Hey, thanks for these. Im trying to get into FF14 from 10 years of WoW and ff14's lore is so complex it's like trying to peel an infinite onion. I was getting real discouraged, but your videos have helped me a lot.
Same! It's not as flashy as the other city states, but I started off as WHM when I first got into this game, so as mentioned Gridania was my first foray into Eorzea and will always be special for that reason if no other. (Also there's something about it being small and tucked away in the forest that gives it a cozy feel).
Glad you liked it, thank you! And yes, I definitely plan on going through the various jobs from a lore standpoint! Been working on getting every class to max level for that very reason!
Hi! Just recently discovered your channel and binged quite a few of your videos! Just wanted to say keep up the good work! The lore is really quite enjoyable! Also, I noticed you're on Brynhildr!!! I salute you my fellow Brynhildr...ian lol
Thanks so much! It always makes me happy to know that people enjoy my videos! And it's even cooler to know I've got a fan on my own home server of Brynhildr! If you ever see me in-game feel free to say hi!
I think it's less that the Ixali are straight-up "bad guys" and more that their goals simply don't align with the Gridanians. The Gridanians prioritize peace with the Elementals, and follow the Elementals rules of not taking too much from the forest. The Ixali got kicked out because they tried to expand too much and use up too much of the Black Shroud's resources, so the Elementals got mad. Unless the Ixali want to make peace with the Elementals and live by their rules like the Gridanians, they will necessarily be antagonistic towards one another.
I hope the Padjal aren't born exclusively to hyuran families, because considering that they came to Eorzea as invaders and were the ones to start all the fighting in the first place, it's kind of a slap in the face to the native Elezen Literally adding insult to injury

I just found your channel, I've been looking for a lore channel and I'm happy to finally find one! Thank you for making these :D
Thanks for the info! I'm an Immortal Flame, but as a WHM and DRG main, Gridania will always have a special place in my heart.

Love the vid! I'm always looking for more lore channels. After our battle in Thok id love to see a vid on the Primals!
Loving for this content! Thanks for the lore vids! 😍. Would love some job lore videos if you ever think about what series to do after the cities!

Your channel is awesome! Also, sorry to hear you've had so many problems lol
I kind of feel that Ixalia are not the bad guys.
