so very skilled.
This was the song I first heard from DL and it has turned me into a devoted fan. Such a good time watching you two react to this. A real delight. Thanks for the share!!!
They are three mates from music school, and what a school. The Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. As classically trained musicians (Jazz and Musical Compsition) they usually compose and write their own music THEN go into the studio and record the S**T out of it.
I think in order to make sense of DL, you need to know they are formally trained session musicians who started this ”hobby project” as an outlet for all the stuff they’d never be allowed to do in their hired gun sessions. This track especially is a good example of them throwing the kitchen sink at us. And for my sanity I have to believe they do it tongue in cheek. Just the work Jonah put into the backing vocals on this track is a minor miracle.
@@fiddlestix3025 You’re right in that they never hold back for the sake of holding back. But this track is above and beyond. Just the choir in the outro alone - it’s completely ridiculous. (In a good way of course). I just know Jonah must have laughed his ass off when he played that back in its entirety for the first time, after struggling to keep a straight face while nearing completion. It’s the sense of humour musicians have, though it’s a bit of an inside joke. Musicians making each other laugh with music, it never gets old. I don’t get that tongue-in-cheek wink-wink from all their songs though - Breakdown, for example, comes across as a rather serious piece. But the common thread is they’re having as much fun as they possibly can, without any restrictions. And I’m obviously here for it.
@@hackapump yep, agree with all that you’re saying. It sometimes strikes me, the amount of fun they would’ve had in writing, playing, recording and filming their tracks, although it would be equally sometimes be a long and frustrating process, as Jonah says in his Stratele Studio interviews. As he also says though, having fun is central to their music making. Henrik says about playing with Dirty Loops on Scott’s Bass Lesson’s interview that it has to be fun -why play a sucky gig? ;) And I completely agree that some of their tunes, also on the Loopified album, have a very serious tone to them, pardon the pun. Which for a musician can be just as much ‘fun’ to play…
The Swedish musicians and their music, along with our beautiful landscapes, are soon all that are left of our country. Not much later it will all be passed to our long, proud history, I'm afraid.
You guys are blocking 1/3of the video. You should reverse the images. Them large, you small. They're just clowning around for the video. They are not swapping instruments. Jonah did all of the singing included all background voicing.
For me, this is my favorite from them. It's a true masterpiece.

They sound live absolutely amazing. Saw them a couple of times the last 10 years. They play with 4 musicians most of the time.
Great reaction! Thanks! My favorite band! Saw them two times live now - and they pull all this off with a smile. They are just three really great guys and awesome musicians.

They are criminally little known 😮

They sound pretty much the same live. Incredible talented!

You both are so awesome!!! Exact right reaction!!!🤘❤️

Great comment! 😂
Yeah I’m with you on the kitchen sink thing… and it seems to be the same way with all of their songs 🔥🚽💥

Qui Gon: Well…took you long enough…
Is it a surprise that Quincy Jones is their producer. Not to me.
WORK SHIT OUT next
Wish you would not cover the performance window....so much to observe here.
