Just installed on a 22 FTR-S Tools were slightly different. Just a T50 for the upper bracket removal. Then a 13mm to holt the bolt on the new one. 10mm socket for the clamp to the CAT. Fitment is excellent. Definitely loved having a strap wrench to get the black cover off when removing the DB reducer. Stock akropovic was 90 dec at idle. S&S with reducer in was also 90 dec but with a deeper sound (better to my ears). With the db reducer out the S&S was at 100 dec. Noticeably louder but not unpleasantly so :) Twisting the grip on the right made all of them louder but the S&S without the db reducer was better. Great add to the bike and easy DIY ~ 45 min including watching the end of hunt for red October. One ping only!
Very helpful video,thanks . Had issues getting the end cap out to pull out DB reducer. Once it was out, way louder than I thought it would be. Worth the effort.
Thanks for the vid! I installed mine today and it’s great although had some issues with the bolts. If it helps anyone else - They looked like they’d rusted and couldn’t get them into the dog bone. I was told it was loctite on them and had to burn this off and warm the dog bone before I could get them to screw in.
Great video, but what he doesn’t show is how difficult is to take the end cap off, putting it back on is not any easier because it fits very snug on there. Go to home depot and buy an 8 inch strap wrench by Husky ($9.97) you’ll thank me you didi
@@AA-wo9di no, not bad at all, mostly noticeable when your giving it hell in the mid range. Then she roars like a banshee. Normal riding conditions are no problem .

The end cap in there pretty tight. Try and work it side to side in a twisting motion to break it loose.

Do you also need to remove the two screws on the side of the pipe?

There is no way I'm getting that end-cap off without damaging the finish.
Web says you cannot ship to CA
Because Cali has regulations against exhaust etc. Ship it to someone you know out of state and have them send it to you.
Do you need to remap the ecu or should it be ok?
