- Pride makes me:
resentful when corrected;
hurt when disappointed;
impatient when hindered;
greedy when choosing;
critical when speaking of rivals;
jealous when seeing others advancing;
untruthful when confronted; and
distant when slighted.
Proverbs 16:18 (NKJV) Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.
“Manifestations of Pride” It is amazing to note that the first third of the list comes from Proverbs. More Biblical descriptions of pride are in Proverbs (9x) than any other book. Matthew comes in second (7x):
1- Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.
2-Proverbs 18:1-2 A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment. 2 A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart.
3-Proverbs 10:17 He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray.

One thing I always say/ask in my prayers is: Father, let me not be prideful or to be found with any pride in me. Every person is my superior in that I can learn something from them. I am better than nobody, nor above anyone else. I am a fallen being. Saved by the washing of Jesus Christ's blood over me through his grace and forgiveness. I hear the word PRIDE thrown around quite a bit these days. I cringe when I hear it. Because I know how destructive it is. Extra speacial thanks for this one Doctor John. You're the true rockstar in my faith, who jams for Jesus. You give me such awesome spiritual tune-ups. God bless you.🙏💜☺👍

Some of us are isolated because our friends and family have walked away due to us growing closer to God.
Yes I feel that I'm kind of walking alone with God through Jesus Christ Our Lord Our Savior I feel since I've been touched bye God has blessed me with his presence I feel that I'm more alone now than I've ever been but I'm not spiritually alone I'm just physically alone as for trusting people but they're true Christians and that they won't judge there's not too many of them out there a lot of Christians are wolves in sheep's clothing so it's a trust issue I have done a lot of bad things in the past I was an atheist I had no faith whatsoever and yeah I broke a lot of the Ten Commandments in my past I'm ashamed of it I wish I could talk to fellow born-again Christians but I just don't see them physically around me what I see is a lot of lost people there's a saying in the Bible from what my mother tells me I haven't come across the saying yet it says this "go amongst the multitude there are few among you"
But we would still have the body of Christ

I isolate myself because I can't take the comparisons between me and others. I have a harder time showing my weaknesses and vulnerability than I do mistakes. I know I've made them, but if challenged I might defend myself. Humility is not the same as insecurity.
Thank you, this is me. I will change and be humble no matter what it takes. I want to live with Jesus. I Repent of those sins of pride. Forgive me Lord. 🙏
I have been listening for quite a while now and wow we did today speak directly to me. Just one more reason why I love Jesus so much I get what I need when I need it and wow what an eye opener today I am so guilty. I am on my knees praying God to forgive me and to continue to show me my errors and my ways so that I may become more like Christ in my mistakes as we go through life. May God bless anyone with you and all who wanted to but didn't.
This is such a needful teaching for me. I need to think less of my needs and wants daily. I think of Jesus, the creator who could have called down legions of angels on his enemies, who could have explained the immune system or the coagulation system, yet he humbly spoke to men what they needed most and endured the reviling of creatures that he made. Thank you for this message.
I'm having so much trouble with pride. It even seems boastful to tell you that. God is so amazing to me, and I know that it is HE! What a conundrum! Just talking about this makes it all about ME! I need work.

"Pride goeth before a fall"
A Stark and a Frog in Michigan were conversing and the Stark told the Frog he was leaving to Winter in Florida and the Frog said he wanted to go with him. The Stork laughed and replied that it wasn't possible because the Frog couldn't fly. Then the Frog said that if two of the Starks would hold a small branch in their mouths then he would bite down on the branch in the middle and hold on with his mouth and go with them. The Starks agreed and off they went.
While flying low over a farm, a man looked up in amazement when he saw them and shouted out, "Whose idea was that"? And the Frog immediately replied Mine-eeeeeeee ! ! !

Prideful ways is overwhelmingly increasing throughout. 1.2.3 is where we are today.
This subject should be required at the seminary levels and street evangelism.
I am finding a lot of ministers that are VERY PRIDEFUL and they know it all... just ask them. One was teaching "works" should be evident if you are saved... I couldn't believe my ears and listened to the vid again. The scripture says "fruits" or deeds of the Spirit are what we are to have. As Paul said... we have been grafted into the vine JESUS and we are to have fruit on our branch... love, joy, peace. longsuffering, gentleness, kindness, meekness, faith, self-control of such there is no law. We are in the last days and we need to be on our guard for imposters and remember what Jesus said, by their fruits, ye shall know them. See you all in the catching away. Eph 2:8-10
Another statement he made was that Christians are being taught to look to be "raptured up before the tribulation" trying to escape.
I'm always confused when I notice non Christians working on themselves this way too. They don't have the Holy Spirit but I know a few that desire humility and want to understand and work on their pride as well.
God is working on everyone, even non christians...

I lost all my friends because they're not Christians and they don't want to know God's word and even listen to the good news of Jesus Christ! Not because I'm proud and to be honest I don't want to be around that many people of they're not Christians.

@@deeschoe1245 The superheroes are based on fallen angels which were worshipped as gods by many different civilizations. These fallen angels DID have enormous powers that they kept even after coming to earth. So NOT made up and you can verify it all by looking into the frescos in Greek and Roman, Mayan, Egyptian, and many other evidences left by older civilizations. Also, check out the Book of Enoch - used to be part of the Bible and tells of the history of these fallen angels and what they did that caused God to send the flood. We need to heed that warning as we are in the days of Noah again and judgment is coming soon. Christ is returning VERY soon and the whole earth needs to prepare. I hope you are ready too to meet the Lord! God says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt not PERISH but have EVERLASTING LIFE"! What a wonderful FREE gift out of the LOVE and FORGIVENESS from God and our Savior. Imagine living forever in a world without sin, sorrow, pain, illness, and death! Yet it is real! God's Kingdom is coming soon! All you have to do is repent and believe - it's your choice! God says, "choose LIFE". I hope you do.
