🎉 What weirdly niche design topic do yas want next?!
Good video, thought you might like these :)
Black is "K" for "Key Color".
Also, fun extra! Instead of inkjet, you can use laser jet printers to:
1) Print lineart you can color in with alcohol-based markers
2) Prink on acetate (clear) sheets and paint your own animation cell!
Ouuu the black K thing makes sense hahahaha.
Omggg i can’t believe i forgot to mention lazer and thermal printers 😣😣 (those tips are cool as!!)
This video was really entertaining!! I love the fact that you added subtitles, a list of timestamps, AND the history of printers, it was fun to watch. I also hope your website makes you tons of money 🤑
Thank youuu!! I’m dyslexic but I’ve been trying really hard to improve subtitles 😭😭🤧🤧 (and i hope people have fun visiting my website and learning new art stuff)
this is extremely relevant to what has been happening in my life recently!!!
Yayy that’s amazing!! Any questions let me know 🫶
You know I've been a computer tech since high school over ten years ago.... I learned several things I really should have already known...
For real?!? 😱
Printers are evil and as long as paper come out of printer, only thing I do is change the toner or ink and sometimes fix a jam.
When the print comes out bad, I just push the buttons that tell it to clean or align the heads. No I will not take it apart and service it. I just tell them its more expensive to order parts for repair than purchasing a new unit, if they argue I also mention how much time I will be scraping my knuckles inside of it... AFTER the parts eventually arrive, fingers crossed.
I know a bit more, but if anyone asks my response will remain "I don't know, and nobody does, printers are a scam to sell ink."
Hahaha hate your job i see 🤭 yeh printers can be a right menace thats why I’m lucky I can hire other people to print the designs I make for my commissions
It was so calming to watch someone explain all of this so clearly and accurately!
I tend to set my files to RGB and then try to select colors that are CMYK-safe. This offers the various technical advantages of RGB, but it also ensures that my colors will remain as vibrant as possible when printed. I also usually work in 600dpi, just to have more scaling options. Basically, all of your recommendations are the right ones, but I'm just neurotic about trying to make my art work in as many different contexts as possible 😅
Daymn 600 dpi?! How do your files not crash🫡🫡🤧🤧 (my computer could neverr)
Love this video it should be shown in schools everywhere
HAHA I dream of the day that I'm shown in class
i will keep this video saved somewhere on my phone just for the case of me ever finding myself having to deal with a printer ever again in my life.
Hahah thats called “save to watch later” and if you’re like me… you probably won’t watch it later 😂😂
Yay, this is the first time I heard this being explained in a way I understood!!
Ikr!! Why do teachers make it more complicated than it is 😭
It might also be useful to know what print settings yield the best results. Otherwise, fun video!
Ouu i did forget that :/ tbf I don’t really know much about print settings since I normally use external companies lol
ty for this amazing history lesson!
and everything else
You are so very welcome 😇
Somehow this video was such entertainment, good job!!
Phew! 😅 i was staring at it for so long i was getting worried
why does you mic go from low quality to regular quality??
🤧🤧 yehhhh I had to re record those parts…. I tried to cheat and record on OBS but It compressed everything so the new audio is uncompressed 🥲🥲 definitely won’t try cheat again!
I SUBSCRIBED IN HOPES U CAN EVENTUALLY GET PAID 4 DOING THIS AMAZING WORK !!! U CAN DO THIS !!!
AHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH THAT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME 💜💪
8:13 So that's why it takes color to print black on a color printer. That paradox has been in the back of my brain for years now. thank you very much for making this video
I know right!!
