  • Welcome or welcome back! This is the first video of our Iceland and Norway trip. To make the most of our cruise on the Norwegian Star we extended our trip to include days in Reykjavik prior to boarding. In today's installment we get our first glimpses of the dramatic landscape that is Iceland. Due to the impending eruption of the volcanoes on the Reykjavik peninsula, out trip to the Blue Lagoon had to be cancelled due to unforeseen road closures. To make the most our first day in Iceland we visited the Perlan museum to make the most the rainy weather. There were so many amazing activities including northern lights show, volcano show, and the indoor ice cave which might be the most well-known. In all fairness though, we were largely biding our time until we could finally go eat at Dill which is a Michelin star restaurant we have been giddily awaiting for weeks. Truly, this was a once in a lifetime experience and we were so happy to have been able to experience a take on traditional Icelandic cuisine. If you are ever in Iceland and have the chance to eat at Dill, I would highly recommend. We loved pretty much everything and there are still some dishes we talk about months later. If you've made it this far, thank you for watching and as always, I hope you have a happy and wholesome day!

Thanks for a great video!! Loved the Dill section and will now add the Perlan to our itinerary! Was hoping to see how your glacier hike went... is there another vid?
Qs: What time of year did you go? Did it rain the whole time? How many days did you stop in Iceland?
We are headed to Iceland in 10 days, 9-9-24. Looking like lots of rain... good thing we have waterproof attire!

So sorry to just now be responding. We were blessed with quite lovely weather overall. We only ever had spurts of rain showers. In total we were in Iceland for 6 days at the end of May and into the start of June.
I wish you safe and hopefully dry travels. Thank you so much for watching and I hope you trip is just as good as ours, if not even better!

It was amazing! I would absolutely love to go back because it still didn’t seem like long enough to explore everything we wanted to. We have a decent balance but there are certainly seasons of 60-80+ hour work weeks. It always looks better than it probably is truthfully but I hope we can all strike a good balance 💕
