Norm Macdonald one of the great comedians of our time and a personal hero of Tom's is a guest on Tom Green Live for the first time. But not the last. It's taken for granted since every college kid has one by default now, but a MacBook back then still wasn't the status symbol it was yet. (Blackberries and the iPhone was still becoming mainstream)

I remember watching this live. I used to be a security guard late at night and this show got me through a many night. The insanity that took place at Tom's house was incredible. Great times.

@@paddysboys lol - No I quit the job for a better one (the security guard job was more akin to McDonalds) working in logistics and I've been doing that ever since. Hard to believe it's been over 13 years.

It was so funny hearing about the current events at that time. Brought me back! The Kramer incident, Regis and Kathy lee. So fun to watch!

The Tom Green Show was my favorite show in the 90s....even tho it wasn't my show. I used to stay up late on school nights to watch. I taped over the holes of my dads VHS videos of "this old house" so I could record the TG Show them over them....now its 2020 in a pandemic and I find myself watching the TG Show while quarantined in my house. These are disturbing times but I'm comforted by my old favorites. Thanks @TomGreen ! Your still my hero!

This show was GENIUS. Norm was a legend, naturally funny, and he always seemed happy. It's great to observe these two comics communicating with each other and the guests.

I'm from Australia but I still feel like I could have been any one of those kids who called in, so many good memories.
This just takes me back to then, the advent of internet culture, the evolution of tech/entertainment/everything.
Pre 9/11, pre GFC, in hindsight, what a fucking time.
Love you man, a huge underdog inspiration for all the dada comedy over the last ten years.
I spend a huge chunk of my TH-cam time just watching Norm these days, one of the best of all time, so this has been a fuckin' rush.

bruh the internet from like 2005-2012 was so lit and unfiltered lol.....it's still good now but I miss those days. Tom Green, the early Joe Rogan podcast, the old B-Real show....good times as a dumb teenager for me
I remember watching this Live when I turned 20. It was my favorite show at the time. Tom and I both got into Skype when calling regular phones was free (I think this was Skype beta). I really miss those days and wish I could go back. Thank you for many great years Tom. I hope to see another web show like this from you soon.
@Master I totally agree, the Music was just starting to become crap but there were a lot of good rock bands still. Subjective yes, but in terms of the internet, it was still still very much the Wild West compared to now. I wonder what details we take for granted now and will miss later. I find it difficult to see through that filter in the moment.

Tom is very good at keeping things on track as it's very easy to go off the rails with Norm. Absolutely so glad I got to hear the backstory on the View interview since I've been watching videos of Norm and saw it the other day and thought it was so great how awkward he made everyone but just kept doing his thing. It's even greater to hear him talk about it. Gonna go watch it again now.

I met Tom Green at the Halifax liquor Dome one night and he was the coolest, humblest guy. After like 5 minutes talking Phil and Glen came up to tell him to come dancing with them and Tom Green was like No, I'm talking to Billy here. I was floored. It is really cool to see more pioneering entertainment from Tom Green. He started the shock tv and here, the video web cast. He makes me proud to be Canadian.He signed a seatbelt ticket I had. :)
