I wonder if throwing home is the "easiest" out to get though. Especially if it is from runner from 3rd, all you have to do is throw it at the backstop. Of course an out at home is more "dramatic" though for sure.

Can we talk about how unselfish the managers in the league are? You've got Drew Davis removing himself from the pitching rotation in favor of Behen, and then Szerlag removing himself from the lineup in this series in favor of Chadwick...love how these guys just want to win and leave their egos aside.
Lol this is the same season that Davis pulled Baronoski in a high leverage situation and walked the next 4 batters who came to the plate, ultimately losing the game

The defense in MLW has been taken to another level
Wildcats rounding into World Series form. Tremendous effort by the Gators, this team has lots of talent, just couldn't quite piece it all together this season. I believe they'll have a bounce back year next year. I've watched every series and I must say this is much more entertaining than an MLB game.

Simply dumbfounded by the gators move to trade for chadwick. Who knows though, guessing theyre banking on bouncing back next season which is certainly possible, but boy trading away a top pick to miss the postseason is still brutal.
And with all the top end talent that the draft has produced recently, makes it more difficult to under the move
If I were a GM in this league, I would try to accumulate as many picks as possible every offseason. The talent in the draft will only improve as the league gets more and more popular. I would deal away good but not great players like Cheatum/Chadwick/Bonham/etc. in a heartbeat for an extra chance at the draft.

@@Squatch_11 Oh without a doubt. Mallards are going to be insane in 2023. theyre already 8-4 this season, drafted a stud in robles, and a top pick in this draft since the magic gave them their pick in the 2023 draft. Tommy Coughlin is looking like a genius right now lol.
Wildcats had a pretty cakewalk schedule in the second half the season. As for the Chadwick trade, he looked solid af in the first two games. Sadly for the Gators, Cheetem and Jorgy were definitely hitable this year, and besides Cheetem, no one else could hit home runs. I really like the Gators and I hope they can turn things around next year.
Gators just traded the potential #1 overall pick AND next years first for a series where they get swept and will likely fail next season too. Have absolutely no clue what Szerlag was doing at the deadline.
They put up a hell of a fight against a WS challenging team. Cheetam has been struggling a lot lately though. Feels like he’s swinging at pitches that he never swung at when he was doing well
@@firemarblefilms at the end of the day, it was a foolish gamble; at 3-9 they shouldn’t have expected to make playoffs anyway, instead aiming to compete but expect to get a blue-chip player in the top 2. Now they not only lose their pick this year but their one next year too, meaning there’s no help coming in. Putting up a fight is nice, but now they’re essentially in the worst-case scenario. Good thing they got a championship, because it’s gonna be a long time before they sniff another

@@LegionX8726 I think they have a shot at contending last year, and if they do, their pick really won’t be that valuable. And yes, their pick this upcoming draft will be valuable, but not every high draft pick is Jordan Robles.

My predictions on the season:
Knorp is a Powerhouse but people learned how to hit him, still really good. I think the same will happen next year with Dallas Allen. Mallards win the world series vs the preds 3-1. I think Behen will be amazing next year, but Robles will win Rookie of the year. MVP goes to Dallas Allen.
Wildcats vs Eagles. Toss up.
Dallas Allen is only getting better. Has more in his arsenal that he hasn't shown yet.
Mallards don't have a #2 pitcher. If Behen has another series like last one then kills the playoffs he could beat Robles. My prediction? Cobras beat the Eagles 3 games to 2 in the WS.

So the gators traded two picks for Chadwick and didn’t let him pitch? The pitching is the biggest reason they’ve been struggling too many homers given up if this trade doesn’t work out next year the gators might be bottomfeeders for a while

Bonham would have been a much better choice. A pitcher that can hit alright. He solves the pitching issues.

Regardless of who you're rooting for, you have to feel for the Gators a bit. They needed one win to stay alive and it felt like all three games just barely squeaked by them. Massive props to the Wildcats' defense, however -- their awareness of the field situation is outstanding.
The trade imo was not a good one. Esp with their record. They would have a grt pick.

Wildcats' surge was a long-time coming, imo. Kyle deserves all the credit for maintaining the team, as saylor said in the post game. Clearly the talent has been there all along. Amazing to watch them put it all together.

I have never been so crushed by a loss ever. Proud of my Gators today we really played our hearts out, most intense game all year, the gators did not go down easily, but we will come back stronger next year. Although we don’t have any draft picks until 2025 so it is looking to be a dark next few years for us

I did nothing but travel the country playing AAU ball and then whenever we weren’t playing baseball we had the whole team together playing wiffleball in whoever’s backyard we happened to be staying at that night… brings back such wonderful memories.

I think that the pitch speed limit should be one warning per GAME, not per inning. What's the point of trying to limit the amount of pitches over 72 when pitchers always have one in the bank anyway to use each inning?

Well any pitch above 74 is an automatic ball so it’s not like they have one pitch they can throw as hard as they want. There’s still an absolute cap, but the warnings allow them to pitch right up near 72 without worrying too much.

Tough one for the Gators. It was a huge risk move to trade draft picks to get a player in the last series when the Wildcats are the opponent you have to get by. The Gators are a team that is solid all the way through and will compete against anyone, but they don't have a superstar. They've got so much depth now, that I would be shocked to see another trade at the draft to get some picks back. They are seriously just a player away from flipping that record.
Can't believe nobody else is saying it, but Jorgensen was incredible this series. Terrific heads-up baserunning in what was a do or die game. That dodge at second base was super risky, but also incredible. He was also making good contact and pitched well in game three. Haven't seen him play that good since the Gators world series win.

In my opinion, the two most dangerous hitters to face right now, are Ryan Kracht, and Nick Saylor. Kracht is really finding the swing this season but Saylor to me is a model of a consistent swing. Just pieces up the ball every video I watch
