  • Tenda Nova MW12 devices are a low cost mesh Wi-Fi solution to provide greater coverage in your house. These devices are for up to 150 users and can support 12 modes in the mesh.
    The Tenda Nova MW12 is configured using the Tenda Wi-Fi app on your smartphone and I go through the initial setup steps and base configuration explaining the different internet connection types based on your ISP router.
    These units are AC2100 Tri Band providing high speed Wi-Fi throughout your premises.

    You saved me with that smart assistant setting. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out how to change to 2.4Ghz. Thank you

    Thank you - I used your video to set up my Tenda Nova MW12 Mesh, and it works so well and took 10 mins. The setup booklet that comes in the box, is very slim. Now we have excellent wi fi around the house.

    Great tutorial. I was having issues switching to the secondary hubs. Putting it into Bridge mode solved the issue. Many thanks!

    I have just started to re-use mw12 as spouse has redecorated house and prefers look of Tenda over the better spec AI Mesh Asus CT8s 😳
    I have FTTP (1000/115) and use them in bridge mode as you mention 👍🏿 They are slower than Asus and lack customisable features of Asus.
    What they are, is steady and reliable.
    I can't recall you mentioning, but I think it is important to note Tenda has no firewall.

    Hi there. I have just purchased the same kit. Cheers for the wall through it was very good. Could I ask if I have to leave the master node connected to the router or can I move it to another part of the house?

    Thanks for the video it was very useful. Can I ask, if I have a VM Hub in modem mode do I connect directly to the first node from the hub using an Ethernet cable or do I connect the Hub to a router and then connect the router to the node? Thanks

    Hi, Great Video, Just one Question, its about the Nova Mw6 maintenance Shedule.
    How do I know its working? Because I've set to activate..
    ie at 10am to activate at 11:30am and for the life of me I can't see it reboot or do anything at that set time. Apart from that I'm loving this System.

    Not sure if I missed this, if these are set as bridge mode, will the wifi from my original internet provider gateway still be broadcasting? I'm used to setting my internet provider as the bridge and the mesh running the show.

    I have ethernet cables running through my entire house, so can I use the LAN ports on the secondary access points instead of the wifi connecting the primary novas to the secondary novas for a faster connection?

    Why I don't connect automatically to different mesh stations? I can see three networks with same name and have to connect manually

    I probably got the MW12 or the MW6 but sir, please tell me, is it possible to remove the option of my router automatically rebooting making me lose connection for a quite long time?

    Hey is it possible to use the Ethernet port on the Secondary Novas? Like I have a desktop with no wifi (and those dongles are slow). So is it possible to have this kind of Setup:
    Router > Main Nova
    Secondary Nova > Lan Cable Desktop?

      Have you applied this setting? After I did this, I wanted to access from my desktop the other PCs but I don't know how to set it. Do you somehow know? Thanks!

    Hello. Can you help please. I get stuck at the network detection part. It doesn't push through the next stage which is naming the WiFi. I've been trying this for hours and nothings working.

      Hello@@robertbantock5492 I did not find a way around this. My solution was to return the item back to Amazon and get a full refund.

    I’ve set up the nova with 1 secondary. The 3rd nova isn’t connecting to the primary? I’ve tried to reset it but the light still stays on green.. can’t seem to get it to blink and then connect via the mesh button on ? Does anyone what to do?

    Hi mate
    I have Nova MW6 just a question about the internet setting. I have a Virgin Media hub 5 should I leave it as DHCP or change it to Bridge mode. I’m not sure if my hub is already in modem mode

    • @MrMat43211
      @MrMat43211 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no anything from any isp will normally not be in modern mode, for the virgin media hub 5 you can change it to modern mode or call virgin media to put it in modern mode while you do that ask them for you pppoe username and password. as for if you if you don't own any game console or play games on your pc then leave it as dhcp to make your life easier if you do have any game consoles or play multiplayer games on your pc/laptop then put it in bridge mode or better yet call virgin put the virgin MH5 in modern mode and set the MW6 in pppoe and set you qos speeds to be 1mbps of your speed test at peak hours

    • @umarkhattab1633
      @umarkhattab1633 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just to clarify ring VM ask them to put the hub in modem mode nd leave it running in DHCP settings. When I get the PPPOE username and password do I use that to set up the wireless setting not sure what to do with the PPPOE username nd password?

    Would have been useful to see what speeds you get when the units have been placed around the house. Next to each other is a bit of a useless test?!

    You can turn off the WiFi 2.4 and use the tenda nova

      I had this issue. Try resetting the node using a pin on the little hole. That seemed to work for me.

    • @Griff6784

      @aliboom6876 in the end I've wired my mesh system up, every single node is eth linked with cat6. Works great now.

    Dude get rid of this. They have a backdoor which can be hacked. I’ve been hacked and had to replace my main router because of it.
