Good drills, thanks for posting. Would like to see the D man get used to shooting from the BL in addition to walking in 6-7 steps as he did in both drills. Keep in mind, opposing players will be in those lanes so walking into traffic is not a good idea. These are good drills to add lane shooting from the BL. Would love to see stronger look-off toward the middle (good description in chalk talk but no "action" in the drill. Would also love to hear the players talk when wanting the puck (its an all the time habit). I like your stuff and although I tweak it quite a bit, it is really good. Thanks for posting.
I agree. We address that in a separate video where we encourage defensemen to keep their skates outside the blue to gain extra space. The kids in this video were playing 18U at the time, and we were mostly trying to film examples of the drills. Their brains can only handle so much info before shutting down 😉
