I did love John’s proposal, but the most romantic moment between them was him watching Anna dance at the ball in Scotland. That look on his face!! So much like the way my darling father looked at my sweet stepmom. And there’s that scene where John tells her he knows about her assault. Holding her so tightly as she sobbed against his chest! Not a happy moment I know, but it really showed his deep love for her.
Every actor was superb...its hard to pick, but I would have to say Robert and Isis. That last night of Isis's life.....just heartbreaking 💔 😢

Ever moment is so true but my favorite ones are obviously Bates and Anna as they are my favorite couple (of all TV shows) and Anna is my favorite character as well thanks you soo much. Thanks to the cast for always being the best too
John and Anna are my favorite couple too! Fellowes took them to the brink of Hell and back again. They always emerged stronger, more committed and more deeply in love.

I may be odd in my interpretation of “romantic,” but I think it showed through in the everyday way certain characters “showed up” for each other. Anna and Bates are a prime example… the way they looked out for each other around the house, how Anna attended to him after his arrival when the staff was conspiring to oust him, through the murder trial when she never gave up believing in him, and especially how he interacted with her when he found out about the sexual assault she endured. IMHO, of course.

I’m sorry but the John and Anna bored me stiff. I can’t believe First Bates get arrested for murder and then Anna got arrested then her release then Bates gets arrested and released and then Anna RINSE AND REPEAT
