The puzzle 1. Rb8, Qe7 2. Rb8xRf8+, Qe7xRf8 3. Qa1+, Qg7 4. Qa8+, Qg8 5. Qg8# Black can still play if Kg7 instead QxRf8 it but the checkmate it matter moves
@@markferri2614 He meant, that 1. Rb8 is the move, because of the Qa1+ threat, what could be defended only with Qe5. So after 1. Rb8 black will lose the queen or the rook, for example: 1. .., Qe7 (Qxb8, Qa1+ lead to checkmate) 2. Qa1+, Qe5 3. Rxf8+ Kg7 4. Rg8+ etc.

The game does exemplify Tartakower's remark that the winner is the player who makes the second last blunder. Entertaining game nonetheless.
@Oissev Onos Thanks dear Oissev! Yea, that Karpov-Korchnoi is a real gem! I adore that game
Mike yea, somehow strange that didn't use that quote in the beginning of the video, right?
@Oissev Onos good day! his interview came to my mind "his name is Karpov, of Karp; fish...
The puzzle
1. Rb8, Qe7
2. Rb8xRf8+, Qe7xRf8
3. Qa1+, Qg7
4. Qa8+, Qg8
5. Qg8#
Black can still play if Kg7 instead QxRf8 it but the checkmate it matter moves
3. Qa1+ Bd4 4. Qxd4+ Qg7
yes, or on move 3.Qa1+ seems to work better, Davin is right...
@@ZdenekMicke69 yeah youre right davin, nice moves that i dont see
The only defence for Qa1+ is Qe5, so, Rb8 is deadly.
What if then RxR?
@@markferri2614 My solution is Rb8 as the FIRST move, and Qa1+ is the threat, idea behind it.

Dragon wins from the future Champion!!
There is some comment on the opening,I like to add my own: I fail to see why white is playing the weakening b2-b3.
That is if she's not planning on taking on b4,which in my opinion cannbe done with impunity.
you mean she is surrendering c2 square??
@@SurenAghabekyan she' s surrendering the c3 square ,which will tell later.
This is simply not a very good game.
@@jaapvandertuuk3785 what about today's Fischer vs Olafsson game???
Qg4 Is a Killer move
well you can do better, what if f3 check and then Qe5??
or if Kg3 then Qg6
Yeah I Missed Rb8
