PRIDE is the ultimate sin.
All conflicts, fights, and troubles
flow downward from PRIDE.
Pride makes me:
resentful when corrected;
hurt when disappointed;
impatient when hindered;
greedy when choosing;
critical when speaking of rivals;
jealous when seeing others advancing;
untruthful when confronted; and
distant when slighted.

I'm not one for commenting on anything, but I am so thankful God had our paths cross, TH-cam is good for something.. I'm 69, they tell me I'm in poor health cause I'm on hospice, but I laughed and told em God's not ready for me yet, my preacher has alot more to teach me..

I've learned so much since finding your channel--about Christ, Bible prophecy and the critical process of spiritual growth. One day, when arrive in heaven, God will let you meet the many (thousands? millions?) you have blessed by strengthening their faith, and encouraging them during this earthly journey. Pride is so subtle and it is the one thing that blocks us from seeing ourselves as God sees us and the things that others see in us. I know that it has been something that God has tried to get me to see the pride in my life. This teaching made me think of what Jesus said to the Laodicean church. The problem is that when I start trying to deal with pride, I often become more self absorbed, rather than focusing on Christ.
Dear John, thank you so very much for explaining this so clearly! I am battling with a sin I love at the moment and now I can see clearly that because I don't want to give it up it's causing a restless feeling within me and since listening to this sermon I have light on the matter. My flesh just doesn't want to die! My sinful self wants my way! Wretched man that I am said Paul, but thanks be to God for Jesus Christ! In my defense Dr. Barnett, I am subscribed to you and others who promote the Word on my Android phone and have apps to help me study scripture, pray, meditate, and grow in the Word (and do work of course). Yes, I am using my devices a lot, but I am not as I was before. :) Your shirt is aqua, and your wife is right about the wrinkles. Closing prayer cutoff though, but thank you for the message.

hahahahaha i was just confessing to God last night that there were things i needed to do but couldn't, because of pride. And here you are! :-)
I truly pray that I can over come pride. Its very nature is truly destructive and has proven so in my life.

Does the spirit of pride evr dies within us.?
Sometime I think that I am humble but I realize it's my pride that makes me think so.
It's a risky thought. I now know I must walk with care and it makes me realize that I must read my Bible daily with humility in prayer It keeps me on my guard. I pray to crucify the flesh to the cross.

Yet when I was working, I was told to have pride in what I did S it was a reflection on me. Don't do shoddy or half hearted efforts but take pride in your work.
Ya my brother and sister they are full of pride I tried to talk about Jesus to them but they are to far above to help

Unfortunately among long time christians ... folks use the phrase “ if it’s God’s will indiscriminately “
The “ devil” in your head is at war against pride in your life. Pride is a “SIN”. If you are trying to keep sin out of your life by yourself, you will always be battling it. Jesus by Grace removed sin from your life. Give it to Him and stop trying to do it on your own.
