    It's friday night and I'm watching a TonyRo video. I've got absolutely nothing better to do, and that's not for lack of things to do!
    I love you Tony. Who else is this crazy to make such in depth and high quality chess content for free, you're a beautiful man, don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise!

      Thanks A TON Manatee, very much appreciate all of your comments on my videos. Hope this video scores you some points - enjoy the rest of your Friday evening! :)

      I'm still watching it, and so far it is scoring huge points, really love it! Going to have dinner and then watch the rest of it later.
      Lately I've been all in on the Najdorf as black, but I'd love to also pick up the dragon again as well. That was the opening that appealed to me most when I started, but the Najdorf tended to give me more playable and unbalanced positions after getting better at chess and thus facing stronger players. Maybe this video will spark some change in my openings? :)
      Also love the "it's hard to lose in correspondence"! It's such a very niche chess burn: even correspondence players lose this position :D
      Very much enjoy all of your videos Tony! Enjoy your weekend

    Fantastic, teriffic, brilliant! What an insightful video, so much quality stuff served excellently by you for chess enjoyers :) I only dream you upload more lectures such as this one, London etc. on other openings. Really thanks a lot- I'd 100% pay for such content. Doing this for free is just a blessing for us :) Greetings from Poland, you are the man B)

    OMG Tony Ro! No one even comes to explaining opening so clearly and deep. You are much better than most of Chessable authors.

    These Dragon videos are honestly the most useful free opening prep resources I've ever seen. Truly great stuff, keep up the good work.

    Tony! You’ve made my day with this video.
    I love playing the Dragon from both sides, but at my level (1900 Lichess blitz) they rarely allow the open Sicilian, but when they do I just love it win or lose.
    Greetings from Serbia!

    TY Tony. Yugoslav attack was the first opening I deeply studied 30 years ago and it teaches so much about chess.

    Tony Ro coming in hot lately w/ opening videos on QGD Exchange and Sicilian Dragon! What's next? Innovations in the Bogo Indian? I kid, I kid. For real, these opening videos are a real treat

    Wohoo, Dragon video! Was especially interested in this because I made a Dragon rep on Lichess a year back and hadn't really checked it since, so was curious to see if I'd missed anything. Unfortunately, I seem to have dismissed 20. Qe4 prematurely back then (only looked at Qe3 and Qc3) in the Nxc6 bxc6 Bd4 Bxd4 Qxd4 Qb6 Na4 Qa5 line. Probably because most of those games are new and SF didn't seem to care too much back then. Well, that's sort of annoying. But thanks for bringing it to my awareness, better this way than otb (however unlikely). Lots of very good stuff in here, as usual. Keep it up!

    • @TonyRotella
      @TonyRotella  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Yago, thanks for watching! I think if the only omissions you're finding are in the moves 20+, then you're more than good! I'm sure if I compared my two videos to your repertoire I'd be missing plenty as well. Cheers, and thanks again! :)

      @@TonyRotella Well it helps that I went the easy way with the Topalov, so none of the Bc4 and Ne5 stuff was relevant for my rep :P The a6 line is very intriguing, though.

    Loved it! The best content! How long does it take you to learn all this? The crazy thing is that you do all the work and then you don't play the dragon! Chess can be hard!

    • @TonyRotella
      @TonyRotella  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I played the Dragon for most of my chess career before moving away, so a lot of this is just updating some old notes and from memory. Chess is very hard! ;)

    Love it Tony! If you're taking requests, the Wing gambit of the Sicilian always makes me feel stupid: there so many somewhat reasonable things for black to do, but white inevitably gets a super strong center. Help refute this stupid-looking opening!

    • @TonyRotella
      @TonyRotella  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a tough one to refute! In my book I covered 2.b4 cxb4 3.a3 e5!? pretty in depth!
