I think you guys underrated the fact that the civic has a LSD where as the focus has a open diff.

Dont forget suspension upgrades and summer tires on the Civic vs what looks like All-Seasons on the Focus

I too, just bought a 'mostly' stock 2016 ST. Under 30k miles, same color and everything! So I'm really excited to see more on that build in the future for sure. Bought mine with a Cobb cat-back and a turbosmart blowoff valve. I added a down-pipe, 2-step cooler plugs, a tune, and some better tires. Definitely has some pep to it. Motor mounts/suspension are definitely on the list. Wheel-hop was real before better tires, but now it's really real. Thanks, torque!

You might wanna add an intercooler to that list, or the rest of your tuning would be a waist. I have a 2016 myself, installed all 3 motor mounts from diamond motorsports, man the car is a different animal. Virtually zero wheel hop anymore, clutch feels better and it actually handles a tad better.

@@richardlapoint1845 It's one of the top things on the list. Unfortunately, it's one of the more expensive things on that never ending list of things we'd like to do to our cars haha! I'd like to add a cold air, snorkel, and some other performance bolt one, but the intercooler needs to happen first for sure. I'm glad to hear that about the motor mounts. I knew it would help with the wheel hop and add a bit more response. I didn't think about how it would affect the clutch. So that's just one more reason to get it done. I'll definitely check out some diamond Motorsports stuff. You done other mods? I'm curious about how adding front/rear sway bars, strut mount, bushings, etc would impact the overall feel and performance. I daily mine, and I've thought about adjustable coilovers so I can still comfortably operate it on the road. But outside of that I've not seen much talk about how the other stuff effects drivability.

@@justinstrange5945 i put a gfb recirc valve on instead of a "vent to atmosphere" bov, bc im not trying to turn every cops head lol, put a noise symposer delete on (the very first mod), did shifter base and bracket bushings both boomba and the symposer delete is boomba, motor mounts, mountune intercooler (love the way it mounts to the radiator bracket), bought a mountune pcv plate and diamond catch can stage 1 (hasnt been installed yet), gonna be buying mbrp exhaust and cobb accessport very soon, and im doing suspension plus a few things for the body and thats all. With my suspension im going with lowering struts (probably koni) and lowering springs so i can use the rubber strut mount as i will be driving mine daily also. Im not getting bigger sway bars bc i dont want it to handle like a race car, but i am getting poly sway bar bushings. Im also getting adjustable camber arms, sway bar links and toe arms so i have all the adjustability for the lowering and better handling even though im keeping stock sway bars.
In theory i want it to be fun without being unbearable. Im thinking itll ride nice and have good power for the street, but we shall see lol. Oh i meant to tell you the clutch feels better bc you dont have the engine movement you have with the stock mounts.

@@richardlapoint1845 I also did the symposer delete very first thing. The most useless piece of "engineering" I think I've seen in a looong time. I do think we both have kinda the same idea in mind. I've really debated putting a recirc valve on mine. I do love that sound, but it's like blood in the water when your just trying to drive around and not get noticed by either the cops or other people trying to race you.

Cooling will be addressed if it needs to be. We did not catch oil temps on this time out but coolant stayed put pretty well.

Are we sure that a BOV is ideal for this car? Is that something that is accounted for with a new air flow sensor and a tune?

Wow... I'm amazed the compressor wheel nut came off without it grenading itself. I wonder if the nut came off from the play or if the play was caused after the nut came off.

I heard a rear sway bar does wonders on the civic si. I’m not sure if you’ve installed on yet, but I hear a ton of good stuff from people who run the whiteline 22mm sway bar with the accord end links. A sub $200 upgrade both parts included. One of my friends who daily drives her si as a commuter has said good things about it and she babies her car.
