Oh awesome! If you’ve got a link to them that would be much appreciated. It’s project like these where you really figure out if you have the right tools for the job haha
@@Addimotive hi, I tried 3 times to send a link, but it doesn't show up. here's the description: grip 9 pc Super Thin Wrench Set, there's also a crescent wrench: getupower 10 inch adjustable wrench. I have a c4 and c5 corvette and there's always room for new tools!!! sure makes the job easier. Goodluck with your projects !!!
I would go with original replacement studs , you will complicate your life it’s so hard to even put a wrench on to hold it to tighten the bolts, engineers did this for a reason
Hm yea I don’t think so, did you watch the video? It was way easier to install and remove the bolts because they had a large hex head connection to hold onto with a socket wrench from the front side. Not sure where or why you’re thinking it’s so hard to put a wrench on it. The studs relied on a minuscule male hex head connection that strips incredibly easily if there’s even a slight bit of rust. Hence why I had to use the double nut technique to try and get them out, which also was still difficult to remove them. Studs are used because it’s easier to align and install the exhaust quickly as the car was going down the assembly line.
Dude ! saved my life . Doing a favor for a buddy changing his starter . Same problem , great advice will try tomorrow . Thanks for posting
Awesome! Glad this was helpful! Hope the job went well 👍🏼
Trying to change my starter right now, it’s just one bent stude keeping me from getting the triangle off I was so mad until I found this 😅
Wish mine looked that good 😅
haha … A lot rustier?
@@Addimotive way way way rustier, the threads fell off when I touched them.
Good job sharing
Thanks! That’s one of the many reasons why I make these videos, is to help others out!
I needed a thin wrench and found a set on Amazon.

Do you have the bolt sizes you used for the exhaust manifolds?
I believe they're M10-1.5. I can't remember which length I used though.
